Gioia had walked quite a bit, but she was used to taking long strolls. Her limbs had gotten used to the exercise, and she particularly enjoyed the morning walks, at least until the sun decided to reveal its head much later and ruin the fun of such walks.
A few more strides and Gioia had gotten to Concetta's abode.
She sighed once she'd caught sight of the tiny hut.
"Finally!" she muttered and sauntered her way excitedly to meet with her friend.
"Concetta! Concetta!" she called out once she had approached the little house. However, she didn't get any answer at first.
Taking two steps forward, Gioia positioned her hand and planted a knock on the door.
No answer.
She knocked again.
No answer.
She knocked for the third time.
No answer.
She gasped.
