Kúiwù allowed Wang Yong to come into his office, his eyes straying to the trembling Dragon Gang member who was hiding in a corner. He sighed and called an emergency medic before he shut the door, leaving the injured bodyguard outside his office.
"What are you here, Wang? Shouldn't you not be in the Tiger Gang hideout, supervising the new workers?" Kúiwù struggled to contain his growing frustration over his favourite godson who was always doing mischievous deeds everyday.
Wang Yong's expression became very depressed as he bent his head in dejection, speaking in a low tone. "I just wanted to tell you that I have finally moved into the Liu family house."
Kúiwù who was already sitting on his chair, signing some documents finally lifted up his head. "Oh, that's nice. Are you finally going yo tell the real reason you returned to the Liu family?"
Wang Yong turned his head away with a sulky expression. "I won't say anything."
Kúiwù. "....."
In less than five minutes, Wang Yong's mood changed in a flash making him sit down with his initial excitement. "But since you asked, I will just say it."
Kúiwù. "..."
"Since I have finally confirmed that my father is dying, I plan to become my father's heir, inheriting my father's companies. Godfather, you should quickly think of a way to help me!" Wang Yong whined at the final sentence, placing his head on his godfather's lap as he sat on the black plush rug.
Kúiwù stroked his head before he opened another file to sign. "That's easy. I know that your only contender for that inheritance is your adopted brother, Bohai so all we need to do is to kill him. Just say the word and I will take care of it."
Wang Yong nodded happily. "Thank you so much, Godfather. You are the best!"
Kúiwù became concerned when he saw that a tear suddenly slipped from his godson's eyes. Knowing his godson's temperament and condition, he knew that it was quite rare for him to be this emotional. He quietly wiped it away. "Why are you sad? Tell your godfather, who bullied you?"
Another tear slipped out of his eyes, making him place his head back on his godfather's lap. "It's my mother, Fan Qiuyue. She doesn't like me. She doesn't love me. She prefers an adopted son over me and my dead brother. She believes that I am dimwitted and slow!"
Kúiwù clenched this fist when he saw that the soft material of his trousers quickly became wet even though he couldn't hear Wang Yong crying. "That's life, Wang. Some people would love us, some people don't. In the end, all you have is yourself. So we need to always love ourselves and never give a damn about what the opinion people have about you."
"You think so?" Kúiwù saw his godson lift up his head, looking at him with wet crystal eyes full of hope. He always knew that his godfather was one of the few people who could console him in this hard times he was going through. Deep down, he had hoped that as he returned, his mother's attitude towards him would change but it seemed like he was wrong. Again.
Kúiwù became attracted to the shiny jet black hair, making him unable to resist putting his fingers through his hair. "I have lived a long life, Wang. I have gone through many difficulties and challenges but there is one thing that I have never been good at. And that is giving foolish advice."
Kong Zhu quietly closed the door in order not to get caught eavesdropping on them, walking away from the scene. His closest subordinate followed him behind, trying to access his boss's thoughts. "Wang Yong is too greedy! Not only is he living well in a wealthy home but he is also playing the frail kid in front of our Leader!"
"Well that's not important right now. With this new information, I will make him regret becoming my enemy!" Kong Zhu smiled cynically.
"What should we do now, Boss?" His subordinate asked him.
"I am Wang's godson so it is time that I meet my little brother's family, don't you think so?" Kong Zhu looked at Wang Yong who was already asleep with his head placed on his godfather's lap.
But in the Liu family mansion, Butler Fang was in a room nervously biting his fingernails as he trailed across the patio under the bright night moon. When he had checked the time five minutes ago, it was already five minutes to four. He was sure that at this time, Second Young Master Bohai would be coming down to the kitchen to get a glass of milk and return back to study until six in the morning.
He wondered what was taking Boss Wang so long to return.
The sound of a door opening told him that his previous intuition was correct so he hid in a corner, watching everything. Bohai finally appeared into view trudging slowly in his white and blue pajamas, rubbing his eyes. He sleepily stretched his hand in search of the switch before his eyes became accommodated to the bright lights awakening him.
After a few minutes, with a glass of milk in his hand he strolled across the corridor with the intention to return to his room when he suddenly stopped, remembering his brother. He was unable to curb his curiosity so he stopped in front of his brother's room, hesitating to open the door. When he finally gathered the courage to knock, he received no response.
At first he thought that maybe his brother was just ignoring him but the more he remembered the tattoo he saw that night, the more he became very suspicious of his adopted brother. He grabbed the door knob and opened the door as quietly as he could in order to just take a peek.
His eyes widened when he saw the room.
He found out that the door that the room was empty. His brother was not in his room?!
