The doors remain shut.

There lays it Infront of me, a tall structure complete with hollow windows that remain miscoloured from the years of neglect. Vines of nature strangle the uninhabited building which once was a place for happy souls to live, but now all that remains is the echoing screams that lurk in the walls build years ago. I walk forward until my feet hit something solid.

A staircase, steep and concreated with years of abandonment. Walking up them feels like I'm disrupting the eternal silence, I am met with tall oak doors, painted with thick black paint but has not been recovered in years, I place my hand on the steel handles, a shock of cold pain stings my fingertips as I press down to hear a click and the door unlocks. I try to push the door forward but it's too stiff, I place both hands on the peeling black paint and push it forward, finally it creaks forward like alarm bells to warn the house I am here. Piercing through my eardrums, warning me off.

I take a step into the empty house and close the door behind me.

The silence has been restored.

As soon as I walk forward, the cold breath of the house hits me in the face. I stroke my arms to remind myself not a part of the house, I'm still alive. I carry on exploring the house taking each foot with careful thought. The main hallway is long and wide, completed with the finest solid wood that does not seem to of decayed, tall walls filled with long pictures of lakes and crowded forests. I -

A noise.

"Hello?" I speak out into the open atmosphere, but it echoes through the walls and bounces from roof to floor.

No reply.

Another noise.

Louder.

Again.

And again.

And again, again, again.

The noises increase from all around me, I spin around from side to side spinning me from reality. I stop and head towards the door, I press down on the handle to leave. But I'm stopped. Its wont move. I press harder, harder and harder. But nothing. I begin to panic and my heart pounds in my head echoing around me.

I am trapped.

The house will not let me leave.
