Chapter 99. Carla

The night was long, although absolutely nothing happened after my neighbors came to complain about the alleged noise I was making, which I could not hear, well, no one in the room could hear. I had checked that with my neighbor across the street, who came first to make his respective complaint on a few occasions.

The night passed quietly and without any inconvenience out of the "normal" but because of what happened I had a little trouble falling asleep, I was afraid it would happen again, avoid reading that novel or any other of that author, at least when I am here at home, "I will return everything back to the office in the morning" I thought, but then I remembered that it was Sunday, the publishing house would not be open until Monday morning. That's when I'll return the manuscript to him, I won't read it in my room anymore, although the whole point of bringing it here was so I could read it at home to get a bit of work done.
