Chapter 35: Back to Where Everything Started

After eating breakfast, they agreed to start the training as soon as possible, and this made the oracle surprised. She didn't know why they both said this all of the sudden.

"I thought you wouldn't want to do it. That's why I gave you two days to think." She said and looked intently at the two, as if there is something that they don't want her to know.

"Don't think of it in the wrong way. The only reason for us to do this, is for ourselves only. More or less nothing." Granger answered with his usual expressionless face.

"We want to know how to defend ourselves when serious problem comes. We don't want to experience another failure if I may say." Daisy also answered with a sad tone as she reminisce everything that had happened at Northern Dawn.

Being aware of this, Granger then held her by the shoulder to calm her down, and she just smiled sadly at this to assure him.

"Very well then." Ban said and stand up. "Go back upstairs and explore the left part of the house. Choose a door and go inside of it. Please choose wisely, for every door has it's own especial use." She said and the other two just nodded at this before leaving and going up.

"I need to change my dress, I can't move comfortably with this." Daisy said as she look at her cloth as white as snow.

"Same here, let's just go there together, after we finish changing up." Granger said and they both went inside of their rooms to change.

Good thing Daisy found something to wear. It was a black dress that reach up to her knees just like what she wore earlier. It's just plain, no other design aside from the logo of something very familiar to her. The lower part is more like that of a short that is enough to make her move comfortably. She also tied her hair into a ponytail and leaved some strand on her left and right ear part. She also saw a pair of shoes that matches her cloth, making her pick it up and wear it.

"Perfect." She said before going out. She also waited for Granger for about two minutes. Then his door opened. At first, Daisy was stunned to see him, but when he asked what the matter is, she woke up from reality. "Nothing, you just look perfect with that outfit." She said and looked at him from head to toe.

He was wearing an all black attire, same like that of a character in a movie where a man wears something cool before a fight. She really can't take away her stare at him, because he looks too perfect.

"If you don't stop staring at me like that. I will definitely go back to my room to change." He said and his eyes knitted at this. "I feel a bit ashamed right now." He said and Daisy just giggled at this.

"Come on, let's go." She said and pulled Granger's wrist to go to the left side of the way. They stopped to look at the doors.

"Where should we go?" She said while inspecting every door.

"You mean where should you go?" Granger corrected her making her look at him confusely. "You may not have understood her, but she meant that we need to pick a door only for ourselves." He explained.

"But she didn't even said such a thing."

"But it's what she meant." Because of what he answered, Daisy was left with no other choice but to agree. "I don't know why she needs to keep us apart with this one, but I guess it's for the best of us." He said and Daisy just nodded nervously at this.

"Just be careful in there ok? Promise me you won't hurt yourself." She said worriedly.

"I can't promise you that, but I can promise you that I will meet you again here at this spot." Granger said assuring Daisy.

After that, they both chose the door that they think is right for them and went inside. They chose the door that is same as their rooms and went inside.

As Daisy walk inside of the room, she noticed that there is another door in front of her, so she opened it and was surprised to see a spinning and colorful spiral thing inside.

"What is this for?" She asked and think of what it was, when she remembered. "A portal?" Her eyes knitted in confusion. "But where?" She again asked and thought of going in, but got doubts.

But after a while, she just came up with a conclusion to go inside to see what's on the other side. Upon entering, she felt herself being pulled in, unable to free herself.

"Whoa!" She exclaimed but it was too late for her to draw. She was already sucked inside and was spinning all around, making her dizzy and felt like puking. Just in time when she was thrown out of the hole. "Ow!" She groaned in pain as she sat up to look at her surroundings. "I really hate portals!" She said and stand up.

"Come on! Hurry up! Before Mailey can catch up!" She heard a familiar voice shouting not far from her, and this made her shiver. She felt nervous, to the point that she couldn't move. She also heard laughter, making her stand up.

"Where- Where am I?" She asked confused and when she turned around, she was then shocked to see the place that she was in. "No, it can't be!" She said and looked at everyone's smiling faces.

Everything looks perfect, everyone was happy as if there is no problem about to happen in the place. Children are running around, happily playing together, while the grown ups were chatting with each other.

"Why am I here?" She asked and felt a pain in her chest when she saw her sister Jaimey, pulling someone along with her, Mailey trailing from behind. "Mailey, Jaimey." She smiled as tears started to fall from her eyes. She can't believe what's happening right now. All she knew is that she is seeing her sisters smiling faces again. "Mailey! Jaimey!" She called out, but they couldn't hear her, so she ran as quickly as she could and followed them.

She ran and ran until they all reached their own house. Steam emitting from the chimney of the house. She still can't believe what she is looking at right now, but she walked towards them.

"I-I'm finally home!" She said, but as she was about to go and hug her sisters. She saw the face of another girl that Jaimey was holding to. She felt goosebumps when she saw who that person is. "Why does she looked like me?" Was all she could manage to say.
