Become a Tycoon

It is a man that donned in black clothes from head to toe like a ninja. But judging from what he brought with him, Jack is more convinced that he is a thief than a ninja.

The fatal wounds on its stomach seem done by the wolf from last night. The bloody internal organ that came out of it made Jack want to puke, so he decided to take the enormous black bag he was carrying.

"Thanks for collecting this for me, mate. Don't worry. I will surely make good use of it." Said Jack while putting his palm together and bowing toward the thief's dead body.

Jack tried to move them, but he wasn't able to because it was so heavy. Maybe around 120 kilograms. Filled with curiosity, he untied the rope that sealed it before looking inside.

Jack moans in astonishment to find out that the bag contained many valuable items such as jewelry and gemstones. He also found five gold, 50 silver, and 30 bronze coins; lots of blue stones; a box of matchsticks; a set of long sleeve clothes; and long pants in black color; even some bottles with dark blue, dark green, and black liquid inside them. In a blink of an eye, his status rose from some random poor slave to a wealthy tycoon.

This degree of wealth means that the thief has robbed a very wealthy family or moved all of his wealth he has been saving for years to a safe place. How ironic, he died because his wealth hindered his movement when meeting a hungry wolf in a dark forest.

The good news is, there is a big mansion or even a big city not far from here where the thief gets all of his wealth.

And the bad news is that the thief has a friend or even a group. Worse case, they have a secret hideout nearby. But judging from the amount of valuable stuff that this unfortunate thief carried, the latter is more likely than the former.

Gold, silver, and bronze coins are definitely the currency used in this world. Meanwhile, the bottle with dark green liquid is obviously a health potion, dark green is mana potion, and the black one probably a poison. With quantities of 15, 10, and 4 in succession, those bottles would be more than enough before I encounter a civilization.

He is absolutely sure that the blue-colored stone is a mana stone. The question is where he can get them because the wolf corpses he killed yesterday didn't turn into loot, money, or even mana stone. He only gained some experience from it.

Therefore, he wanted to check its dead body once more after finishing what he needs to do here.

He takes off his clothes and ties the sleeves to store all the money, some gemstone, some mana stone, the box of matchstick, and all of the potions and poison before putting the black clothes on.

"Thank God. With this much wealth, I don't need to worry about money for a long while." Said Jack with a relieved sigh.

Money is a necessary tool if he wants to get stronger faster. With all of this money, he can buy a good weapon, magic tome, rare potion, or employ a good combat teacher.

At first, Jack planned to find an installment, sell his knowledge, or even scheming a wealthy and stupid noble to acquire capital. With this, his plan could materialize sooner than planned.

As a fantasy enthusiast and RPG gamer, he wants to learn blacksmithing, tailoring, along with concocting pills or medicine on top of swordsmanship and magic. Only by mastering all these aspects could he conquer the entire world and create a portal to Earth, or if possible, become an Immortal.

But first, he needs to amass an astronomical amount of money and learn how this world works. Luckily Jack has a system to support him.

Because the bag is too big to carry, he decides to hide it in a safe place after taking what he needs. But before doing so, Jack opens the huge bag once again because he feels that something is missing. The thief's weapon!

'It should be here… he doesn't come all the way here without a weapon, isn't he?'

Not finding any weapon in the bag, Jack goes back to examine the thief belonging one more time.

With a strange face from holding back the feeling of wanting to vomit, he searched the dead body for a weapon. Jack realized a few things he missed before, like the symbol of three crossed daggers with a triangle center embroidered with gold thread. He also finds usable black leather boots and a leather belt with two weapons embedded at its side.

The first weapon is shaped like a stabbing dagger with a pointy tip but slightly thick and dull. The second one is a 15 cm very sharp commando knife. Each of them has its uses and specialties.

After getting rid of all the bloodstains, he tried wearing them.

'It feels comfortable and rather suited with this dark environment. With this, I will be harder to see.'

The boots are a little loose but won't hinder his movement, and the belt has a ten slot that matches the bottle of health and mana potion, even still has a bottle of health potion in it.

Since he no longer has a business there, Jack leaves with a bag of treasure. Because the weight is too much for him, he decided to split it into two before burying them in a hidden place. He left a mark near it before going back to where the giant wolf carcass is.

When he got there, Jack noticed a slight difference in its forehead. A tiny blue stone that was not there before now appeared between his eyes. He pries it with his commando knife and confirms that it is identical to the one he finds in the thief bag.

After killing a monster, a portion of its power will leave its body before transferring to the killer. And its mana will condense into a mana stone that will emerge in its forehead after some time. That's how the people in this world get stronger, or more precisely, one of many methods to get stronger in this world.

Witnessing a miracle similar to a game made Jack smile with anticipation of knowing all the world mechanics. He was sure he could find some way or shortcut he could exploit to make him grow stronger faster than everyone else. Just like the main character he often read in a novel.
