Chapter21

Pdv July

My heavy eyelids are finally starting to move, the weight of my head comparable to that of the whole earth, I don't feel my arms or my feet, I feel so weak and vulnerable. When I open my eyes, I see the white roofs, the crumpled sheet and the tubes that are connected to machines, my green wall which gives a rather dark aspect, my black art paintings which gives me a feeling of solitude. It is my room but I never looked at it as I see it right away. I continue to slowly open my eyes. The image becomes clear and I could see Nick's presence, but what is he doing here? I don't have too many memories of what happened to me or of the one who attacked me.

Nick: how are you my love? He said in a very familiar tone.

Me: I am not your love and where are Roger? I want to see it right away.

Nick: impossible, he must be in his fortress.

Pdv Roger.

Me: we have to find a way out of here. I say being in all my states.

Kev: calm down brother. My father will notice my absence and look for me.

André: but why did he take us on board without asking a question?

Justine: in my opinion it's Nick who attacked July and then seeks help to gain the trust of his alpha.

Me: how else does he know that July was there? At the precise place?

Flashback

Cynthia had just got me drunk with her orders. I admit that she is a little right and that we should practice but I do not know why I am angry with her. I was in front of them and André was wearing July. I didn't see Cynthia in the gang anymore but I thought I was listening to her going back to the cabin so she wasn't with us. We haven't even walked ten meters before we found ourselves surrounded by Nick, Franck and at least a dozen guys. I didn't quite understand what was going on but I kept my cool. The print on their faces clearly shows that this is not a courtesy call and I see Nick with a serious face like someone who had just lost a loved one. He then approaches Justine and pushes her violently to the ground, Kev growls and Franck walks towards us with a threatening face. Nick then takes July in his arms and gives her a kiss on the cheek, on the forehead and kisses her on the mouth. All my friends turned to me, afraid that I would crack. I was angry and jealous, I understood that he wanted to provoke me in the presence of Franck. I was a little boy without a pack and without defense, so eliminating me would not have too many consequences and that nick knew it, Kevin knew it and André knew it. So I just pretend I haven't seen anything and haven't responded to his provocation. So Nick spoke up.

Nick: what did those sons of a dog do to you? I swear to you that I will avenge you, I will avenge your death my princess and I will not let anyone defile you. He said crying.

How can someone be so good? Apparently he thinks July is dead but I know he knows something about this whole thing. I don't know why I'm so sure of this, but I know he knows something about it. All this is not normal at all.

André: can we find you a place in Hollywood? You have too much talent to act my brave he said with a smile.

Justine: Nick, sorry to disappoint you but July is not dead and your place as supreme alpha is not for now she said standing up.

Franck: are you accusing a member of my pack of treason?

Kev: yes that's what we do.

Franck: put them all in the dungeon until July wakes up.

Justine: I am going to treat serious wounds with witchcraft and I am yours, she said, putting July on the ground.

She thus recited incantations which I suppose to be a witchcraft of cures and makes Franck understand that his daughter is out of danger and to watch her well. Then the guys who followed Franck and Nick took us on board and then left us in something that I suppose was a prison.

End flashback.

We've been here for two days now, without washing, and my job must be screwed up by now. But what worries me more is that July has also not woken up for two days.

Me: do you think she'll be okay? I say worried.

André: ......

a guy: come out, you are free.

André: ah finally.

Me: Can I see July? Please .

Franck: André accompanies him. Justine I made you prepare your room and Kev you're waiting for your father.

André: it's weird, isn't it? You lock us up and pretend everything is normal?

Franck: why didn't your parents look for you? We know there is a traitor here to the pack and you will understand why it was essential that you be locked up, he said as he left.

Pdv July.

Nick told me a lot of bullshit because I told him I didn't remember anything. Yes I don't remember the faces that attacked me but I know that Kev, Justine, Roger and André were at the cabin when I was attacked and I had released my aura so that they come to my aid and apparently that's what happened so Nick's story of saving me when my friends wanted to kill me is totally untrue. But how did he know that I deployed a rescue aura? Nick is hiding something but what? I start to believe in André, I start to doubt Nick and an idea crosses my mind. What if it was really him? The sound of my door then takes me out of my thoughts.

Roger: How is she the most magnificent of all humans and wolves? He said laughing.

I was as if stuck in front of a Picasso art painting. Her smile was so beautiful, it's the only thing I want to see now. He is so beautiful, even dirty, he is so pleasant to see. He's my man and I just realized again that he could never hurt me. I love this guy
