The howls of wind combined with the crack of lightning and the rumbling thunder made her uneasy. She limped along the damp road, trying not to lose her balance and slip. Holding onto her blood-stained arm she kept it in place, hoping maybe even praying it wasn’t broken. The rain beating down on her head made it hard for her to think. The droplets of water running down her face rapidly, blurred her vision. She peered behind her to see if he was still following her. No one in sight. She turned around, thinking that she was safe now.
