“Now then, next is wind magic I assume…?” the Grand Mage Eliot Demetrius questioned.
Corlissa once again proceeded to place her right hand parallel to the ground and visualised the mana flowing throughout her body to concentrate at her fingertips. Since condensed wind is hard to see to the naked eye, Corlissa created a miniature tornado that was contained in a spherical boundary made of wind at high pressure.
“Woah! This is certainly evidence of your prodigious talent! Such high mastery of both magics, no deficiency in either is astounding!” Sir Eliot Demetrius exclaimed.
“I will now move onto dark magic,” Corlissa Veronique meekly announced after negating her precious creation of wind magic.
The process occurred yet again, this time the results were more...confusing, if that were one way to put it. The orb of dark magic was not a dark purple nor blue but was simply pitch black. The more light a shade of black can absorb, the darker and closer the colour will be to true black.
The orb of dark magic erected from Corlissa’s mana was absolute true black, with the ability to absorb all light shone onto it, although it caused the room to lose its light, such a phenomenon was able to be spectated at a small cost. The second time it has appeared in all of humanity’s history, the magic stronger than the holy light magic, the magic that can negate the holy magic, dark magic has surfaced again in the hands of Corlissa Veronique.
That makes 3 different magics all attained by Corlissa, the first person to ever hold more than 2 attributes in a time where just 1 attribute is the limit. Though there was no one to test if the theories were true, the mages of the mage tower had theorised that when an individual holds more than 1 attribute, they will have a specialty which would be their strong suit and the other magics would be comparatively weaker than the rest.
They had drawn that conclusion from the studies that had shown that the experts of magic who were able to perform rapidfire magic formations were able to do so since the mana in their body had gradually warped to be more suited for the attribute they held. Thus the emergence of Corlissa who has proven that theory wrong holding 4 different magics 3 of which had been tested and proved to all be of the same caliber, would greatly topple the foundations of magic which mages had spent decades constructing upon.
The Grand Mage Eliot Demetrius allowed such information to sink in and gave only the most understandable reaction, he who had lived his entire life learning of these theories only to have them come crashing down, he was left speechless with an agape mouth. Though his jaw seems dislocated with how far it is dropping.
“I will now proceed with the unknown magic, I will ensure that there is a barrier surrounding the area of magic usage to ensure that there are no injuries,” though Corlissa’s apathetic continuation of the test was truly fearsome, she was completely oblivious to the sheer number of casualties to several adult’s she had just caused.
The next magic had displayed a galaxy in the crystal orb which would suggest the ability to create galaxies or something related to the galaxy.
‘Though there is nothing faster than the speed of light, that is due to Einstein’s theory of relativity but that would only apply on Earth, in this world where humans can hold magic, which goes against the norms of Earth, there is a chance that there could be something that can travel faster than the speed of light. This magic that has yet to be seen in this world could have a chance of being able to move at the speed of galaxies moving away from each other which do travel faster than the speed of light,’ Corlissa concluded from the information of her past lives and applying it to her current situation.
Levitating above her hand was a ball of darkness, yet there were stars scattered throughout, peering closer into the orb of magic displayed a solar system. There were planets that were not inhibited yet opened the door to so many more opportunities.
The unknown magic that had displayed a galaxy of stars in the crystal orb was proven to hold the ability to create worlds, it can create anything, that magic is all magic. Every magic, every thing, anything could be created that is the power of Corlissa’s magic.
It was formally bestowed with a name, world magic, befitting its ability to create anything though the mana consumption is dependent on what is being created.
“Truly, you have not failed to surprise me at every turn of events despite our short time we have spent together, I look forward to witnessing your growth, Corlissa Veronique,” Sir Eliot commented with a friendly smile while patting Corlissa’s head.
After the entire ordeal of the tests and such, the pair returned to the Grand Mage’s office and sat beside each other on the couch.
“Would you like a cookie?”Sir Eliot asked.
‘I would like a cookie but I must uphold my dignity! I am not a child! I have lived several lifetimes, I have gained the wisdom of 7 lives! But...the cookie looks yummy though…’ after Corlissa’s mental war over a single cookie, she had caved and accepted the cookie.
“Now I understand why your father dotes on you so much,” the Grand Mage expressed as he watched Corlissa eat like a bunny.
“Ack! How do you know..?” Corlissa questioned suspiciously.
“Haha, it has spread throughout the entire kingdom that the ice cold Duke Veronique brought his daughter to the council meeting and had her sit on his lap for the entirety of the meeting.”
“Oh…”
“But I understand him now! You’re so cute like a doll!”
‘I really want to squish her cheeks right now but she might think I’m a creep!’ Sir Eliot mentally exclaimed with comical tears.
“Anyways, do you need to take your leave yet? I believe your parents are still waiting for you in the hall to go back after the test.”
“Yes, I will excuse myself, thank you for taking time out of our schedule for me, Grand Mage Demetrius.”
“Ah- no worries! It was my pleasure, make sure to visit me when you’re nearby, I’m lonely up here, everyone here are just boring old men…”
“Very well then, I will be sure to visit when I have the time,” Corlissa said before she exited the room to go back to her father who was waiting in the hall.
