Shelter

The next day, we were sitting around a campfire. Seth made sure to keep me close to him. It made me smile just a bit. I looked up and noticed he was glaring at them. I rolled my eyes and nudged him."You haven't eaten one bite of your food" I whispered to him, pointing towards his fish and fruits we had found earlier that day.

"I'm not hungry" He said.

I huffed quietly. "That's a lie. You haven't eaten all day" I stated. "You'll need your strength, Seth" I added.

He looked down at me and sighed. "Alright fine" He grumbled and began eating.

I smirked satisfied and patted his head. He coughed quietly with a small blush formed on his face. Of course I was the only one to have noticed. It made me giggle."Hush" He hissed playfully.

I giggled once more, shaking my head lightly.

An hour or so had past, and we decided to get some sleep. The pirates had made a place for themselves to sleep using pieces of the ship, leaves, and sticks. Meanwhile, Seth had found a small cave. The two of us went into the cave where he had built a small fire for me. He kept a small bowl of water and some berries on the side.

"If you get hungry, feel free to help yourself" He told me.

I nodded and he laid down. I looked at his long snake tail curiously. A moment later he placed me on his tail comfortably.

"Thanks" I said quietly.

He nodded already half asleep. I sighed tiredly, letting myself fall asleep as well.

I woke up a few hours later, to the sound of rain and footsteps. The pirates walked into the cave soaking wet. Seth opened one eye and flashed his fangs.

"What do you want?" He hissed.

"It's raining out there. We need some shelter" John said.

"That sounds like a you problem" Seth stated.

"Come on. Just one night?" The pirate asked.

"Not gonna happen"

"But-"

"I said no" Seth told him, annoyed. They each mumbled to themselves walking away.

"Bloody pirates" Seth mumbled closing his eyes. "You didn't have to be so mean about it" I told him.

"Yes I did, kitty. It's the only way to get them to listen" He said quietly.

"I'm sure there are other-""Shh go to sleep, little cat" He mumbled, petting between my ears. I started purring, falling back asleep peacefully.
