(Lucian's POV)

I glared at Devon. "Why the fuck did you follow me?" I growled. "Anyone could have followed you. You didn't cover up your scent. You seem to forget we are at war." He stated shrugging. "Don't patronize me." I growled. "What were you guys doing anyway?" Devon asked. "Kissing. Touching. Talking. I think she likes me." I breathed. Devon grinned. "You look happy. What'd you do? Touch her boobs?" Devon taunted. "I actually did." I said proudly. Shock flashed on his face, but he was quick to hide it.

"You might sleep with her before you guys even start dating. Damn!" Devon groaned. "What?" I asked. "Just got some info from Christian. Asher's Gammas live in the same apartment as her. We need to move her out." A snarl ripped through my chest. This really complicated shit. "I can't go over her place. I can't leave my scent over there. They'll know." I muttered. "What if I gave her her paycheck early and offer her to live in one of our many penthouses?" Devon asked. "She might not take it. She's so goddamned stubborn, you should know that. I should offer her the penthouse. She might take it if it's from me." I offered. Devon nodded. "You can't come to my office anymore. Inayah will get distracted." Devon teased.

I glared at him. "I will go and see her when I want to see her." I growled. Devon laughed. "You're so deep in fucking love." And he was right. I was in love. I wanted to be in love.

(EvaLyn's POV)

I walked through the building my heels clicking on the tiles. When I reached the door to Alpha Asher's office, I knocked. "Come in EvaLyn." I got tingles down my spine hearing his voice. No we weren't mates. I wish we were though. I opened the door. Asher was sitting in his couch. His eyes were reddish and his wavy black hair was wild today. His bare feet were kicked up on the coffee table. "Asher." I whispered. When he realized I was there his eyes cleared of all red and became grey.

"EvaLyn. The information." His voice was hoarse and tired. "Inayah works for Devon. She and Lucian will be going out tonight." I looked into his eyes, looking for any emotion, but they were empty. He jumped to his feet and I stepped closer. "Where, EvaLyn? You haven't told me where." Asher pleaded. He sounded desperate. I sighed. He was still hung up on her. "Oriole. Inayah will be in green. Lucian will be in blue." I said reluctantly.

"Thanks. This is why I love you." My heart skipped a beat. Love?! He loved me! "We should go out together Alpha!" I gasped. He looked at me puzzled. That's when I realized he meant he loved the information I brought. Not me. "Too keep an eye on things. To spy on them." I tried to say with the same smile and enthusiasm. Asher grinned. "Okay. We go out and spy on them. I like this plan. Be there by 5." My grin returned. Asher basically asked me out.
