As Vincent thinks of what to do he hears a man shouting outside. Remembering the bodies of the former guards outside Vincent rushes out of the room and downstairs to the door. There he sees a group of bandits have discovered them. They were most likely on their way to one of the attack sites before now.
One of them spots him and runs in the convent to him. Dodging a right swing from his attacker by spinning down he draws his sword simultaneously and as he comes back around slices the guy's legs. He follows by cutting his head off with an upward diagonal swing.
Before anyone else could enter Vincent quickly charges to the door. At the last minute he forward rolls, dodging a couple initial hits only to come out of his roll and stabbing someone in the stomach. He quickly flows into a turn slicing open another's chest. He blocks a side swipe from another attack pushing the opposing sword away and cutting the welder's head with a diagonal swipe.
Vincent finds himself surrounded even though the bandits are now realizing he won't be so easy to take down. Vincent stands with his sword in both hands. One of the bandits send out a signal in the form of a high pitched whistle. Vincent narrows his eyes. He has no doubt they are calling for reinforcements.
At that moment a sound from the convent gets Vincent's attention. He looks to see Mother Margaret and others standing at the entrance. The sound he heard is a gasp from Selena. Much like the others a horrified expression covers her face. Despite her attempt to cover her mouth the bandits had still heard her they look in her and the others direction. When one of them tries to go for one of the people at the entrance Vincent reacts as quick as lighting. Taking one of the swords of the dead bandits he spear throws it into the back of the brute. Resulting in the blade part of the sword going through his body.
"Close the door and barricade it!", Vincent shouts at them. Without a word Mother Margaret and the others do as he says. A few of them shout words of caution to Vincent. As they do so the bandits' reinforcements arrive. Vincent grits his teeth. He is starting to get tired and to panting by now. Running around the convent didn't help either.
Just as Vincent takes a deep breath and tightens his grip ready to start back fighting another sound reaches his ear.
"This way, quickly!'
He looks around to see Sir Riel and a few of the other men from the town. Surprise flashes on Vincent's face. They had gotten their own weapons and seem ready to join in the driving out of their captors.
"Vincent! Don't think you have to face these fools alone!", Sir Riel shouts. The other men raise their voices in agreement. His remarks causes a smile to form on his face. One thing about the people of Gordowe they tolerate troublemakers only for so long. At that moment the sounding of an arrow is launching reaches Vincent's ear. He turns around to where the sound came from. As he does he bashes it away with his gauntlet. At the same time the men of Gordowe charge in with Vincent to lead them.
