Love and Deceit

Belinda had intended to put a call through to Rico much later in the day. Because, in her opinion, his research was taking too long, and she had concluded to turn up the heat on him, to geer him to work faster and take his task more seriously.

When Rico was set to leave Palermo, he had only just informed her that he wanted to embark on a journey which was paramount to the Intel assessment. Thus, leaving her hanging.

But, since Belinda had always known Rico to be trustworthy and deserving of her total reliance, she had let him off the hook, to go wherever and do whatever he needed to do.

As her mobile phone continued to buzz in her hands with the Caller ID displaying 'Rico', Belinda knew that whatever his reason was for calling at that instant, had to be something important. Also, she concluded that his Intel would be about none other than her sworn-enemy, Concetta.
