Chapter Twenty Nine-Kenna

I waded into the warm water, guided by the smooth-as-honey voice beckoning for me to come closer, "Come, daughter of Aphrodite."

He held out his hand, his pearl blue scales gleaming in the sunlight and I smiled, butterflies dancing in my stomach as I reached for him like reaching for the hand of an old friend. "That's it." He cooed.

He cradled my hand in his and tugged gently, leading me through the wall of cool water. I savoured the feel of it as it lovingly caressed my skin, covering every inch of it. It washed over me, surrounding me completely for a few moments before leaving me feeling refreshed and content as I emerged on the other side. Once I opened my eyes, I found myself staring at a knight dressed in metal armour that only covered the lower part of his body.
