A New Problem

Alex’s POV

It’s been so much time.

And I… I am here, just not able to do anything for my sister.

You know what?

That hurts like hell.

She must be there, waiting for me to save her.

But here I am, I can do nothing.

Not that I can’t… but a lot is stopping me.

“She is still not conscious,” the doctor said and nodding, I left the hospital.

Mom has been in a coma for quite a while now. I didn’t tell Hailey because she can’t do anything and she’ll only worry. She had a heart stroke and eventually, she drifted into a long sleep. The doctors said that there is a very low chance that she will ever turn normal. She might even die.

I am thankful that, that Robert is paying for her.

I could afford it… but that would be a lot to do.

I reached home. This isn’t home anymore; it is just a building. No one is here, and living alone, is a curse.

Only Sara visits sometimes, and Lisa rarely does. Lisa has no role, being her best friend, what can she do here?
