The car rolled to a stop in front of a really nice restaurant. I carefully eased out of the car, pulling my dress down. I couldn't make a fool of myself at a place this nice. Lucian walked around and held a hand out to me. I grabbed it desperately. Lucian was probably used to high-end restaurants like this one, but I was not. The most expensive restaurant I'd ever been to was Friendly's and that was just for ice cream.
Lucian took me inside and up some stairs. There was a candle lit table in the middle of an empty room. A table for two. I hid behind my hands. Lucian couldn't have specifically ordered out this whole floor. "Do you like it?" I felt Lucian's lip brush my ear. "I love it so much. No one's ever done something like this for me." I choked back tears. It wasn't that serious, but Lucian clearly cared. Or he was just used to throwing away money.
"Good. I want to be the best thing that ever happens to you." Lucian purred. I blushed and felt my feistiness return. "Shut up Romeo!" I snapped. I stormed to the table and sat in the seat across from the windows. Lucian sat across from me. "How many questions left?" Lucian asked. "I have 4 left until the score it even." I answered. "Well go ahead and shoot." Lucian leaned back in his seat.
"When's your birthday?" I asked. "Easy. December 31. Are you about to check my horoscope?" Lucian asked. "Something like that." He grinned. "I promise we're compatible." I rolled my eyes. "Sure we are. Do you have any siblings?" I asked. Lucian nodded. "My little sister, Lilac. She'd think you're adorable." Little sister? Mom always said a man with a sister only knows how to treat a woman right. Maybe, just maybe he'd get a second date. "Do you have any other close relatives?" I asked. Lucian shook his head and left it at that. "What about your parents?" I asked.
Lucian tensed. "We're close enough." I waited for him to say more, but that was all that I got. "Well it's your turn now."
