Chapter 5 One's Despair
"What is it?" I rushed, looking at what she saw. There in the middle of the floor of the entrance was a dead body. At first glance of the body, it was clear that it was one of the students that went to school here. I looked down at Emma who was still crying from the sight of the body. "Do you know her Emma?" I asked her. "Y-y-yes I kn-kn-know her," she sobbed. "What's her name?" I asked. "She's one of my friends, her name is Rose Yanagai," she shivered. "Father, Hashimoto, I need both of you here now," I messaged. "On our way," they responded.
"Murderer, I will kill, I will kill, murderer," Emma mumbled. This isn't good, someone is dead, there is an immense power nearby, and the princess is on her way, I wonder if this is somehow connected to the power. "What's the problem son," Lucifer asked. "Take a look for yourself," I stated, pointing at the open door. "Okay, this isn't even funny, you'd have to be somebody stupid to kill someone of her rank," Lucifer yelled. "Keep it down dad, there are other students that have rooms around here. I shouldn't have to explain to you what would happen if they heard about this," I explained. "Sorry," he responded. I had my command unit take care of the body and any evidence that might be present. After they were finished, we all layed down to relax.
Crowned princess of Senrican
"Ma'am, we have arrived at Rockaridge Academy," my assistant informed me. "Right, can you see if you can find Emmalyn Kakaradi the SCP, and Jaden Kakaradi the Principal?" I asked. "I will see what I can do milady," he replied. I walked around the campus of the building to see what kind of scenery there was. "This is truly a beautiful sight," I spoke to myself. I found myself staring at a massive cherry blossom tree in bloom. "Milady, I found Jaden, I need you to follow me," my assistant stated. "Alright," I replied, following him.
"So, you must be the princess that I've heard so much about," I greeted. "I'm flattered that you know so much about me Jaden," she responded. "If I may ask, what is your name princess, and what has brought you here?" I asked. "My name is Suzuke Yune, the crowned princess of Senrican. I have come here for some much needed relaxation. With my everyday duties, I find myself constantly stressed out. I wish to enroll here as a second year student. The only catch is, I don't want anyone to know that I am the princess," she explained. "Yes, I understand, will you need any security guards or do you already have that taken care of?" I asked. "I only have an assistant of mine with me, I will definitely need to have more security than just one person," she replied. "Lucifer, order one tenth of the I.E.F. soldiers stationed here to keep constant guard of the princess," I messaged.
I walked her down to her third block teacher. Thankfully, it was father, so I can rest easy that he will make sure that she stays safe. "Lucifer, this is Ms. Suzuke Yune, I trust you remember our little discussion about her safety plan," I hinted. "Yes, I have a better memory than you might think, Ms. Yune, why don't you introduce yourself to those who may not know you" he responded. "My name is Suzuke Yune, I am a second year on the student council, I hope that we get along well," she blushed. "That was a bit short, but it was effective," I said. The class clapped and she took her seat beside the door. "Make sure that you keep a close eye on her, make sure that no one tries to start a fight with her. It will be a problem if she gets mad because she has the power of the dimensional rift," I messaged. "It's likely that everything will turn out fine," Hashimoto intercepted.
Class continued on normally without a problem until ten minutes before the bell for dismissal. The windows started shaking and the books started falling off of the shelves in the far back corner of the classroom. "Am I the only one who feels a bit dizzy right now or does someone else?" Suzuke asked. The class was silent and no one was moving except for those who had the ability to move freely. "Silence," a deep voice yelled. After hearing that, we were teleported to another area. "So this was your doing Odin, I should have known that you would pull something like this on us," Lucifer scorned. "Nonsense, I only used the situation to my advantage and teleported you all here before it got out of hand," he claimed.
"Besides the fact that you teleported us here, I have something to tell you about," Lucifer said. "Go ahead, I give you permission to show me," Odin replied. "First of all, you don't decide what I say or show to you, so don't do that again. Second of all, she was found dead three days ago. Somebody was dumb enough to kill her and then put her on our apartment floor," Lucifer said. "Are you serious!!" Suzuke and Odin raged at the same time. "Okay, I get why Odin would be mad that she's dead, but I don't understand why you would be," Lucifer questioned. "She is my little sister you idiot! The last time I saw her was 3 years ago before father decided that she was a burden to the kingdom," Suzuke explained. "Let's get back to the matter at hand shall we," Odin redirected.
"Yes I know, angels are slowly being killed off by someone," Lucifer groaned. "If you'll excuse me, my sister and I need to get going," I interrupted. When I said that, both Lucifer and Odin looked at me. "Is there a problem?" I asked. "Do you want to tell him, or do you want me to Lucifer?" Odin asked. "Uhh, I'm not sure if I want to tell him," Lucifer hesitated. Right now, I'm so confused that I would like to hit myself in the head with a pan and hope that it will tell me what I need to know. "One of us absolutely needs to tell him, and now!" Odin said in a stern voice. "Lucifer, what is Odin talking about?" Hashimoto asked. Lucifer put his hand to the side of his head and kept it there for about 2 minutes then lowered it. Hashimoto's face was pale and had an expression of concern.
"You need to tell him Sir, he needs to know, this is important," Hashimoto insisted. "I'll tell you later okay son," Lucifer said. "Fine by me, I don't really care what time you tell me," I replied before teleporting us back to Earth. "Is Jaden in danger?" Suzuke asked in a concerned voice. "As you have probably already known or found out about, he is my son. I am Lucifer or as you humans theorized, I am 'the devil'." Lucifer replied. "So it is true! I recognized your aura from somewhere," she remembered. "To put it short, his powers are far greater than we have ever experienced," Odin said. "What does that mean?" she asked. "I am worried that the power could potentially be too much for him to control, and it could either take control of his body, or it could devour him completely, leaving no remains of him," Lucifer stated. "Hold up just a second, the Odin, is telling me that Jaden's power is greater than anything that he has ever seen. Does that mean that Jaden is strong enough to hold the title of something that surpasses the creator of the universe?" she pondered.
"Yes, it does mean that it is likely going to be his new title before long," Odin responded. "Looks like I might be surpassed soon," Hashimoto declared. "Don't tell Jaden yourself, let his father tell him this, I think it would be better that way because he might go into rampage mode," Odin sighed. "I understand," she responded, teleporting back to Earth.
Back on Earth, Rockaridge Orphanage
"Brother, brother please wake up," Emma begged. "What happened?" Suzuke asked. "We were somehow teleported to this place instead of the school. This building has a negative impact on big brother's mind," Emma sighed.
Memories of Jaden Kakaradi
"Hah. What did I tell you guys? He really is a weakling," Derek laughed, punching me. "You have earned the title of a misfit," a kid claimed. "I think you might have broken him," another kid teased. "Talk you dumb toy!!" Derek yelled, slapping me,"it's not fun to break what is already broken." I slowly lifted my head and gave the kids the stare that I give when I get angry. "Aw, little toy wants to play some more," Derek laughed louder. "I absolutely despise people like you. The ones that think that everything is just a game. The ones that think that you can just restart if you don't like how things are turning out," I stuttered. "Shut your mouth," Derek yelled, kneeing me in the jaw. Blood began to drip from my mouth as I began to feel the desire to feast. I licked my lips by instinct, slightly startling the kids. "Scary," a kid teased. "You think that you can scare me by making faces, you have badly mistaken," Derek laughed with a slight expression of fear.
I sat there debating whether or not to kill them, or let them live. If I were to kill them, would it do me any good in the future? No, it would just cause more problems against the humans, uhh I don't know what to do. "Hey, are you still with me? Come on, you're safe now," I heard a voice say as I came back to realization. "Who are you, where are the other children at?" I asked. "They're being punished as we speak, I am a doctor who found you while I was doing my daily exercise," she responded. "What kind of punishment?" I asked. "Don't worry about it, just know that they are getting what they deserve," she responded, bandaging my wounds.
"Thank you for treating my scratches," I said. "It's no problem, I like doing things that will make people happier," she grinned. "How long was I out for?" I asked. "Quite some time before I found you," she replied. "Oh, I see," I sighed. "So, is she someone that you care about or something?" she asked, pointing to a little girl with her hands pressed up against the glass pane. "Yes, her parents sold her off for money because they were broke. When she was brought here she was afraid for her life so I decided to look after her. Now, everywhere I go, she goes too," I explained. "I see, you are a kind person," she stated.
Current timeline
"You said that he just collapsed after seeing the building?" Lucifer asked. "Right, we teleported here instead of the school for some reason," Emma said. "Out of curiosity, what might have happened to him in there besides the bullying that would make him scared or depressed?" Lucifer asked. "I don't really know what all he went through. He only told me that he was bullied, so if there was another incident, it had to have been traumatic to him," Emma responded.
Jaden kept turning to opposite sides. "Dad, dad, look at Jaden," Emma exclaimed, pointing at him. Lucifer turned to face the direction of Jaden, and froze in shock. "Odin, get your ass down here now, a situation has arisen," Lucifer yelled. "What is it now? I have a busy schedule you know," he groaned. "That is what we are dealing with now," Lucifer quickly replied, pointing at Jaden. His wings were now starting to show themselves, but instead of either angel or devil wings, they were oddly shaped. "I have never seen wings like these before, I fear that this might be a desperate situation that we are in at the moment," Odin shrieked.
"What shape are they?" Hashimoto asked. "The shape is literally unknown to anyone at the moment, I have never experienced this situation before," Lucifer said. "I'm on my way now, I have seen more than you two have seen," Hashimoto replied, teleporting in front of them. "Holy shit...I am confused right now. I have seen everything, more than you have seen, and I have never seen these type before," Hashimoto freaked.
"That is exactly what we have been trying to tell you for the past 5 minutes now. Are you in another realm right now? You certainly are not in this realm at the moment," Odin stated. They stood and stared at Jaden whose wings were still slowly growing. Not even the god who created the existence could even begin to comprehend what was going on in front of his face. "What do we do now? We don't know what we are dealing with here so we can't fix it. "Well, we need to do something about the problem at hand, this can quickly turn ugly on us here soon," Hashimoto stated. "Why are you stating the obvious again Fuji?" Lucifer asked. "I just feel like doing it. I am bored and confused at the same time, do I have to have a reason to speak a word?" he questioned. "When you put it that way, no you don't, but you don't have to state a fact that all of us already know," Odin sighed.
"Maybe we might want to get big brother out of the open where the public can see him, before we end up having to deal with the police," Emma suggested. "Good point sweetie, I actually didn't think about that until now," Lucifer replied. "Where do we take a life form that we do not know what it is capable of?" asked Odin. "Why don't we take him to that old group's headquarters, that building was built to literally withstand anything that was thrown it's way," Hashimoto pointed out. "That's a good idea, Odin, we are currently headed to the city," Lucifer declared. "If you think that it is the best solution then I'll keep my mouth shut for now," Odin said.
Once they teleported there, they were greeted by the remaining members of the group. "Is CSM Jason here at the moment?" Lucifer asked. "Yes, give me a moment and I will notify him that he has visitors," a person assured. Jaden was carefully placed on a nearby bed in a containment room for extra safety while Hashimoto watched the camera. "Hey there boss!!" Jason cheered, greeting Lucifer with a large hug. "Hey there, I wish that I had more time to talk and catch up on the times, but we have a major issue," Lucifer stated. "It must be major considering that Odin himself is down here right now," Jason responded. "No, I just simply used a duck call to summon him here," Lucifer joked.
"This is what state Jaden is in right now," Lucifer pointed. "Dear god, what is that and what happened to him. On top of that, what is he?" Jason asked. "Just so that you know, the next time you try to pray to me, don't do it in front of me," Odin twitched. "Yes sir," Jason replied. "Do you have any idea of what we need to do Jason?" Lucifer asked. Jason walked into the area where Jaden was at and tried to talk to him. "Remember me Jaden, it is me, Jason, can you tell me what you have turned into?" Jason asked. Unconsciously, he rolled over, looked at Jason with piercing red eyes, and growled.
"Oh hell no, I'm out," Jason screamed, running out the door. "I'm not really sure, but I think that you might have made him mad somehow," Lucifer chuckled. "Why are you laughing? It's not funny, your son is turning into something that we do not know of," Jason said, panting.
Jaden's Memories
"Please, I didn't hear or see anything," I pleaded. "I don't believe you, to prevent any future complications I will dispose of you right now," Derek said, grabbing a knife. "You don't have to do this, you will regret this sooner than later if you do it," I insisted. "That's not convincing enough," he replied, continuing. As he was about to stab my chest, she jumped in front of me, causing her to be stabbed instead. "Why would you do that, this didn't involve you," I asked. "But it did. I am the one who told you that I wanted to visit this place," she replied, staring at the blood on her hands. "Even though you asked, it was me who was found, not you, you should have left me and escaped," I replied, fighting to hold back my tears. "This is for the best," she said, falling to her knees.
I quickly bent down and wrapped my arms around her shoulders. "Are you that desperate to die?" I asked. "Stop! This ends now," Derek yelled, pulling out the knife. She spit blood on the floor and held me tighter. "I-I-I love you Jaden, pr-pr-promise me that you will not get depressed over me, find someone who you love," she said with her last breath. "No, no, Anna, please don't leave me," I begged, with tears rolling down my face. It was pointless though, she was already gone. "Good enough," Derek said, about to walk out a door. "You killed her, you killed her. She was the only one that was ever nice to me. So, I'm going to kill you, I hope you're ready," I managed to say, before turning into another creature. I walked towards him and clawed his neck to pieces, but couldn't control myself after that. When I woke up, I was lying on my back on the warm pavement. I stood up and tried to gain my balance but I couldn't seem to stop from shaking. I fell back down to the pavement, scraping my knees in the process.
"Everytime I get mad I black out for some reason, I wonder why that is," I muttered under my breath. "Sulking will get you nowhere brother, if you really don't know what happened, I'll show you," Emma offered, staring into my eyes. I lay there as she showed me what happened after I had blacked out, I was horrified. "I don't believe it!! What creature is that, and why did I turn into it?" I asked. "Don't ask me, I'm not a super genius like you are," she replied, offering her arm. "Thank you," I said, accepting the assistance. My legs still didn't want to be walked on so I had no choice but to go into stealth mode. "Can you tell me what happened before I blacked out? I can't seem to remember," I paused,"Wait!!Where's Anna?" Emma hesitated for a moment and then said,"she's dead." The world grew silent to me upon hearing those words. "Stop joking Emma, you know that's not funny," I stuttered.
"I'm not joking big brother, she stopped Derek from stabbing you. However, she stepped in front of you causing her to get stabbed instead. After seeing this, you couldn't control your anger and ended up killing him and severely damaging the orphanage," she frowned. It was all coming back to me now. He thought that I heard information about his gang related side job. She also told me something before she died, but I can't seem to remember what she said. I was deep in thought when I felt a tap on my back. "Big brother! Big brother! You're going to crash into the sign, move!!" Emma yelled, half frightened. "Huh? Oh shit!!" I responded, quickly raising up.
"Sorry about that little sis. Are you okay?" I asked. "As far as I can tell, I am still in one piece, though I wasn't sure that would be the case," she sighed. I laughed, continuing to fly for 10 minutes, then landed. "Emmalyn, I was so worried about you dear. You just ran off without a warning, promise not to do that again, okay," mom said. "Depending on the situation, I promise that I won't, but I can't guarantee that I won't," she said. "Fair enough. So, who is this that you brought with you?" she asked. "Big brother!! I finally found him," she cheered. "Are you sure that this is your brother?" she questioned. "Ma'am, I am Jaden Kakaradi, and my little sister here is Emmalyn Kakaradi," I stated. "How do I know that you really are her brother?" she continued to question. "If you have to, get a DNA test to verify my claim. Believe me, I haven't lied since I was born," I assured. "Since you insist, honey, get dressed we are headed to the hospital," she yelled.
When we got there they took blood samples and documented our fingerprints. "Doctor, this DNA is unlike any other that I have ever seen before," a nurse claimed. "Though I might not be able to analyze the blood, it is definitely safe to say that they are in fact siblings," the Doctor in charge verified. "Told you so! Big brother and I have a connection to each other, so I can find him wherever he goes," Emma said. "I guess that he really is the brother that you are always talking about," mom admitted.
Mom and dad rode in the car the way back home, while Emma and I walked. Even though we were walking, we arrived at the house ten minutes before they did. "Man, you two sure are fast together," Dad joked. I turned and looked at the sky as the sun was setting. "This is going to be an interesting life," I muttered under my breath.
