Fight

What am I going to do? I haven't spoken to her in a year! I don't know if I can handle a confrontation with her! I need to leave.

I start desperately trying to make my way out of the crowd, but Riley quickly stops me, wondering why I'm panicking.

"Estelle, what's wrong?"

"Kelly's here."

I then pointed her out, showing Riley that Kelly was indeed here. Riley was about to say more, but before she could, I began to desperately move towards the edge of the crowd to make my escape. I had just made it to the edge when I heard my name get called.

"All right, now that the first four rounds are over, let the next contestants come up to the arenas! In the first arena, Estelle and Kelly!"

Is this some kind of sick joke? I saw Kelly's reaction in my peripheral vision as my eyes stared at the four arenas. It was clear I wasn't the only one shocked, as her eyes were wide and her jaw was dropped. Along with the shock, however, was an unmistakable anger.

I was about to turn and try to desperately escape once again, but I stopped when Kelly began walking angrily towards the arena. Her fists were clenched and her face snarled with each step she took. I wanna run with every fiber of my body, but it's clear that she has something she wants to say.

I can't run away now. It would mean I haven't changed over the past year despite all of my efforts. I have to face her front on.

Steeling myself for whatever may be coming, I walked, slowly but surely, over the the arena where I was specified to fight. As I approached, Kelly's eyes snapped over to meet mine, ferociously staring me down. I gulped as fear swelled up inside me, but I didn't stop.

Once I had hopped up onto the ring, my breath caught in my throat as my eyes met Kelly's. The ferocious stare felt ten times as worse then it was when I was on the ground below. The voice of the speaker was drowned out by my own heartbeat blasting throughout my body.

Before I even realized it, Kelly had taken a swing at me. Moments before her fist collided with my jaw, my mind snapped back to my body and I noticed the sound of the dinging bell.

I let her fist hit me, pretending that it knocked me back. Even when I was on my knees, Kelly kept attacking. She kicked, she punched, she elbowed, and she knee'd.

Even after a solid minute, she didn't let up in her rampage in the slightest. She just kept pounding and pounding on me, not a hint of mercy in her actions.

Why am I just taking this? I did what I did so I could protect our home. What right do you have to be angry with me?

I stood up, surprising both the audience and Kelly at the same time. One moment, I was taking an enormous beating, and the next, I was up and at her like nothing had happened.

Of course, I didn't feel the beating at all, and there wasn't a single mark on me, but she had come at me trying to beat me up, so I'm going to do the same.

Using only a small percentage of my strength so as not to kill her, I began to beat the ever loving crap out of her. One swing after another, she took each and every hit. When she tried to dodge, I redirected my throw with the utmost precision, and when she tried to fight back, I easily dodged with my god-like reflexes.

In less than ten seconds, I had brought her down for the count, and my round was over. The crowd surrounding the plaza went wild with the sudden change of events. It seems I was thought of as an underdog, considering that I went up against Kelly, who is well known for being a tough opponent for anyone.

My fight was the first of the four to finish, so I just waited patiently as the other three fights finished. The next round of fights had Riley up against this burly guy who had clearly been preparing for this contest. He clearly thought he was going to win considering how small Riley looked. He also made a comment about how he would never lose to a girl.

Long story short, the fight was done in under ten seconds after Riley used the guys own body weight to throw him out of the ring. Everyone was startled by the turn of events, but they cheered nonetheless for the impressive victory.

The rest of the fights were a blur. As the number of participants narrowed down, people began to cheer louder and fight harder. Every opponent I was pitted against said they wouldn't lose, yet they all did anyways. Riley also managed to stay in the fight up until the semifinals, which was currently where the contest was. I had just finished my fight, coming out as the victor, and decided to watch from the arena as Riley and his opponent fought.

His opponent was another guy with a slim build. Despite having won every fight before in less than ten seconds, Riley was clearly struggling. The fight had been going on for five minutes, and Riley was clearly beginning to mess up while his opponent was doing as fine as he was at the beginning of the fight.

Neither of them had landed a single hit on the other, only dodging each other's attacks as they spun endlessly around the ring. The opponent made a strike for Riley, who was getting ready to dodge, but then the strike stopped as his other fist began to move instead. A feint meant to distract Riley while he prepared for the real blow. I watched as Riley realized a second too late. He was hit square in the jaw and was flung out of the arena.

One hit and Riley was both knocked out of the arena and rendered unconscious. What a monster.

"All right folks! now that the semifinals have concluded, it is time for the finals! Will Estelle, the mysterious underdog who appeared from nowhere be victorious, or will it be Darius, the winner of this contest an outstanding nine times in a row!?"
