Love and Deceit

Belinda could not lie to herself, she was mesmerized by his confidence. Of course, he didn't know how brutal she'd become since the last time they'd met. He was oblivious of a lot of things, but she assumed that if he'd had a little inkling about whose daughter she was, his feelings for her would have been long dead, buried, and forgotten.

That was her logic countering the emotions that erupted her whole at this point. Nathan's enchanting gaze had caused her mind to freeze...

She could have fallen and become completely entrapped by him, but she recovered her senses at once.
