After one year

A year has been passed since Alfin came to this world, he has become very strong, if we measure his strength according to earth's standard he has become a superhuman. He has killed many strong monsters in the area where he was residing. He has even killed the mammoth looking monster which he saw on the first day of his hunting, and now he use its tusk as a spear although it was not straight but it was very good at poking holes in monsters. The stronger the monster Alfin eats the stronger he becomes and it also boosts his healing abilities and eyesight. The monsters in this world are mysterious they also hunt each other for the same.

Alfin has made his mind to move from here as he has killed almost all the monsters of this region and also because he wants to explore this world, he had been too lonely this whole year but he had become a little used to this loneliness. Now he wants to become more strong as this was the only reason keeping him sane in this murderous world.

Alfin took all the stuff he would need and discarded the rest, like his extra clothes and the weapons he made which were of no use now, he had made a pouch out of monster leather to store some water for his journey and some dried meat. When all the preparations were done he was ready to set off on a new journey. He took a particular direction and started moving with a aim to become strong.

Alfin was fed up of living in the forest and slow life so he made a resolution that he would not stop in any place for more than a week to make his life more thrilling. Until he was out of the forest he kept walking, taking only short break for sleeping and eating, and he killed all the monsters which came on his way. It took him almost three months to get out of the forest region, only to see mountains which were so big that he could not see its peak from below. This area was giving him the vibe that he will die for sure, now he was not sure that he should go the mountain, he was sure that he would face monsters that were much stronger than the ones he faced previously.

Alfin made a decision to go anyway, if he lives in the forest his life would be peaceful as there were no monsters left in the forest that could defeat him, so he would die from old age in the forest. But if he goes to the mountains he would face many strong monsters and there will also be chance of him getting stronger and surviving. The mountain range in front of him was endless, till where his eyes can see he saw only mountains that were very big.

He started trekking the mountain in front of him, the path was very steep and very hard climb but he was become very strong so he could climb easily now it only depends on his stamina how long he could go on, he did not face any monsters when he was at he foothill. But when he reached a certain height he saw a ugly monster bird flying towards him and taking as a prey. He got ready for battle, this was his first time seeing a flying type monster and it would be very hard to fight it . He had no advantages in this fight because he was in open and there was no cover for him and the bird can fly high and easily evade him and can also fly away if the fight was disadvantageous to it.

Alfin was on a hard spot now, he planned on taking it down in one shot he grabbed a stone from the ground and aimed it at its wing but he missed, he picked up as many stones he could pick and started a barrage on the bird, now he did not care if he hits its wings because he knew his aim was very bad, though he doesn't have aim but he had strength, enough to take down the bird from the sky in two or three shots. And eventually the bird got hit by the stones multiple time and lost its balance in the air and started falling down, Alfin took out his spear and threw it at the bird with all his strength, he doesn't want to give any chance to the bird monster to retaliate.

And his spear hit the bird on its neck which was pierced through, and the bird died instantly. now it was Alfin's dinner time as the three moons were starting to come at the sky, now he has to find a good place to rest and cook the bird meat, it took him an hour to find a natural cave which was not very big but had enough space for him to sleep. The bird monster's meat was very delicious, the monsters from the forest were nothing compared to it. After eating he went to sleep, tomorrow he has to continue his journey, he wants to cross this mountain range and see what is beyond.
