Travelling to a new galaxy

They had finally departed from Earth. Ken looked at the vast space from the window and was amazed. Only one word came to his mind.

"Beautiful."

As the distance from the Earth slowly began to increase so did the speed of their ship. Ryu looked in front and warned,

"Brace yourselves. We are approaching a jump gate "

Ken looked back at him confused,

"Jump gat--"

Just before ken could brace himself the ship entered a weird circle. The speed increased tremendously. Light started to rupture. Violet rays everywhere. Ken looked at his hand as it feels like it was multiplying. The ship started to feel a little unstable. Ryu and Akame were on their seat tightly bucking themselves with their belts whereas Ken was flying from one side to another. He felt dizzy as he screamed. Akame getting pissed yelled,

"Why didn't you buckle yourself, you idiot!"

Ken while hitting one side after another replied,

"I'm..."

Hits the left side.

"Sorry"

Hits the right side. Akame was irritated but decided to ignore it. Meanwhile, Ryu wasn't paying attention to this at all and was quietly reading his book. The ship was shaking aggressively. The color around them started to change from violet to rainbow-like as a white light starts to glow in the end as if it marked the end of a tunnel. The ship came out of the tunnel and they reached another space. Ken shook his head to fix his blurry vision. He murmured,

"What the hell was that?""That was a jump gate."

Ryu nonchalantly responded while reading his book. Ken looked at the vast space around him. Different stars, colorful planets all in front of him.

Ken asked,

"Whats this jump gate we went through?"

"It's a connection between galaxies. Using it we can travel from one place to another 100 times the speed of light."

"Woah!!!"

This information amazed Ken. Akame sighed,

"And you want to explore the universe without even knowing that?"

Ken replied immediately,

"Not just that. I plan on becoming the Overlord too."

"The Overlord, huh?"

Akame was speechless hearing those words.

As the stars passed by them Ken looked at them with awe. Akame got up and went inside one of the bedrooms.

"I need a break from all of this" she sighed. Ryu also got up from his seat and responded,

"I'm gonna go take a shit."

Ken was there staring at the main control area. Suddenly Ryu pulled his shoulder and threatened,

"Do not and I repeat do not touch a single damn button"

He went to the bathroom. Ken looked at Ryu with anger.

'That bastard. Does he think I wouldn't be even able to fly something as simple as a spaceship? I will show him!"

Ken jumped in the main seat with enthusiasm. He stared at the main control panel with confusion.

"Woah. so many different buttons."

Out of curiosity he almost pressed a button with his left hand but realized what he was about to do and immediately used his other hand to pull his left hand back.

"no-no-no. I shouldn't do this foolishly. But I mean how hard can flying a ship be. Granted I have never been able to ride anything properly, not even my own freaking bike..."

he suddenly recalls his school days where he would always fall of his bike or lose his direction and hit objects.

Suddenly a button caught Ken's eyes. A huge red button had a warning symbol on it.

"No, I shouldn't"

He started to take a short peek at the button. He stared at the button aggressively. He began to have illusions in his own head. He felt as if the button was speaking to him.

"I know you wanna press me to do it..come on..."

"No, I can't.."

"Just do it..."

"No, I mustn't. Ryu told me to..."

"Arent you the captain. Go ahead push me down."

Back in one of the bedrooms. Akame jumped on the bed immediately.

"Such an exhausting day..."

She silently looked at her surrounding then at her own palms

"Why am I here with these two weirdos...That moment...

She recalled the words Ken had said.

"I decided you are gonna be part of my crew!"(Ken)

"Does that idiot even realize what those words carry? "

Feeling flustered she tucked her head with the pillow.

"Let's not think about this and get some sleep. It would take us about 8 hours to reach Urgonia anyways. There I will part my ways with them once and for all. After all, they can't handle the burden I carry. Especially him(Ken)...It feels strange. I was tasked to get the Emerald even if it means killing him yet..."

she slowly closed her eyes to sleep.

Back on the ship,

Ryu flushed and walked outside. He slowly walked close to the control room when he saw something he shouldn't have. Ken slowly closing his finger on the button that should not be pressed. He started to run towards Ken yelling,

"Don't press or we will.."

before he could finish Ken had pressed the button. Without a second's notice, the ship ejects its engines and wooshes with intense speed. Akame who was trying to sleep immediately gets yeeted out of her bed and hits the front mirror. It didn't take her a single moment to understand who caused this.

"Yep definitely gonna kill him" she had found her resolve again.

Ken screamed as the speed was so intense. He felt as if his eyes would pop off. he tried to control the ship but it was getting worse. The ship was now moving in all kinds of directions. Ryu had enough. He yelled,

"Fuck this!

Using his electricity meto he appeared in front of the control panel within a split second and pulled a lever located on the top corner.

the ship finally slowed down. Ken took a big gasp but laughed He looked at Ryu and responded,

"Hehehe. Now that was fun."

"What part of that was fun!" Ryu yelled

"Relax nothing severe happened now"

Suddenly they both could feel a vicious and blood-thirsty aura coming from one of the bedrooms. As the door of the bedroom opened Ken was shaking to his core. Akame's face was covered in some blood. Her eyes were that of a demon and her hair seemed to be floating. She clenched her fist and used to Ken yelling,

"Ken! You bastard!"

Ken became frantic. His words weren't coming out straight. he mumbled,

"ah..wait. I can explain, you see..."

Even though Ken screamed in agony, no one could save him from what was to come.

With this, their adventure had just begun.
