Backlash

I left the Golden House through the hole on the ceiling that Tartaglia made. He should be able to escape if he tries hard enough. I don't really care if he just got caught by the Millelith though. He deserves it. Though, I'm pretty sure that won't happen. While flying, I checked my phone and noticed it was shut down. It was affected by the Electro shockwave earlier I think

When I arrived at the skies of Liyue Harbor, the sky was dark and the seas raged. The waters waved and hit the docking area. Luckily the city itself was on higher ground. I was even more relieved when I saw that the hotel we were staying at was heavily guarded by the Knights of Favonious. Now I'm really sure that Havria and the others were safe.

With that, I put all my attention to the beast, or god rather, that was rampaging at Guyun Stone Forest. A multiple headed hydra made with pure Hydro. From the looks of it, it was charging a shot. A ball made of Hydro combined with divine energy. Then, I looked at the floating mansion shooting at it. That's the Jade Chamber if I remember correctly. Or in simple terms, it's Ningguang's mansion. The arrows were made of pure adeptal energy but it still wasn't enough.

Knowing what was about to happen, I flew straight to the Jade Chamber with the same blinding speed that I did earlier with my fight with Tartaglia. As the shot got near the Jade Chamber, I got in front of it and raised my hand, creating a Gluttony Vortex. Within an instant, the very powerful attack got absorbed. I got pushed back a bit though. Once it was fully absorbed, the flames dissipated and I looked back to the people behind me.

"Sorry I'm late," I said as I floated down, landing in front of my wife-to-be. She quickly closed the little gap between us and gave me a tight hug.

"I was calling you!" she was slightly tearing up and her voice was shaking.

"Sorry, my phone got affected during my fight with a Harbinger in the Golden House." I said as patted her head. "It's okay, I'm here now."

"Mhm…" she backed away and wiped the little amounts of tears she had. She looked at the monster in front of us then opened her mouth. "That's the ancient god known as Osial, the Overlord of the Vortex."

I looked at it with narrowed eyes. Since it's a god, I can't really kill it since its power will explode. The most we could do was seal it again. Looking around me, I could see the three adepti charging up a single powerful attack. I wonder why they didn't do this earlier… However, as if she read my mind(Not surprising now really), Ganyu answered my question.

"The Fatui attacked us as well. We actually just defeated them before you arrived." she said as she looked at the attack in front of us as well. She then tugged my sleeve, making me look at her. "We've weakened him with all we could. Do you think you can handle him when this attack doesn't work?"

I smirked and looked at the monster.

"We'll see. Fighting that Harbinger taught me a lesson."

"What was it?" she questioned.

"Holding back is useless if that means I'll sacrifice my loved ones. So…" I then looked at Ganyu with a smile plastered on my face. "I'll give it my all and finish him off."

She smiled and nodded. "I know you will."

When the attack of the three adepti got fully charged, they launched it at Osial with the intention to finish all of this once and for all. However, the ancient god just got even more annoyed. It got staggered though. I sighed and looked towards Ganyu once more.

"Tell the adepti to direct their energy to me, my power alone might not be enough after all."

"Alright." Ganyu nodded and went to the adepti to tell them the plan. They agreed seeing that I'm the only hope they have left. Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer especially had confidence in my abilities. Haah, alright then. I slowly walked to the middle of the platform where Ningguang and Keqing were standing while summoning my halberd. Luckily, Osial is still staggered.

"Are you ready?" asked Ganyu.

"Mhm."

I released the full power of my Gluttony and compressed it so as to not make the flames spread and hurt the others around me. The other adepti, except Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer, were a bit startled. However, they quickly got a hold of themselves and started directing their energy straight at me.

Instead of making my flames consume the energy, I made it so that it will just fuse with it. The black flames changed color to a muddy gold and the faint warmth it gave before turned into a burning sensation. This is too much for my current state. It also doesn't help that my body can't handle being in full power yet. I was just toughening up earlier and couldn't feel it too much due to my adrenaline, but fucking hell does it hurt. Although, I think my body will be able to handle it after a few more uses.

Haah, all the more reason to just use my full power than just using a little of it. That way, my body is always accustomed to using my full power.

"Alright then!"

I gathered all of that energy to my halberd and prepared to throw it. Putting my all into this one attack. My left eye started to feel like it was burning, only for the feeling to disappear a second later after a yellow flash appeared within the vision of my left eye. I could still see the same as I did before that happened, so it made me wonder what that was for. Nevermind, I'll just think about it later.

The ground beneath me cracked as the force of me preparing my attack was getting more powerful. When I judged it as enough, I threw the halberd, shattering the ground beneath me. At the same time, Osial launched his own attack to block the halberd. Too bad…

The halberd broke the attack, absorbing it as it passed by. When I felt my power increase once more, I spat out blood due to the burden increasing. Just a bit more, I just need to keep conscious until I make sure Osial is sealed again. Just a few seconds later, the halberd hit one of the god's heads square on the neck.

"Stay under the sea you bastard!"

I closed my hands and with a bright gold flash, the halberd exploded and reconstructed itself to chains, binding the god to the sea floor. It was still struggling so I put more pressure on the chains, dragging it back to the sea floor. Good thing the adepti kept attacking it earlier to weaken it. If not, I doubt I would have stood a chance.

"We… did it… We did it!" Keqing and Ganyu jumped happily. They both looked at me and I could only smile back weakly.

"Ehe… I think I'll rest… for now…"

After that, my knees weakened and the world turned dark.
