June 19th - Pharon's Pleasant Breakfast

Pharon gazed at the breakfast parlor around him. His eyes took in the tittering females eating like little birds and the males watching them like eagles. Now was the time that the males would typically strike. They'd had enough time to get to know the females and find out which they liked. Soon, Pharon would receive notifications of accepted offers.

Pharon was currently putting together the partners for next week's meeting events as he ate. He had a list of the female participants and the males' requests. He would write the males name in number of days her which he requested the female under the female's name. Once he was done with this, he would do the same for the males then he put together a tentative schedule.

"Alright, where is my list?" Lord Alecai's cold voice troll from above and beside Pharon.

Barron looked up at him with a guilty expression, "I don't have it, Lord Alecai." Pharon admitted.

"It's been a whole day." Lord Alecai replied angrily.

Pharon smiled uneasily, open pairings for next week. I have to get this done first."

Lord Alecai sink into the chair next to his.

As Lord Alecai began to fix himself coffee, he said, "I'll tell you what, Pharon, pick any female here and I'll arrange for her to be your secret plaything for as long as you want. When you're done with her, you can walk away completely free. In exchange, you will get me that list by the end of the day." The look on Lord Alecai face said he was certain his offer would be accepted.

Pharon grimaced, "Lord Alecai, I am sorry. I really have to get this done. Besides none of the females here are my type."

Lord Alecai eyes narrowed on him, "fine, if you want a male-"

"I want to get this done and I like females." Pharon interrupted. "what is it about this female that you like so much? If you can give me any one of them, surely you can do the same for yourself."

Lord Alecai snarled, "if I could talk to her, it wouldn't be an issue, but I can't do that if I can't find her."

"Well, I can't help you with that right now, but I can give you the best females as your partners for next week." Pharon offered with a smile.

"What about the Cow?" Lord Alecai I asked.

"That- um- it's like Blaize said yesterday. She'll probably do whatever you want her to if you say the right things. you don't need to be her partner for that." Pharon said, "Why spend more time with the blob than you need to?"

Pharon smiled, while inwardly he hoped his words were enough to convince Lord Alecai. Pharon didn't want to claim Kylara himself, but her becoming a 'husk' would upset the Archivist and he didn't want to see that happen.

"I want the Earthchild." Lord Alecai said firmly.

"I don't know who that is," Pharon replied, "but what about Lady Brook? She is quite beautiful and well behaved. You could-"

Lord Alecai eyes face descended into fury and Pharon cut off under the weight of his gaze. It was as if Lord Alecai's hand was wrapped around his throat. Pharon struggled to breathe.

"I saw her dreams. I know she's here. I want her." Lord Alecai snarled. "You will get me that list." Pharon barren pale as he heard the threat behind those words. Lord Alecai smiled and continued, "It is the least you can do since we came all this way to help you."

"Friends!" Barron managed to squeak out.

Lord Alecai lifted an eyebrow and suddenly Pharon could breathe again.

"What was that?" Lord Alecai asked.

Pharon forced himself to stop coughing long enough to answer Lord Alecai's question. "she could be a friend of a participant. we don't have any information on them."

Lord Alecai smirked, "where do I find them?"

"In the South wing." Pharon said rubbing his sore neck.

"You have two days to get me that list." Lord Alecai said. He stood and walked away smiling to himself.

Pharon stared after him as a cold sweat broke out over his body. Just what kind of monster did his mother summon to the Palace?

Looking down at his greasy sausages again, Pharon grimaced. He gathered his papers and pushed his plate away as he stood. Then he headed to the Rare Books Room.
