Meteor

Oh boy...look at what we have here! A meteor roaring its way towards the peaceful park. Ed thought that it was their time to go, like the dinosaurs some years ago. Alright, that was fun, but back to the usual narration we go

Ed and Charlie were sitting on the bench enjoying their lunch when suddenly;

[Direct contact with sunlight has subsided]

[stats will return to normal]

Ed raised his eyebrows and looked up, only to see a large rock covering the sun. It appeared to be growing, but, after a while, Everyone in the area realized that it was actually coming towards them.

Ed and Charlie both dropped their cup of noodles at the same time, and looked at each other with horror.

Most people ran away, but there were a few that remained, either due to shock, or maybe amazement, or even curiosity. Ed and Charlie were one of those people, however, the reason why they stayed was in order to attempt to prevent as many deaths as possible.

Everyone left stared at the meteor as it came crashing down. It seemed to be coming down in the middle of the park, as its shadow casted upon the ground.

As everyone backed away, the meteor sped up and violently crashed into the ground.

It split up, and humanoid creatures came out. They had blood red skin, lean but dense muscles, and hair made of fire. Ed couldn't help but feel an emotional connection with them. Almost as if he had met "his people". Charlie tugged at Ed and signaled for caution.

They seemed to stop in a line parallel to each other out of the meteor, as if they were some sort of royal guard, or maybe they were…

When it looked like all of them came out there was a halt of movement - both from the humans and these creatures. The humans were too scared to move, and the creatures looked to be waiting for someone, or something, to come out.

After a while, something came out. It was a huge amalgamation of fire, but it somehow had a silhouette of a human. You could also faintly see a face on its head.

The thing seemed to be walking towards Ed. As it did, the "royal guard" moved to surround the meteor's circumference.

Charlie glanced at Ed and was curious about his expression. Ed was smiling.

[Mind control detected]

[Retaking control…]

He began walking towards the fire creature and they both stopped about a meter from each other.

[12% control]

"Greetings, child!" said the creature.

Ed bowed. "Respects to the king."

[30% control]

Ed wasn't in control of his body, he was only watching as something took over him. He couldn't understand this connection...the thing seemed to be speaking in some alien language, and yet he was able to converse with it…

[69% control]

"You may raise your head."

Ed raised his head.

[88% control]

"My child, you've unlocked the first step towards becoming one of us. You must come, for I will teach you personally how to truly become powerful!"

[Regained control]

Ed shook his head violently and grabbed his head. Charlie, seeing this, rushed over.

The creatures threw a beam of fire at them and blasted them away.

"Charlie!"

[Extreme anger detected]

[Entering berserk mode]

[all stats +20]

Ed's body turned extremely pale. It was as if he was engulfed in white fire.

He stomped on the ground and let out a thunderous roar.

Charlie, barely conscious, was trying to get up, but couldn't muster up the strength to do so.

The thing laughed. "You surprised me with that power up, I must say, but do you really think you can beat me?"
