2 Weeks Later

"We now have more news, about the attack on Kiseko. A small town in Tokyo Japan. As we know, Cycorps industries were only doing their job, by trying to acquire some towns people life energy, two kids named Koshiro Saiki and Saburo Yuji who live in the town were determined on resisting." The news lady from the small TV said while looking straight at the camera.

"As a result of their resistance, there were many casualties in the town. This is a warning, when asked to grant a member of Cycorps industries your life energy, it is very important that you do so accordingly." The lady finished saying before a man sighed exhaustedly and turned his head away from the TV.

"So, what do you think about those two kids? They spark your interest?" A giant bald headed guy in a casual button down shirt asked the man. (Zeus Hank)

"Not yet..though that one Saburo Yuji guy seems pretty strong, he could be help in the fight.." the guy with black long hair and a scrubby beard responded. (Setsuko Aizawa)

Setsuko grabbed his glass of wine and raised it up to his mouth, taking a drink. "I guess the tournament for students who apply will be able to tell us who'll be the next heros of this country." Setsuko responded before putting his glass down and looking at Zeus.

"Ahh..and where did you come to the conclusion that the Saburo kid will apply?" Zeus questioned, curiously.

Setsuko looked at the table a bit, before looking back up at the TV, which showed video recordings of Saburo fighting the Cyborg. "His eyes..I can tell he seeks power, plus this is the most common school for people who wanna fight against the government to come to. Although that purpose is kept under the radar, and the government has been trying to track it down and put an end to it" Setsuko responded.

"Yeah, luckily we keep our location discreet. We use the tournaments as a way to scout new students and others of course. Most participate in these tournaments that Japan hosts because of our school, which they find out about through pamphlets we leave around..Privacy is a big concern though, and every student that joins should knows there's a risk of damage to themselves and others around them..the truth of the matter is that there's no way to truly know anyone's real intentions for joining..anyone could read the pamphlets that we leave around, which is why it's up to us to use our judgment and accept others, in hope that their aspirations are good hearted." Zeus responded back with a deep stare, as Setsuko looked at him, then back down at the table.

Back Where Koshiro Was

"Seriously..? The news is defending them, even with the casualties that there were..Dang it!" Koshiro yelled out of anger before immediately holding onto his chest from pain, grunting heavily.

"Oh yeah that's right...during the fight with the cyborg I broke a few ribs and my arm..the doctor said it'll take about two months to heal fully, meaning I'll be out of school for that long.." Koshiro thought as he sighed and stared up at the dark ceiling in his dark room. "Guess that means no video games either, or no training for right now for the upcoming tournament." Koshiro said to himself as tears began to creep from his eyes slightly.

"Wouldn't have mattered, knowing how weak willed you are, you would've have been able to train at all!" The deep and raspy voice in his head said.

Koshiro closed his eyes and clenched his teeth tightly. He tried to move his arms up to cover his ears but Unfortunately for his injuries, he wasn't able to do so. He was forced to lay there in his pitch black room and cry as the bad thoughts flooded his head.

The next day during class lunch

"How's Koshiro doing?" Kaori asked with a concerned look on her face as all of the others students began taking their seat and pulling out their food.

"Eh? Why do you care..?" Saburo responded with his head leaned up against his palm, and eyes restfully closed.

"I don't know..I mean he's our classmate, plus I feel kinda bad for him every so often. The other classmates pick on him often and he seems to be isolated from everyone else." Kaori responded while staring deeply at the table, causing Saburo to notice the amount of worry she felt.

"He's okay..he broke a few ribs and his arm, but he's okay." Saburo said while looking off elsewhere.

Kaori smiled gently as she began to eat her food. "You know, I always wondered. Why do you avoid him? You guys used to be close as kids, right?" She asked while looking at him.

Saburo stared off for a bit before standing up and walking towards the door.

"Wait, where are you going?!" Kaori asked while watching him walk away.

"We were never close...and I'm going to the restroom." Saburo responded before walking out of the room.

Kaori raised a eyebrow before chuckling slightly. "What a edge lord."

Time quickly passed, and before everyone knew it, it was the day of the tournament that everyone awaited to either participate in or to watch. Koshiro was given a badge with a number on it, and so were other contestants. There were people of all different age types, who possessed different and unique powers.

"Right this way! Make a solid line when you walk out of the tunnel!" A person in a suit said to all the participants.

Everyone lined up and began walking through the dark tunnel as they were told. "This is it Koshiro..you knew this moment would come, and now...it's finally here." Koshiro said in his head with nervous sweat glands, and a nauseous look on his face as the crowd from the stadium began to roar in enthusiasm, causing it to echo throughout the tunnel.

Koshiro, Saburo, Kaori, and many other participants walked through the tunnel, and they soon arrived inside of the stadium.

They were greeted with a gigantic crowd of all different ages sitting in the bleachers of the large stadium, along with others who seemed to be hosting the tournament.

"We are so glad you all could make it..let's see how strong you are, and if you're ready to work for Cycorps industries!!" A blonde woman in a skirt, crop top, and thigh highs said with a big vibrant smile, causing the crowed to get even louder.

Koshiro scanned the gigantic crowd and for him, he felt so small compared to everyone else. He started to hyperventilate a bit as the pressure began consuming his mind, when suddenly all the thoughts came rushing to his head. His school life, his isolation since A small child, and all that he had to deal with up til this moment. He quickly tried to regain his composure though he was more nervous than he's ever been. "Breathe. Breathe. Breathe" Koshiro thought as he closed his eyes and took a slow, deep breath. When he did, the stadium seemed to get quieter and it was him alone with his own mind. It was dark. "....okay.." he said to himself as he slowly began opening his eyes back up, causing the crowed to grow back loud. He then suddenly opened them  with a forced confident smile on his face. "Let's do this!"
