My p@treon has the extra chapters that you can check out. It's best value to join now in the beginning of the month. Do check that out.

Also, I'm writing this book called 'Legacy Firing'. Please read it. Its in the novel section but under a different author. If that book reaches 100 collections, I am going to post 2 extra chapters here. Seeing that we have 5800 readers here at this book I see that an okay accomplishment. But don't do it just for the chapters. I put a lot of effort into it.

Charlus stood up immediately and went to his master.

"Are you okay master?"

Nicholas Flamel had looked so pale, beyond his normal look. He looked so frail as if he was clinging to his life.

Charlus helped Nicholas Flamel sit down. Flamel took some time to calm down and then started speaking.

"I see that you were successful."

Charlus nodded. He was more concerned with his teacher's condition.

"You don't need to worry about me. It's not my time to die... yet."

Charlus immediately refuted.

"You shouldn't speak like that teacher. You have the philosopher's stone. You can live indefinitely."

Nicholas Flamel laughed lightly.

"Philosopher's Stone. I don't even know how word got out that I was successful in making one. Charlus, do you know what a philosopher's stone does?"

"It produces the Elixer of Life which can heal all injuries and prolong one's life. It can also make any metal into gold."

Flamel laughed lightly.

"No. That is not true. If this Elixer of Life was really so great, and if I had an unlimited supply of it, why did I use Phoenix Blood to stop you from dying when I saved you all those years ago?"

Charlus didn't have an answer. Nicholas Flamel continued.

"People are fixated on the fact that I created a Philosopher's Stone. I didn't. What I have is only a part. I can only create the Elixer of Life."

Charlus was surprised at the new revelation but wasn't bothered. What use was gold when one had the Elixer of Life?

"Many asked me how I created the Philosopher's Stone. How I was able to achieve such a feat. But the simple fact is, and will always be that no human will ever be able to create a Philosopher's Stone. It is a myth and will remain to be for eternity. Death will never allow such an object to exist."

Charlus became confused.

"Then is what you have not a Philosopher's Stone."

Flamel shook his head.

"It is a kind of philosopher's stone. I just wasn't the one who created it."

"Who created it then?"

"A Phoenix. A part of it. Alchemy is never creating something from nothing. You need a starting point. The starting point I chose was the blood of a Half-Phoenix. I never obtained the Blood of a Full-Phoenix by then. When I tried to create the Philosopher's Stone with this Blood, I failed. The leftover remnants of my experiment could be considered the Philosopher's Stone I have. Since it produces the Elixer of Life, it can still be considered a Philosopher's Stone. I was unable to control the blood of a Half-Phoenix, and so I knew I would never be able to use the Blood of a True-Phoenix. it is indeed better off in you."

Charlus took a second to ingest the information. Nicholas Flamel continued.

"That's why you should never try to create a Philosopher's Stone. Your blood is special. You are a half-Phoenix, a creature of life. Your existence doesn't need a failed experiment to live forever. A Phoenix is eternal. You will also be eternal."

Charlus was shocked at his teacher's words. His teacher was essentially saying that he would be immortal. He needed a lot of time to take that in. His teacher, however, wasn't interested in giving him time.

"You should get ready to go back home. It's December already. You will want to spend your last few months with your friends to the fullest. Try to enjoy."

Charlus was trying to finish off both his OWLs and NEWTs in the same year. It was unheard of but still possible. The reason he was doing it was so that he would qualify for an apprenticeship at Hogwarts. His teacher told him that he would tell him the danger that his brother would be facing only when he was done with his NEWTs and would come back to the Flamel Manor the following year.

Nicholas Flamel finished his breakfast and went to his room with the help of Maxy. Charlus went to pack his bags. Charlus was done with packing his bags and decided to explore the forest of the Flamel Manor one time before going back to the Black Manor.

Charlus went outside the Manor. He decided to try and change to his Phoenix form for the first time in real life. It wasn't as difficult as he thought and he quickly was able to become a Phoenix. Charlus quickly flew into the forest and scoured through the forest to find any creature. After an unsuccessful search, Charlus returned to the Manor. Unbeknownst to him, a pair of cold eyes were watching from start to finish as he turned back into his human form and went back to the Manor.
