Climbing the stairs, I met Vin Drale but he just looked at me and retracted his gaze immediately.

'Hehe, that's how it's supposed to be. Fear me, you weak peasants.' I was laughing on my way up but instantly became solemn about how weak I was. I was only able to deceive other people into thinking I'm strong.

'Sigh… how did I become such a brute? Getting strong in this world where the strong rule was of little importance to me. All I wanted to do was explore the things I don't know and try to invent the things from that other world. Constantine really made my life change.'

I opened the door to my dorm and the twins ran up to me. I bent down and patted them gently then moved over to my bed and lay down.

I sprung up and looked at the impromptu quest.

'He really meant it when he said I would wish I never existed. But he doesn't realize that this isn't a problem. Bring it on you asshole! I'll get through this and come for you when I'm done with Constantine.'

This was a chance to become more accustomed to beastly-type magic and increase my coordination with the twins.

'Plus, None of the others has returned so they might be receiving mentorship from each of their mentors, but how did that Riley dude get a mentor?' I thought as I changed my outfit to the white long-sleeve vest, black pair of trousers, and brown leather boots I wore earlier in the morning.

I left the dorm with the twins and made my way to the training ground.

Upon getting there, I was surprised because I found no student training. I thought the mentors will train their mentors in the training ground.

According to the quest objectives, I performed 20 push-ups, 20 press-ups, 20 sit-ups and ran 2 kilometres around the track for running.

Entering the next phase, I took the steel sword out and performed routine movements. It was solely to practice the sword art I automatically learned upon the arrival of the system.

After, I sat down in a cross-legged position and started practising my 'flow of magic' by moving mana around my body.

Most young mages didn't know their power signatures because they could not comprehend the type of magic they possessed, much less interpret it. So this alone was my lead against them. This meant they also didn't know their mana definitions. Although, I still didn't know my mana definition.

Sitting there in tranquillity, I couldn't help but think, 'If I didn't steal that Grade A monster's beastly-type magic, what magic-type would I have had?'

I tossed the question at the back of my mind. No matter how hard I thought, I knew I couldn't come to an answer.

After about 15 minutes, I stood up and got into a battle stance.

I looked at Zeus and Hades who were playing around and they stopped then looked at me awkwardly.

"Let's spar." I charged forward with my steel sword.

Zeus ran and appeared behind me in the blink of an eye and at the same time, Hades was about to shoot fire from its mouth.

'Hehe, they think that'll work on me.' I twisted my left and leapt into the air by kicking my right leg then followed by my left leg again. I wanted to perform an air twist then catch Zeus as I fell.

Zeus was already about to bite my leg as I performed the air twist but as I was still in the air, supposedly, twisting, Poof!

Hades who was now where Zeus was immediately let out his fire breath as I was still in midair. There was no way to dodge.

I was scorched with Hades' non-lethal fire and I didn't land properly so I sustained minor bruises to my right hand.

'Dammit, I underestimated the intelligence of these puppies. This is so embarrassing. Thank goodness no one was here with me.'

I stood up to exit the training ground, I heard a voice behind me.

"What a wonderful performance. Those pups are amazing!" The female voice made me lose my soul.

I slowly turned around, thinking of a way to silence the individual so no one, most especially Arleore, would find out.

"Sorry for the intrusion, Hi! My name's Minase Haeris, the Student Council Secretary." I couldn't help but curse my bad luck.

She had long dark green hair, calm dark blue eyes, a short nose and small pink lips. She looked cheerful and easygoing, it couldn't be heard from her voice's hyperactivity. She wore a white suit jacket, a double-breasted inner suit jacket, a white pair of female trousers and white boots laced with the same gold colour as the buttons of her upper outfit. She looked to be about Grant Grail's age mate, either 15 or 16 years old.

"You don't have to worry. I won't tell anyone what I saw." Minase said. She likely read my facial expressions. I calmed down; at least the Student Council had some nice people.

I cleared my throat and spoke, "My name's Danton…" I started contemplating whether or not I should tell her my full name.

"Yes, I know. And I just came over to apologize for what Vice-president Linerk did the other day. President Grant advised him against it but he said he just wanted to teach you a minor lesson. I'm really sorry!"

"I-It's fine I guess. Opponents mustn't play nice to each other." I was on guard against her. Females tend to be scarier.

Minase bent down and pat Zeus and Hades. The dogs showed no hostility.

"What are their names?"

"Zeus and Hades." As I answered, she turned her head to look at me and her facial expression clearly stated, "Such dumb names."

She got up and said, "I have some matters to attend to so I'll take my leave. And please be careful not to offend President Grant because Vice-president Linerk will most likely repeat the same act of teaching you a lesson."

"Oh ok."

I turned to leave but she turned back and said, "Oh, and Elise speaks highly of you. She tells our mentor you are talented."

'Oh Elise, what a kind soul. Sigh, but I'm not as special as she thinks.' I thought before saying, "Please express my gratitude for me and also, I'm obviously not as special as she believes. She only thinks so because I've saved her in the past."

"Yes, she also said that. But I find it hard to believe you won against a Grade A monster." She said while giggling.

I didn't try to clear her doubts since I now know I didn't get out of that situation alive due to my strength. I only made it through because I was spared by that blurred-face man.

"Anyway, why do I not see any student training here?" I just asked to satisfy my curiosity.

"Because there are special rooms for training. Only students with mentors are granted usage of such rooms. They are fairly large and multiple students train at the same time." She answered.

"Ok. Thank you."

"Ok. Bye." She left.

It was almost 6:00 p.m. so it would soon be time for dinner.

I went back to the hostel and was cursing my bad luck on the way. I had no mentor, no way to access the schools training facilities and was being tortured by the system. The only thing I was given was a book for dummies. I couldn't help but sigh due to self-pity.

Upon arrival, I found out the boys were already back. I took a quick shower then changed my outfit to the hostel wear which was a white long sleeve shirt and blue trousers, and was given a quest to have a quick rest. The reward was only +1 EXP and failure was chosen at random by the system.

I woke up to the sounds of the bell that indicated that it was time for dinner. And also received a quest that said I should have it.

We went down to the dining hall together and met up with Elise and Arleore, who had become good friends.

They chatted away but I was drained and exhausted so I didn't join in. I just lay my head down and dozed off a little.

After dinner, we went to our general class which was Beastry I.
