I'm Going Home

Over the course of Vanessa's run across town, half-track sped down the streets in search for her. Given the yelling for rats, she'd determined that the second group was detected and being looked for.

Upon seeing Nazis heading towards her, Vanessa ran into a restaurant. People stared at her. She reached for her handgun to shoot them down but remembered that the cops confiscated it. After a brief pause, and hearing the half-track skid near the building, she dashed across the counter and hid by the cashier.

It was the best she could think of. Somebody was bound to snitch her out. But given that she wasn't seen by almost anyone, she could hopefully grab a rifle kinda like Logan did yesterday. The more she thought of that plan was the more Vanessa realized there was no way in hell she could pull that off.

Nazis stormed in, yelling for a short girl with long brown hair and freckles. Vanessa remained quiet, but bowed her head and claimed to herself that she wasn't short.
