Battle and Death

Daron just sat back and enjoyed most of the show, while controlling his Internal Energy Core to keep supplying his body with enough Internal Energy to keep fighting.

Fals, who was nearly dead and was barely hanging onto consciousness while breathing heavily saw the next scene with complete shock. However, he seemed to have also come a realisation from the words that Turk and Alan spoke.

The way Daron moved was as thought it was a master who had been at Rank 6 for countless years and had fully mastered the strength to a level that could even match up to the power displayed by a newly advanced Rank 7 knight. Furthermore, his movements were perfect in every sense of the word. He did not make a single error that the human mind and body normally made, and it was like Fals was witnessing the work of a god.

Daron moved, dodging all incoming attacks from the two Official knights that had put Fals at death's door, and was also counter attacking.

Within just 2 minutes of fighting, the enemies had countless wounds on them, although none of these wounds were too deep, they caused a lot of pain and bleeding. If the knights tried to use their circulation methods to heal themselves, they should be able to do so within a minute or so, but Daron did not give them this luxury.

At this moment, Turk made a decision and turned around and began running, leaving Alan stunned as he saw his brother abandoning him. However, this single moment of disbelief gave Daron the perfect opportunity, and Sirious did not waste it. Instantly, Alan's head flew into the air.

Daron knew that chasing after Turk was a waste of energy since he would not be able to match the speed of a Rank 7 knight, even though he may be slightly injured.

Instead, he went closer to Fals and asked Sirious.

'Can I save him?'

[That is impossible Master Daron.]

Daron gave out a long sigh before kneeling next to Fals and bowing him head. He had already taken back control from Sirious. Unknowingly, through his shut eyes that were almost touching the dust and rubble covered ground, two streaks of crystal-like tears came out.

Daron never assumed himself to be a strong person who could be emotionless in any circumstance. He was in fact incredibly emotional, but was just not good at expressing it. Therefore, to prevent others from misinterpreting his thoughts, he simply put on an indifferent and calm expression most of the time, even in his past life back on earth. But this façade was finally broken for the first time.

Not only had this man taught him a lot, but he had also saved Daron's life twice, once in the forest and once now while he was advancing. Daron owed this man two life debts, but he could not even save his life once.

An indescribable sense of loss took over his body. Daron knew that he did not behave like he cared about Fals a lot, but he actually did. Even though only around 3 months had passed since he met this 20-year-old Rank 6 knight, he owed this man too much.

"Keke~ Do not worry little Daron. My mission is complete, and you have successfully reached Rank 6. However, you need to leave now. Your identity as a draconian has been revealed to those people."

*Cough*

"News of your existence will soon reach the outside world, and the countless enemies will come after you. Whether they are enemies with the Draconian clan and wish to vent their anger on you, a weak and sole draconian, or whether they are greedy for your blood, they will swarm this place like locusts."

*Cough**Cough*

"You need to leave right now. Do not worry about your family. The Holy Church is a superpower that no one dares to offend, after all, the gods are watching. No matter what you do, and even if you wipe out all evidence and all witnesses, nothing can escape the watch of the gods. They will be safe as long as they reveal their identities as orphans raised by the Holy Church."

"However, I'm afraid that Master will not be able to last much longer against the enemies. He is currently stalling for time so that his family can escape through the secret tunnel in the treasury. You need to go to the lowest floor of the main building of the castle and enter the treasury by entering the password that is knocking 4 times, waiting a second, knocking 4 times again, waiting 3 seconds, and then knocking once loudly before revealing your identity as master's disciple. The guards inside will allow you to enter. From there you need to follow…"

After a short conversation that lasted for about another minute, Fals finally passed away.

Daron finally made his decision after listening to Fals' while explanation. Since his family would be safe, and most of the knights in training had already escaped using their own methods after seeing Master in such a tough battle, he did not need to worry about them. In fact, just for these people's safety, Zack had created several escape tunnels. Naturally, neither of these were as secure or hidden as the one that Zack's family travelled in, but it would allow them to reach outside the deadly forest surrounding Bard city safely after a few days of travelling.

'They should be fine'

Since he had no need to worry about his family, he would just follow Fals' suggestion and try and catch up with Zack's family members.

But first, he needed to collect all his belongings that were not cash stored in the bank. Just like the Holy church, the Union Bank was also supported by a God, and no one dared to offend them either. While the Holy church was supported by the most powerful 'Godly King', the Union Bank was supported by a Low Tier God. However, Gods were Gods after all, and nothing could affect their sovereignty over all mortals.

That was, except the legendary dragons and high elves.

Therefore, his money would be safe. He went back to his room and collected his Novice Blacksmith Badge, Extra clothes, some tools, food, and other daily necessities. He also took the item that he used to create his incognito account in the Union Bank, it was a piece of wood that Daron had expertly carved into the shape of a smartphone from Earth. Due to its unique nature of existence, such a thing should not exist in this world.

With these items in a bag, Daron quickly returned to the corpse of Fals. According to Fals, Lord Zack and Knight Grey should be able to stall the enemies for at least an hour or two more. He had already spent 20 minutes and time was not on his side, however, he quickly buried Fals' corpse and put a tile he plucked out from the tiled floor of the castle after he had taken the official knight's badge of the Bard family and put it into his pocket as a sing of remembering a fallen soul.

This tile was just simple stone made into a rough square shape to make walking easier. On this stone he engraved;

"Here Lies a Knight Fals, A trusted brother, A grateful son, A determined disciple, A loyal subordinate, and a proud warrior. RIP"

After that, Daron left the castle. Daron knew that most people would go to the church hand have them send the soul of the deceased to god. However, Daron did not have the time, and also, he did not believe in gods. What he believed in was tradition, and throughout his life on earth, he had been burying people; his mother, his father, his uncles and aunts. Everyone had been buried by him.
