Fishing

"Ah, I caught one!" yelled Havria in delight. She jumped up and down like a child while holding the fish she caught way above her head. I couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction. I guess it has been a couple of thousands of years since she last fished.

"Wow! Klee wants to catch a fish like that too!" she said as she joined Havria in celebrating. After the little celebration, they released the fish and sat back once more. We do keep some of the fishes though.

I was preparing food for us all with Noelle helping me out. She was chuckling at the sight of the two while handing me the ingredients I needed for the dishes that I was making. What were these dishes? Well, they were just simple dishes like Matsutake Meat Rolls, Calla Lily Seafood Soup, and Fragrant Mashed Potatoes. Well, easy for me at least…

After a couple of minutes, I finished cooking. During that period of time, Havria and Klee caught more fish. Noelle called them over so we could all eat lunch together. Havria carried Klee over and sat down with Klee being on her lap. God they're so adorable that I couldn't help but smile. Looking beside me, I could see that Noelle also had a smile on her face albeit more controlled than mine.

"Well, time to eat!"

We all dug in and enjoyed the food that me and Noelle prepared. I've gotta say, my cooking has improved a lot since I came to this world. Well, mostly because the first 500 years I was just sealed. I don't regret waking up in this time period though. A lot wouldn't have happened if I didn't. Meeting the girls, reviving Havria before her life force truly ran out, stopping the Fatui from killing Dvalin, and many more.

"What's wrong hon? You look like you're in deep thought."

"Hm? Oh nothing, I was just thinking of how lucky I was to be able to wake up at this point in time."

"Hehe, we're glad as well." said Havria. Noelle agreed as well while Klee just kept on chowing down on the food we prepared. The three of us smiled as we looked at her. Clueless to the matters of the world and doing whatever she wants. Just like how children should be. While we were eating, I heard some bushes near us move, while Noelle and the others didn't hear it since it was so faint. I couldn't see any elemental energy and the bush, although it's life force was faint, still hid whatever was hiding within.

I"m really glad that I could only see faint life force from plants because if not, I would have been so confused right now. Anyways, I stood up and walked over to the bush. When I moved the bush aside, I saw someone I haven't seen in a long time.

"Bob!? What are you doing here!?"

Bob was always with Barbara and since I haven't really gone to her dorm or even her hotel room yet, I haven't seen Bob at all. Bob hopped happily into my arms and I held him tightly. I guess he missed me too.

"Oh? Is that Bob?" asked Havria.

"Yep!"

I guess Havria saw him with Barbara when they came for a visit the other day. Klee's face lit up and Bob jumped from my arms to Klee's. Oh Archon's, they look so adorable. Knowing how close Klee is with Jean and Barbara, it's not surprising that she knows Bob as well.

"Want to join us in fishing, bud?"

Bob did a motion akin to a nod while he was in Klee's arms. Well, that settles it then.

After about a few more hours of fishing, we all decided to head back. At some point, Klee fell asleep in Havria's arms. We decided to just let her sleep since it'd be too cruel to wake her up. While walking back to Liyue Harbor, we encountered a surprising site. Some Fatui were out and about with some Millelith watching them closely. I decided to ask one of the Millelith about the situation and what he said didn't really surprise me all that much. They were ordered to watch every movement of the Fatui since the adepti of Jueyun Karst finally made their move. Hm, maybe that's why they gathered together yesterday.

He also told me that the Qixing went on to "meet" the adepti outside the city. From the sounds of it, it's more of stalling than actually meeting.

"I've got a bad feeling about this…" I murmured.

As if on cue, my phone rang, startling me a little. It was from Ganyu.

//Hey, dear. What is it that you need?//

//I'm sure you've heard of it by now, but in case you didn't, the adepti are making their move.//

//I've heard. I'm sure Ningguang was the one who told the Millelith to watch the Fatui, no? That's a great decision to be honest.//

//Yes, I've told her about the encounter we had yesterday and she felt a bit furious. Anyways, Ningguang wants to talk to you.//

After that I could faintly hear Ganyu calling out to Ningguang. With a few seconds of silence, Ningguang spoke up.

//Hello there, Aether.// Her voice was authoritative and yet soft at the same time. It was pretty attractive really, but now isn't the time for that.

//Hi there, what is it that you wanted to talk about?//

//Straight to the point, I like it. I want you to head to the Golden House and investigate the happenings there. I lost contact with them quite a while ago. The last call I received was them saying that a orange haired man started attacking the others and then the call got cut off.//

Hearing this made my blood boil and my expression to darken. The Fatui… I swear if they do something that'll hurt the people I love…

"Hon?"

Snapping me out of my thoughts, Havria held my hand and looked at me with a worried expression. I mouthed to her that it was okay and accepted the request.

//Alright, just send me the location.//

//Thank you, Ganyu will send it to you right after this call.//

Just like she said, Ganyu sent me the location just after the call. I could get there in a few minutes if I put my all into flying. I told Havria and Noelle to head back to the hotel and to not open the door to anyone except for me or any of the girls. They agreed and started to walk towards the direction of the hotel while I flew full speed to the Golden House.
