Chapter 4

~Engagement Party?~

Okay. First, I am shocked and surprised for that I heard earlier. Second, I didn't know that this effing engagement party is already settled and occuring tomorrow. Third, I don't know what it is. Maybe the Wedding?

Arrgghh.. Only if Cass is here. She can calm me down right now.

They're escorting us to the Dining Hall. The King and Queen are talking to each otger, so as Father and Grandfather. And me? Here, with the Crown Prince. I don't have the courage to ask him if he's in the Palace last night. I will talk to him Privately.

"What's bothering you Miss Silverio?" The Crown Prince asked me while walking with him.

I immediately shook my head as answer. "It's nothing, Your Royal Highness. It's just.. some matters about me."

"What is it?"

"May I talk to you? In private?"

The Crown Prince just stared at me. "Sure. This way."

I go with him and we stopped at the Palace Garden.

"So what is it?"

"Have you entered my room last night? Don't lie, Your Royal Highness. I heard your voice."

"Yes. I'm in there. But without permission of your father."

"Why?" I want to ask him why he did entered My room. "It's MY room. It matters to me why you enter my room without permission?"

The Crown Prince lost all emotion on his eyes. It became cold and his gaze is freezing. Again, it sent down my spine. I want to ask him but Father, entered the Garden.

"Let's go? We have some meeting to do."

"Yes father." I took a deep breath, again.

I walked after my father. The Crown Prince followed after.

"OKAY, the wedding is in next three months, in the sixteenth day of August. The engagement party is the day after tomorrow, as Richard II said. You two can know each other today and tomorrow. So get ready. Okay?"

"Yes, Your Majesty." We all answered.

The Crown Prince toured me around the Palace. He always talk about how it was designed and how it was built. We even go to the place where the Kings and Queens of Queensland is placed.

"Next three months, our picture as crowned prince and princess will placed here."

I gaped in shock. I mean, Our picture?

I twitched my forehead and placed my hands on my waist. "You know already my name, but I don't know what is yours, Your Royal Highness."

The Crown Prince laughed and cleared his throat. "I am Nathaniel Theodore Harrison. The Crown Prince of Queensland."

I raised my left brow and shook my head.

"What's yours? All I know is Hanna Silverio."

"I am Hanna Victoria Elyse Madeline Cart-Silverio. Your future wife." I really made a disgusted sound when I say the future wife.

The prince just laughed. "Nice meeting you, future wife. Just call me Nate."

"Nice meeting you too, Prince Nate. Just call me Hanna."

He smirked and invited me to the third floor. He showed me all of the rooms the king and queen is using, and his room.

"Let's go inside my room?" Prince Nate invited me.

"Thank you Prince Nate, but I raised as a woman full of dignity and respect to others."

"Oh, okay. I'm just testing you. You are really a dignified and a brilliant woman."

"Thank you Prince Nate."

He just hummed in a couple of minutes until he spoke again.

"Would you mind if I ask you to go out with me tomorrow?"

I keep quiet for many seconds and then I stared at him.

"Of course, Prince Nate. I will."

He looks like he calmed down. "Thank you."

"Youre welcome Prince Nate. So where are we going tomorrow?" I asked with full curiousity.

"You want to go to Mall? You know, uhm.. Buy things you want?"

"You know, Prince Nate. I already have everything. I am contented with my life."

"So what do you want?"

"Maybe going to the park? Or eat on a restaurant? Or going amusement park? Like Enchanted Kingdom in the Philippines?"

He gaped at me. "Really? That's for kids." He commented.

"It maybe just for kids but that's what I want. I thought I am the one will choose where to go?" I asked with innocence.

He just groaned and didn't say nothing. "Okay. Let's go to the Restaurant tomorrow. Then Next week, We'll go to the Philippines."

I fisted my hands both to the air. I shouted. "Yes! Thank you Your Royal Highness!"

He just laughed. I gave him a bad look.

"I'm just happy." He offended.

"Happy for what?" I asked.

"That I met you." He answered.

"Are you kidding me?"

'I really want you to go there. Like ordinary people do everytime they have day-off or free times.'

"Nope. I'm not kidding you. I'm serious as Hell."

"Okay."

NIGHT came. We are still in the Grand Palace. We already ate dinner and maids are doing the dishes. Prince Nate and me, is in the Garden. Father, Grandfather, The King and Queen is in the Library.

"Are you happy?" Prince Nate, asked me while we were sitting at the sofa in the Gazebo. I hear the waters splashing on the fountain and the peacefulness of the man-made river.

"Yes. I feel peaceful and elated."

We laughed and telled lame jokes to each other from after lunch until we are already tired laughing so hard. It's fun.

Maybe he is my Prince Charming. It's impossible for him to have Girlfriends.

That made my head ask him. "Do you have girlfriends before?"

He laughed at me. "No, I am not a jerk. I actually have no girlfriends."

"Really?" I asked with a disgusting voice.

He just laughed and spoke. "Yes."

Well, that's make sense. I don't want a scandalous scene that my future husband has a lover or attatch something in our marriage.

"I have a question." Prince Nate said.

"What is it?" sleepiness is in my voice.

"Have you fell in love?"

I gave him a exhausted look. "Nothing. Father has always a big Gates for men." I chuckled a little.

"Well, that's good."

I snorted. "Yeah, yeah. That's very very good."

"No, I solemnly asked that." His voice is serious so I faced him.

He really serious as it is. I placed my head at his shoulder. I am sleepy already. I closed my eyes as dreamland visits me.

NATHANIEL

I STARED at her beautiful face. Her gray eyes , her light brown hair, her face, untouched by many surgeons. And her lips, so inviting.

I carried her in bridal style and walked into the library. The four people gaped in shock. Mother is surprised. Of course she is.

"What happened to her?" Grand Duke asked.

"Your Grace, your Grand daughter just aslept because of exhaustion from laughing the whole afternoon." I explained.

Mr. Richard, the Descendant of the Grand Duke, took a deep breath and took his daughter from me. I bowed and left the room.

I heard the Grand Duke bid goodbye to Mother and Father. I left and walked back to the garden.

All my life, I just focused on my studies and waited for her return. I really want her so bad. If she didn't come to the Silverio's Palace, I might have continued the race for the position she will have; The position of being a Crown Princess.

Yes, that unknown emotion woke me up again, as I sneaked into her room when I visited their palace. Their home.

Father always taught me that if you are a Royalty or a Noble, no amount of love is considered in terms of marriage. You have to marry for power and for you to stay alive. But he said 'you are lucky if the woman you love is the one you'll marrying someday.

She didn't remember me, because of that incident twelve years ago. Her parents moved into a small farm, for her to be safe. I always ask Father if when will they comeback here at the Royal Palace, but Father said he doesn't know.

I remembered when I just go to the Silverio Palace just to look for her. Many guards are stopping me. Grand Duke just hug me and calm me down.

She's my real friend since childhood. I touch the traces of our memories at the Garden as we play everyday. As we play like there's no tomorrow. That our love is true.

This garden is my haven. Everytime I have problems and stressed from studies, I come here and take a deep breath.

"You may not remember me, as long as your heart remembers me. I'm okay. I will win again your heart. It's mine. And mine alone."

"That's very possessive of you my son." Father, said while walking closer to me.

"Father, I didn't see you coming." I bowed to him as a sign of respect. Even he is my own father, I have to respect him because he is the King.

"The Silverios already left the Palace. They want to bid goodbye to you but you left already after you carry your girl in a bridal style."

I just tsked. Father snorted.

"You love her, right?"

I remained silent a couple of minutes before I spoke. "I really love her so bad."

"Do you really love her?"

Father is excellent in these mind games. He wants to give an idea.

'I do. I do really love her.'
