A Trip to the Adventurers' Guild Hall

It had been late morning when Ishmael and I had left our clearing, heading to the Adventurers' Guildhall. With Ishmael practically running, it was only 25 minutes later when we arrived in town. .

Today the town was even more of a ghost village than it was the last time we were here. No one at all was on the streets this morning, except for two well fed horses picketed outside the inn. Their coats were glossy, and their tack was polished. Someone was taking exquisite care of them.

"Must be strangers in town," I said. I nudged Ishmael in the ribs with my elbow. His eyes were unfathomable as he took in the horses.

"It is none of our business." He replied frostily. "by the way, you upset Kane."

I blinked and my mouth twisted in a frown, "how?" I pouted.

"Oh, he's jealous you never talked dirty to him. He's saying I've gotten all of your firsts, which I have." Ishmael didn't even look the least bit contrite as he said this.
