Shaquan

We hurried out of the company and straight to where my car was parked.

" Get in " I ordered.

" How can I let you drive when I'm here?" She was reluctant and tried snatching the key from me.

" Did you see that?" I pointed to the CCTV directed towards us as she quickly entered the car without hesitating.

I wasn't sure of what we're going to do but I'm sure I'll get the evidence.

Someone called in while I was driving and I told her to pick it up which she didn't because it wasn't a saved number.

"Hello, this is…"

"I know you're Shaquan and I know what you're looking for," the thin voice said boldly.

"Okay, where can we meet ?"I ask not even scared a bit.

"Chandes underground…only you by 6:00" I could hear her giggle like she won a bait.

" Why did you acted so reckless ?" She was fuming with anger. So I decided not to infuriate her by going further.

" Where are we heading to now " She stretched her back.

" To Mono!" I exclaimed making her gasp in shock.

" Mono! To do what? " Her questions were becoming too much to handle.

" I'm meeting my friends, all of them?" I smiled sultrily.

" As if!" She rasped till we got there.

" Aren't you going?" I asked, alighting from the car whilst putting on my face cap.

" To get ridiculed by them, you know Shaquan, I hate it when you help me because I can't help myself so just go. I'll come in to check you" She sounded feeble and I was wondering if that's how she thinks of what I'm doing for her.

It was a sunny day and was sent, I was sent on an errand to get an ice pack...

" Hey, miss!" I turned to the attention of the person that just called me.

" Good afternoon" I bowed since the person looks older.

" There's a big luck around you" My head spun at his words

" Big luck! I'll be glad to have it anytime soon" I smile sheepishly cos I thought he was a scam.

" You think I'm a scam ?" My eye widens at how he knew what I was thinking.

" Believe me you're getting pregnant soon" He blurted out rudely.

" What nonsense are you telling me?" I turned to leave but he grabbed my hand.

" 5star hotel, Texas Roadhouse…a red wine .a dark room ..a gorgeous man ..a rough night and happy move on then you'll discover the luck"

I bent my head finding it hard to believe what he just said, of course, it was too crazy to be believed.

Joshua isn't that rich to take me to a 5star hotel at that Texas and I'm not ready to give out my virginity so why would he say I'll get pregnant.

And how is getting pregnant a stroke of luck, if I get pregnant at the age of 21, that's a big shame to my entire life.

I have to ask this man more about this, I swirl to search for the man but he has vanished into thin air.

"Where could he be ?" I hold my waist looking around the whole place when I heard someone knocking.

" You're sleeping on the street ?" It was Shaquan.

" It's inside a car" I replied perfunctorily not sure of what just happened.

I prayed in my heart as I knew that was a dream, a dream that mustn't happen to be precise.

"Guess who I saw in there ?" I got down from the car after calming myself down.

" Who?" I ask curiously.

" Joshua" He replied bluntly.

" What's he doing here ?" I'm now starting to feel uncomfortable.

" You'll see for yourself, why do you have much sweat" He brought his hands to wipe my forehead as we walked to his private place in Mono.

" Lia" I was frightened when Joshua called my name right when Shaquan was wiping my face.

" Oh Joshua" He's truly here, I moved from Shaquan and wink to him to go on.

" What are you doing here?" Instead of him getting angry, he was shaky and felt suspicious.

" This is where Shaquan and his Idol friends meet" I replied trying not to look outspoken when a girl came behind him.

" I'm done let's go!" The girl turned to him but he couldn't say a word.

" Is there something I don't know ?" I ask trying to keep a smile on my edge lips.

" We came here for a consultant, she's the daughter of my boss, the company I'll be working at soon" He even told me what I haven't heard before.

" Company, Work, When? How ?" Everything was just leaving my mouth without a stop.

" This place is too crowdy, let's go and I'll explain to you" He tried holding my shoulder but I shrug him off.

" You're here for something, so I am, call me when you are available or even so come to my house to explain yourself" I hissed and walked out on them.

Now I believe the man's prophecy in my dream was a scam, How could I get pregnant for someone like this?

" Hey Lia" His closest friends Maureen greeted but Ignored him Firstly he was a flirt, Secondly he doesn't respect me as Quan's manager.

" Don't take any Alcohol" I wasn't warning only Shaquan but all of them cos we don't know who has a hidden camera here.

" Yes ma'am" The diligent one's chorused.

Shaquan maybe popular but he doesn't care about what he does with his life except for dating…the only thing he can't do in his life as long as he's still a Singer.

" Has it been a long time you kissed, your lips are so dry" Ava a popular singer, walked closer to the gentle sitting Shaquan.

" Yes, should I just kiss you" My heart raced on hearing that and before I knew it, He pulled her into his body as they began to kiss romantically?

She was the only girl here except for me and I'm the only one left to be jealous.

I couldn't stand seeing them kiss again as I dash out of the room angrily.

" Why is he making it hard on Me" I glare at the mirror, wiping the tears that are about falling.

No Lia! I should be asking, why am I making it hard on myself.

I have a boyfriend, yet I still can't stop watching him getting attached to any other girls even though they're not dating.

" Isn't that Lia? Shaquan's Manager"

"Shaquan is here too" Another squealed as they tried running towards me, I quickly ran into the toilet stall and dialed his number.

I'm dialing his number for the fifth time yet he's not picking up, I tried calling Ava and she picked up immediately.

"Hi, this is Lia"

"I know, we're out of here already, Meet him at Chandes Underground, she ended the call which means they're still together, definitely making out.

This Ava girl has no shame, I stamp my hand angrily on the wall.

Why does he have to go there alone?

"I'm here," I said on the phone to the girl from earlier.

" Hope you are alone ?" Her voice sounded frail and nervous.

"I don't lie" I tried making a joke but she didn't even smile as I walked down the underground.

I entered the place she described and met her sitting there like a boss, covered in a nose mask so I could barely see her face.

"Take him down" She ordered as two men jumped out of nowhere.

" I thought we were going to settle this amicably" I sounded unsure.

"Amicably... it's giving and take idiot" The huge guy tried slapping me.

"Touch me and stake your family's life and rot in jail or take two steps backward and get saved" I didn't know my threats would work.

" Where's the unedited video," I ask the girl.

" Here" She threw it at me but it was far from me.

" Give us money, then we'll tell you who sent us and give you the video" She suggested as I nod my head.

I kept quiet not that I didn't know what to say but that they didn't know they are doomed.

" 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1" I counted in my mind.

" What's going on?" The girl began to shiver on hearing the sound from the police.

" Hands up everyone" The Police officers surrounded the whole place.

" You.….. You tricked me!!" She cried out as she was being handcuffed.

"I'm not popular for being dumb …I am because I use my brain and not my mind," I said to her and she burst into tears.
