The cult of Yami? Mikasa and Emdeath

Yami was currently sitting in a big house together with Esdeath, Raphtalia and Mikasa. There were also a few demi-humans around who were eating what Yami had cooked for them previously .

After confirming with Eve, Yami went to Paradise during the night. It had only been a few days since he last came and he apologized by making a feast for all of them. In fact, none of them were asking for anything from him and he was just making it because of the put expressions they had while eating and their wagging tails and twitching ears.

While eating he explained to his Waifus that he was currently inside a game. After that he also needed to explain what a game was. But as he came to the point that he wanted to master how to use the sword and that he wanted to train inside the game Esdeath and surprisingly Mikasa told him that they would be happy to help him.

"At the moment, that's the only thing I can do to repay your kindness of saving my life and letting me stay here."

That's what Mikasa said. Although she helped the demi-humans with everything she could, the golems that Yami gave them could easily do the muscle-work and she felt a bit useless.

They went towards a wide open field, the one where Yami and Esdeath fought last time.

While he was creating a sword with his imitation of "trace-on" he asked Esdeath. Both of them would fight him and only weapons were allowed, no skills or something like that. It was the most basic of swords, a arm-long blade that was sharp on both its edges and had a triangular tip. With a crossguard and a handle that could be used with two hands or with one hand, of course two hands was more effective and overall better.

"Indeed I have. And I have come to the conclusion…"

She stopped a bit to make her words gain more weight.

"...that it doesn't matter, I will just follow my master!"

As she said that she looked at the collar that was still around her neck. It seemed that while Yami wasn't there the real thing she thought about was accepting her masochist side instead of her values…

Yami didn't say anything and just nodded. Mikasa wasn't surprised at all since she had spent a lot of time with the newly emerged pervert next to her. Instead she readied her two blades. Although her real expertise was in the 3D gear, she was still the best swordsman ever seen in the AOT universe. The gear would need to be changed accordingly to the present world since the gas it was using was just too slow to compete with other supernatural beings. Yami thought about giving her wings or something like that since that would be the best way to make use of her skill. Sadly he didn't have enough "energy" to directly give such things to her permanently, he would need to change her whole race to be able to do that. Eve said that he didn't need to do any of this however, he would just need to wait for her evolution after she got to affection level 100 and placed into the Lovers category.

On that note, Yami had also looked after Tsunade's evolution and she was still unconscious. But Eve told him that she would awaken soon.

He would first battle Mikasa, he wanted to know how strong she was. She was just a normal human without anything special besides her Ackerman bloodline. But there was this thing called Probability and since she trained in killing much stronger beings since she was little, in one of the hardest to survive worlds, she could probably defeat quite a lot of people and even low class devils.

Yami decided that it was best to attack her directly since she was trained in offense rather than defense.

Both of them had actual swords, no, Mikasa had the ones she used in AOT and Yami's is different. If Mikasa was hit, nothing would happen since Yami used the powers he got in Paradise to make the sword not damage her. Knickback and such were still there, but the chances of her being injured were almost non-existent. If he could even hit her that is…

And if Yami was cut? He will be in for a lot of pain! Yami knew that he would need to get used to feeling pain and if he would need to either way, he would rather do it in controlled circumstances instead of while being in mortal fight. He didn't need to fear cuts or anything since he was a slime with self-regeneration. Even with his head cut off or his heart pierced, there were no problems.

He felt pain in a slime body?

No. Eve told him that the race of slime had a passive ability that just removed the pain-receptors, or rather, stopped them from sending the signals from the body to the mind. But Yami had deactivated it ever since he knew of it.

He knew that he would experience pain in the future. Even if his body didn't feel it, there were attacks that literally wounded one's soul. And if his skills were suppressed, just like in SAO at the moment, he would need to learn how to handle pain. Physical and mental one.

Since every time soul-pain was described in any kind of anime or Novel, it is said that it is way worse than just physical pain. Not wanting to have to start training with the most excruciating pain, Yami would first try to adapt to the physical one. That was probably also one of the reasons why God made it, that he could feel pain but with downgraded extend. This was the first step in training for the real thing that would come.

As Yami ran towards Mikasa he lowered his body and held his sword with his right hand, ready to make a piercing attack. His left arm was slightly raised.

Since a stab was hard to block, Mikasa twisted his body to the left at the last second before she was hit. She used her right sword to slash at Yami but he had also already jumped back.

Both of them were surprised by how good the other was. Don't get them wrong, none of them underestimated the enemy, it was just that to Mikasa; Yami was a beginner and didn't really have much combat experience. And to Yami; Mikasa was too fast for what a normal human should be able to.

Now that both of them knew a bit more about the other's prowess, Mikasa decided to get more serious and started her own attack.

Yami was just barely able to dodge her first swing but his left arm was cut by Mikasa's left blade.

Even if he had the stats to see her attack, he wasn't trained enough to react to it in the right way in the timespan of less than a second.

He needed to train more, he needed his body to have reflexes that he could dodge even without having enough time to process the attack.

Mikasa didn't wait for him, she wanted to show him that she was good at sword-fighting and that she could teach him a thing or two.

Closing in on him once again, she simultaneously slashed with her right while stabbing with her left. This feat was very hard for humans because the hands were doing two completely different things, this showed how skilled Mikasa was in fighting with two swords at the same time.

Within split seconds Yami needed to make a decision; the stab was aiming right for his heart while the slash came from his left. The stab was more dangerous!

While he was able to press against the stab, pushing it away from his body, he tried to create a sword in his left hand as well. Because of the short time he was only able to make it a dagger or rather, a kunai. He was able to barely hold Mikasa's slash right before it hit his body. He needed to put all his strength to keep her from pushing his kunai into his own body.

The next moment he left pain from his right side. While he was putting too much focus on defending his left side, Mikasa had kicked him in his gut.

Before he could even stand up, Mikasa already put one of her baldes near his throat. It was his defeat.

Not surprising, it would be rather unlogical if he was able to defeat "humanity's strongest woman". It was debatable if she was stronger or weaker than Levi, thus not the name of strongest warrior.

He knew that she was holding back and her real strong point was still the 3D gear but he was sure that he could gain a lot from her.

"That was a good fight, Yami-sama."

Esdeath, who seemed to now call him sama, came over to him and congratulated her "Master". But he could see that she didn't like that Yami lost against Mikasa while winning against her.

She wanted to challenge Mikasa later but decided to wait since she knew that in pure sword-fighting Mikasa was superior while in overall power, she was stronger because of her Magic. To change her focus she asked Yami another important question:

"Should I call you Master, Master? Yami-sama or Master? Or something else?"

This was one of the most difficult choices he had ever faced…

"I like both very much, but I think it would be better if you called me Yami-sama, you are my wife and only mine, you shouldn't act so distant."

(And I can already think of a lot of people who might start calling me Master…)

After that the three of them sparred again and Yami lost again. Of course, they both attacked him at the same time and were already lost against Mikasa alone and Esdeath was very good with her rapier. He would most definitely lose against her if it came to just weapon-combat. She was a expericended general after all.

And there was another thing that happened in Paradise after Yami left: The rumor that Yami liked to be addressed as either Sama or Master. His "fan-club" were the first to hear of it from Esdeath and the first ones to think whether they should call him Sama or master. Most of them decided that they should call him master since "Sama" was reserved for the really "close" people. Raphtalia was given permission by Esdeath to call him Yami-sama and she was very happy about that.

Yami was back in his room, he wasn't in Paradise for that long and still had some time to sleep and "recharge". A whole day of fighting is very straining for one's mind. But before that:

"Can I take things from paradise to SAO? Specifically people."

{You can't "materialize" things you made in Paradise in SAO like you can in the main world. People are different, those in your Soul-World can also "play" this game. They will be set at the same level as you but have no equipment. You would have to give the items to them.}

Being very satisfied by that answer he closed his eyes.

"But seriously, I still don't know what my plan here is… First I should try to get stronger and get more fighting experience… But the real objective of all of this is not the 100th floor! It is Asuna!! And I don't know what I should do with Silica and Lizbeth… Silica is cute but I don't really have any feelings for her besides that. The same for Liz… I will just adapt to the situation."

Having made up his mind Yami just went to sleep. Of course, if God were to choose one of the outcomes he would just go with that.

After two days of hunting and questing Yami reached Level three. He still used the sword he got from the wolf and it was pretty useful since it was a lot stronger than the ones that could be bought with his money at the moment. He collected all the loot he could and kept the good swords and rapiers he got instead of selling them. Mikasa and Esdeath weren't just trophies to be collected, they were warriors, or in Emdeath's case; his personal Warrior-slave.

Yes, Emdeath. You should understand.

He didn't plan to fight all of his battles alone. Especially at the moment he was just a normal human and both of them were stronger than him, because of the restrictions of SAO. But he was also planning to make a peerage that would fight together with him and Esdeath would definitely be part of it. This world was mostly training for him and he should train in team-work and fighting alongside others as well. He didn't know about Mikasa since she was just a normal human at the moment and wouldn't be that strong in the long run, but he already knew that the "evolution" would do something about it.

"Should I try the mini-boss alone or together with them? It would certainly be easier and have a higher chance of success with both of them…"

Yami had already confirmed that the monster was still alive. There were probably a few players that already died while trying to defeat it. More and more players made it to this town within the last days, those were either Beta-players or very good parties.

"There is literally no reason why I should endanger my life more than necessary if there is another, better method."

But he still needed to level more to stand toe to toe against a boss. He once heard in one of the Sword Art Offline interviews from Yui that players usually fight bosses while being 10 levels above them. Even if it is only a mini boss, it would be very foolish to attack it while being lower leveled than it.

"Another day of happy hunting!"

With these words Yami once again walked towards the plaza where the quest-board was and accepted another few "kill xxx" quests. Gaining EXP while completing a quest, two birds with one stone.

As Yami walked towards the end of the city he was scrolling through his inventory.

(I should learn how to use other weapons as well. Daggers are at the top of the list… But I should wait for that until I can use the sword very well!)

He strode out of the town and started to decimate the monster population in the surroundings.

Another six days passed while doing the same. Nothing really interesting happened, but now Yami understood another thing: This is really abridged! Most of the time the other players would be pretty normal but sometimes they suddenly said or did something that was weird but funny. And he can't remember how many people he saw running into the forest while screaming:

"LEERROY JENKINS!!!!!!"

The good thing was that Yami got to level 5 within that time. Esdeath and Mikasa also joined him in SAO, at least for a short time. Yami wanted to confirm something first; that he wouldn't get EXP if Esdeath or Mikasa got EXP, and this applied to the "Main world" as well, according to Eve.

They fought a few weak monsters together and after Yami told them that he planned to defeat the Mini-boss they were very hyped, they could help him and were happy about that. He still wanted to wait for a little bit, at least level 6 until he fought it.

Both of the girls told him that they would like to polish their fighting abilities even more in this game. But they would rather be in paradise because they felt "safe" and "warm" there, according to their own words. Probably because it was Yami's soul. Mikasa just needed to learn a bit who to best fight against humans and other monsters instead of just giant titans. Esdeath didn't want to be outdone by Mikasa and wanted to improve as well.

After a while both of them went back into Paradise. These weak monsters weren't enough to make them improve themselves.

The three of them sparred against each other every night. They decided that if one won, they could get one wish. Both of them won against Yami because they fought with a degree of enthusiasm that Yami had never seen. It was obvious that both of them were dead-set on getting that wish.

Esdeath's request was… well, Yami tied her into bondage and "stimulated" her to the degree that she passed out with an Ahegao face. Yami noticed that he was very talented with a whip actually… Of course he just "stimulated" her and didn't pierce her. He wanted to wait for Tsunade to wake up first before having sex with any of them. He didn't know whether to take Tsunade or Esdeath first… for him it wasn't important but he didn't know how about the girls.

Mikasa's wish was something that surprised Yami; a simple kiss. He didn't expect her to already have such feelings for him, but he still complied, after that he looked at her affection and was a bit dumbfounded.

Even now, Yami was currently walking back from another quest, he still looked at the screen in front of him with great surprise. He thought that it would be a lot harder and that it would take a lot more time.

(Eve, why is the affection level of Mikasa already at a stage like that even if I didn't really do much with her? She isn't such an easy girl or a special case such as Esdeath. Is it because of all the time inside Paradise?)

He once again looked at the affection of Mikasa.

Compared to the players, only Beta-testers would be further than him, but Yami was sure that he would be able to catch up with them. As Kirito said at the start, the Beta testers were only able to reach the 7th Floor. Most of them probably knew a lot about the first floor but after that only real skill and of course levels was what decided how good a player was.

After completing the quests he went back to his room in the inn. He grew a bit fond of it after being in there for over a week.

"Around three weeks left before the boss-raid on the boss… I need to get as strong as possible and try to get into contact with the characters from the series. Though I don't know where Kirito and Asuna are at the moment, I'm sure that I will find at least one of them before one month passes. Once I'm done with the mini-boss I will go around the first floor and try to get as much as I can."

Yami stood up from the bed he previously laid down on.

"Sate, sate, sate."

That night the "screams" and mostly moans from Esdeath's ice-palast were audible all over Paradise.

The next morning the "fan-club" of Yami, which now also included Mikasa, had a meeting of grave importance. Emdeath couldn't attend since she was too exhausted after yesterday's night.

All of them came to the consensus that Yami liked master - servant relationships and the demi-humans swore an oath to serve their Master, Yami, the best they could.

Since Esdeath was rewarded (punished) since she had helped him gaining a new Wife, Mikasa, the demi-human fan-club and later on Esdeath, started to invite other demi-human females into their ranks. After a short while almost every single female was a devoted "servant" of "Yami-sama"/Master. Esdeath and Mikasa were the heads of the group, as Yami's wifes, and Raphtalia was 2. Ranked person in this, well, "Cult of Yami".

They all trained together in combat and so on since that way they could be more useful to their new master. Esdeath showed how to fight with a rapier and Mikasa explained about sword-fighting. Several of them chose the sword while a few tried the rapier. But most of them noticed that they were good with daggers. Esdeath and Mikasa noticed that demi-humans were very capable assassins and could hide their presence well, making them good scouts as well. Raphtalia was instructed personally by Mikasa since she had great potential as a sword-fighter and they knew she was favored by Yami.

Without him knowing, Yami had his own cult of adorable demi-human girls who were devoted solely to him and trained to become a force to be reckoned with in the future.

Yami would later name them; Shadow Foxes and they would become one of the main divisions of his future army. They were the scouts and assassins directly under him and his wifes.
