"Oh no, you dont... you're definitely not going anywhere!" Aviva hissed as she drag me out of my room.
"Let go of me!" I frowned, trying really hard to loosen her grip on my elbow.
"Why didn't you attend school yesterday? I already told you not to ditch class right? Still, you didn't obey!" she angrily lectured me whilst still dragging me with her in to the garage.
"Hey! Aviva!" I beamed when she pushed me inside our car and threw my bag at me. Dang it. I still don't feel like studying today!
"I'll buy you anything you want, just let me go-" I pleaded but stopped midway when she threw daggers at me. She is stubborn as I am seeing how she just ignored my condition. Seems like I don't have any other choice but to go to school.
When we reached Sorbonne University, she once again grasp my elbow as she dragged me along.
"Behave, alright? I'm gonna fetch you up later." Those were the last words she told me when she hastily pushed me inside my classroom and walked briskly to her classroom since we took different courses.
I shook my head in defeat and immediately walked towards my assigned seat quietly. I didn't bother smiling to any of my classmates since I'm not close with them. I still didn't have any friends given that I'm new here, but they all seemed friendly and nice. I'm just to embarrass to greet them first because I'm not that type of person.
I looked at the window, the sun is shining brightly. The rays caresses my face as I watch the birds flying freely around the tree. Feeling how warm it is I laid my head on top of my hand and closed my eyes.
A couple of minutes later, our professor walked inside our classroom with a wide smile. We stood up, showing our respect and greeted her politely. She just nodded in response.
"I have an important announcement. A few weeks ago, Leona Summer..." she took a glimpse of me and smile a little. "Transferred into our school after moving here. And today, we have another transferee." She announced as she enlivened the atmosphere. Now, all of us were curious about this mysterious transferee.
"Please come in." Ms. Beaumont instructed the transferee to enter our classroom and to my surprise, my lips parted and my eyes bulged.
"Good morning, everyone. I'm Alas Hutton, the transferee. Hope to get along with all of you." He roamed his eyes while he introduced himself wearing a small smile, and when he noticed me... he was stunned. Perhaps, he's also astounded as I was.
"Omg! He's kind of hot." One of my classmates complimented his look.
"Look how dashing he is! I want to be his girlfriend soon! Another girl commented.
"And charming!" The other lass, shrieked. Not minding that the one she's referring to is just in front of us.
I frowned, seeing how my classmates admired and drool over him. Aren't they ashamed? They're too obvious!
"Well, you can sit beside Ms. Riego." Ms. Beaumont instructed him, and he immediately obeyed.
For Pete's sake! There are many vacant seats yet he'll be sitting beside me! Why is this even happening. I told myself I won't have any connections with my RPW acquaintances and friends but this thing's happening! He already knew my name.
I looked away when he walked towards the seat beside me. I thought he'll be greeting me but thankfully, he didn't.
What a relief...
Time flies fast. I did not noticed that our class already ended. I can't even focus on what our professors are explaining since I'm too occupied and anxious. I want to ditch class again, but Aviva will really tell dad everything this time. I thought she's the kind of sister that I can keep secrets with...
I-I just thought she is.
I breathed heavily. Just thinking about everything makes me feel empty and drained.
Seems like I really didn't know Aviva and dad at all- and even my own self, after losing all of my memories. Everyday, I always ask myself... can I ever manage to regain all of my memories back?
Or if I can even remember everything in the near future.
"So you're Summer?" A baritone voice— Hint, to be exact suddenly popped out of nowhere. And I realized that it's too late to runaway because he's already leaning on the wall next to me.
"Uh, hi?" I greeted him uncomfortably, hastily grabbing my things and getting ready to leave.
"What a small world it is." He chuckled, his hand were on his pocket while the other one's on the strap of his bag. He looks cool though.
But honestly, not my type.
"Can I walk with you?" He asked while he's eyeing me intently, lips curved into a playful grin.
Am I going to be rude if I tell him he can't?
"Yes, sure." I answered hesitantly because he's leaving me no choice but to agree. I don't want him to think that I'm too anxious just because we are now classmates, which is the truth.
"You're also a transferee?" He blurted out while he gaze on the road. I wonder when he's leaving? Or when will he bid goodbye?
"Yes, because of my father since he got promoted and he's given a big project here in Paris." I explained shortly, not letting him know about my amnesia and whatsoever.
"I see..."
"How about you?" I asked, this time my eyes were fixed on him, slightly curious about his sudden transfer.
"I don't know how will I even explain this but to make it short, I'm seeking for justice." He answered plainly but there's something that caught my attention.
Seeing that sad look in his eyes bothers me and make me wonder about what he just said.
Why will he seek justice? What happened? What's the connection of his transfer to what he's seeking for.
He once again chuckled. My brows furrowed because of his sudden change of mood.
"Seeing that puzzled look on your face tells me that you're that curious about my life."
"I'm not! It just, makes me wonder somehow." I denied but he didn't believe me.
"My father was killed in a bus accident-" I suddenly froze, hearing what he just said.
I did not even heard what he said next when I felt a seething pain on my head and hear weird noises and sounds. Unfamiliar images flashing in my mind and I can't help but to cry in pain until everything went black.
