"What are you saying? And what's a Daevik?" I ask Arleore, hoping to uncover the reason why no one recognizes my last name.
"The Daeviks are a mysterious family. Their name is well known but they are so secretive. No one knows their magic art, although I've heard rumours that it's something that deals with dragons. Don't ask for more information, that's all I know."
Then how did Veronica, Elise's maid recognize the insignia? I will get to the bottom of this the next time I go back home to Bridth. I've heard Ben say dad had a dragon, so if dad was a Daevik that means they are my cousins, right? But how did I inherit King Arthur's will? Everything is starting to get complicated. I need to find out anything useful from Arleore. I need to study more.
"Umm… Arleore? Please can you tell me what magic art is?"
"Hmm? You're pretty ignorant, aren't you? It's like you never even left your house before you came to this school." I chuckle frightenedly at her words. How is she able to deduce so much accurately even though it's a simple assumption? It's like she naturally has an Omega Eye.
"Anyway, magic art is a specific magic attribute that is seen in almost every member of a specific family."
"Haha...that's good, that's good…haha."
"Yeah, it'll be pretty dumb if you didn't know anything about magic attributes right? Haha."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Are you kidding me right now?"
"Please just tell me..."
"sigh...Magic attributes are specific traits in magic that are passed through genes, my goodness, boys are so dumb." I and Bruce looked at each other at the same time.
"Oh yeah! Why did you say that the Overlord is your father?" She asks looking perplexed.
"You won't understand it." I end it with that.
She doesn't question further because she likely understands I don't want to explain further.

Well, that's that.
Arleore and I chat some more. It's just her bragging about her family and what they have accomplished. Does every child born with privilege brag and show it off to others to get special treatment like this? I haven't seen myself do such.
I sit quietly after some time since Arleore went to the ladies room.
I look at Bruce who just sits there, quietly eating the load of food he took.
"Why are you always silent? You know it'll be nice if you join our chat sometimes." I said to Bruce, but he just shrugs and continues munching on his food.
*sigh* – There are fifteen minutes left on the clock for dinner time, which lasts for an hour and thirty minutes.
Just who are those superstrong mysterious people dressed in white? I can't think of any plausible answers so I will let it rest for now and search for clues.
Let me use this chance to check out that store and inventory stuff.
I open the menu tab and look at 'store' for like two seconds, and it opens.
[STORE]
[You cannot access this feature until further update]
Then what's the use? I ridicule the system a bit further, then a thought enters my head.
I raise my finger to touch 'Inventory' and to my surprise, it shows the inventory, although my finger passed through.

[Excalibur 1st form – The Leech (...)]
Oh, so this is where Excalibur normally stays. It makes sense now. Its other name seems to be 'The Leech', it's probably due to its skills like Blood Drain.
The slots are in a three by three grid and Excalibur takes the last box.
I look at the sword at my waist and unstrap it to place it in the inventory.
I raise it to an empty slot and let my hand pass through.
'Plop!'
It dematerialized and immediately entered the inventory. It looked like a pixelated version of the normal sword.
'How do I know what pixelated is? Oh! It's from that other world, sheesh, how'd I forget, so dumb of me.'
This world has pictures too, since there are humans who can't use magic they also invented things. But compared to that other world our technology is far-far behind; we are still using steam trains.

I feel satisfied that at least the system update came with something good.
"HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SWORDS DISAPPEAR?!" Bruce asks, his voice is too bold for his age, but I can still hear the fright in it as he spoke.
I figured this might happen since they already know how I use Excalibur.
"It's a special magic attribute in my family. My dad taught me how to do it perfectly before he died." I lie so Bruce will pity me and not ask me to teach him or something. Its all thanks to what Arleore just told me I can now form a valid reason.
"I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS." Bruce continues munching on his food, but I notice the change in his mood.
What is taking Arleore so long?
'Grrrrrinnggg!'
The bell for change of periods rings aloud to inform the students that it is time for the night class.
I will wait a few more minutes for Ben, Arleore and the rest.
I start hearing some noises behind me, so it calls my attention, then I see Linerk Vane walking towards me.
He starts preparing a spell, and it looks like he uses fire-type magic.
I quickly use Blink to appear behind him and plan on using Excalibur to stun him, but in that split second, his eyes slowly turn to face me as I charge at him as Excalibur materializes, but what materialized is a short dagger.
'Touch'

I look at Excalibur so its information will show.
[Name : Excalibur 1st form – The Leech (Sealed version)]
[Type : Weapon (Dagger)]
[Grade : C-Rank Weapon]
[Description : Excalibur 1st form – The Leech has been sealed by the system because the system sees it as too superb for weak-ass User Danton]
[Effect : Attack damage +10]
Oh...no… The system has… killed me.
Linerk and I look at each other for a few seconds, waiting for something to happen as the moment feels so awkward.
'Boom'
He hits me and I pass out.

BEN GRAY
After we left the dining hall, Riley directed Elise and me to the school beast keeper's office.
We enter the office, and it looks more like a pet shop rather than an office because several small beasts are caged and stacked on each other.
That is just the first compartment since I can see a door shaped cut-out leading to the back of the room.
"Grrrrr---Woof! Woof! Woof!"
We hear barks from the back and run there.
The back area is filled with bigger beasts than the last and I can see a beast that looks like a giant lizard with spikes on its back.
I mainly notice only that lizard because as it saw me it looked frightened and afraid.
Can it see that I am half-dragon?
"Stay calm, my cute little puppies." I hear a crooked voice come from the basement. We run down the stairs leading to the basement.
Zeus and Hades don't look much like puppies any longer, so how does he know they are puppies? He must know something about their breed.
"W-W-Who is that?" The man with the crooked voice asks.
He had round glasses and had bushy short black hair with a square-shaped face. He is fat and has a big stomach.
"Beast keeper Ballar, it's me... Riley." Says Riley, slowly walking forward, "Please I need those two dogs I gave you back."
The middle-aged man stands up and clears his throat.
"No! These dogs are too dangerous to be around normal students. So I, as the school's beast keeper will keep them! Now leave!"
"Sir, please the owner of those dogs won't be happy if he doesn't get them back. Please be considerate." Elise begs.
"Students' safety from beasts is my topmost priority. And who is this owner you are talking about?" Ballar asks and thus I conclude that he knows something about the twins, and now he wants to know how the owner got his hand on such beasts.
"The owner is--" I stop Elise from talking by stepping in front of her.
This man can't be trusted. I feel hostile close to him and a wave of unknown anger is clouding my reasoning, but I think I will just call it animal instinct.
I walk forward and say, "I don't think you understand. We aren't asking for your consent."
Ever since the day Mr Kreiss died, I have been feeling weird and it makes me want to lash out at everything and everyone. At first, it wasn't this intense but as time went by and the two months of training with Vivian elapsed it became worse.
This unknown wave of anger swells as I walk closer to Ballar. I can feel the fingernails on my left-hand become as sharp as claws and my field of vision from my left eye become narrower and sharper.
I let out a massive flow of my mana to intensify the aura pressure.
'Hieck!'
Ballar screams and falls on his butt, but this anger isn't just calming down.
I forgot about the dogs and the only thought going through my head is tearing this man up into bits and pieces.
I move closer to him and use my wind-type magic to add momentum to my strike.
A devilish smile crept on my face and just as I was about to slash Ballar's face,
"Ben!!!"
Elise shouts, making me halt on the spot as I regain my senses.
I have noticed that I have been changing ever since Danton's dad's death but I don't know why.
I look at Ballar and it seems like he was scared to the extent he peed his pants.
"What are those dogs?" I feel bad for humiliating him like this but a part of me feels... good?
"T-T-T-They are not dogs, they are h-h-hellhounds t-t-that can evolve to become anything they want." Ballar bends over and begs in tears.
*sigh* – Grandmaster Windstrum won't be happy about this. But what... came over me?
We released the dogs and headed back to the dining hall.

DANTON STONEHEAD
".....up!"
What? Who is that?
"Wake up!"
"I'm awake!" I jolt up from the floor.
I was surrounded by Ben, Elise, Arleore, Bruce and Ricky, with...
"Zeus and Hades!!" I hug the dogs because I don't want to give my teammates, mostly Arleore, any time to mock me for passing out with one hit even though I am a beastly-type magic-user.
"Danny, what happened to you?" Elise asks. I turn to Arleore, who just had a devilish smile on her face.
This girl! She refused to tell them, so I will have to say it with my mouth.
The dining hall was already empty, and we're the only ones remaining here.
But why did Linerk Vane pick a fight with me? That's a dumb question. He likely came to teach me a lesson as a scapegoat for other students and to deter them from joining my faction.
I quickly stand up and wipe the dirt off my clothes. I notice the burn marks on my shirt, but it isn't severe.
"Let's hurry to class guys." I'll avoid the question Elise asked using the night class as an excuse.
A few moments later, we arrived in the classroom. The classroom looked the same as the last and the same magitech device Windstrum used was in play here.
The Wizard was beside the floating screen and I remembered that we were learning History I.
