Daisy
'Where... Where am I?'
Was all I could ask as I open my eyes and inspect my sorroundings. All I saw was a pure dark and nothing more. It's like, I'm in a dark cave or something, and is it night time?
"Hello?" I called out. "Is anyone here? Where am I?" I asked, but got nothing as an answer.
This made me nervous and tried to look around. To my disappointment, I saw nothing but an empty, black space. Which, seems weird, because even if it's already night time. I can still see a small silhouette, am I wrong?
"Heeelp! Is anyone there? Pleeease!!! Help me, please!" I started to cry. I could feel my tears rolling down my cheeks as I shout as loud as I could, but still couldn't see anything.
I am also starting to feel scared, and I even can't control myself anymore.
'Granger... Where are you Granger.'
I don't know why I am feeling this way, but maybe it's because of what happened at the trial? Maybe it has caused too much trauma within me.
Aside from the mere fact that we almost got killed while handling everything there.
I was also about to loose strength when...
"Daisy?" In just a second, I felt someone embracing me tightly, making me surprised but at the same time, safe. "Thank God! You're awake! I got very worried and thought that you'd not be able to wake up after all that had happened." He sounded like crying while saying those words, but I really couldn't tell. I can't see anything if I may repeat.
"What time is it?" I asked and he let go of me.
"It's already noontime. By the way, you've been sleeping for about three days." I was shocked to find out about what he said, but one thing made me shake in fear.
'Then does that mean-'
"I can't see anything. Am I... Blind?" I don't know why I felt this much fear in my whole life, but you can't blame me. It's just fuckin' noontime, but why can't I even freakin' see a thing?!
"What do you mean you can't see a thing?" He asked, and I could hear him worriedly asking.
"I see nothing, Granger. Just a pitch, black and empty colored space." I explained and started to cry again. "Why did I got blind, huh?" I asked, even though I knew he couldn't answer me.
"It was because of what happened to you back then, when you've fought with the demons at the trial." I heard a familiar voice, making me hold Granger's hand as tight as I could.
"Thy majesty." Granger said and stand up, I guess to give his respect. But how could I? Given the fact that I couldn't even see a thing.
"It's great to know that you are now doing well, Granger. As for Daisy, i'm really sorry for what had happened to you." I heard that soothing voice of the queen herself, making me felt like I was swaying in the air.
"I know that you've had so much trouble facing the trials, but now that it have already ended, there's no need for you to worry." But after hearing the king's voice, my happy feeling was somewhat shattered. It made me angry, and to think that he had said such things? I really got mad.
"Are you kidding me right now?!" I asked without due respect. I am also now thinking about their reactions. Maybe they are all shocked or surprised by my actions? "Did you really think that i'd be happy hearing what you've just said?! After all that had happened?! Don't make me laugh!" I could not hold myself anymore.
"Daisy, calm down-"
"No Granger! They've just killed innocent children! Just because of a trial! A nonsense fuckin' trial! And now they're telling us that everything is fine?! What kind of kingdom is this?! Turning everyone into nothing but mere robots?! And for what purpose?"
"Daisy- what are robots?"
"And my family! My whole world who have been killed by I don't know who... Can't they have justice, even just a pinch? What should I do? My family and friends was killed for more than a year ago, and the only family that I have left is none other than Granger himself... Can't we just have a happy life like those commoners out there?" I started to cry again, but this time, I tried to wipe them out for them not to see me at my weakest state. But my eyes didn't followed suit. It just kept on tearing up. "I can't believe that I have been born in this world, just to have this kind of life. What other hellish things am I gonna face in the future, huh? Tell me, so that I can ready my fuckin' self!" I shouted and I heard gasps all around me, making me wonder and crunch my brows.
"Daisy, please... Calm down. Please, I'm begging you. Let go of your hate. Everything had already passed. Let's just continue what we've started, and think of it as the step towards our family and friends' justice." Granger said, and held me by the shoulder. And even if I couldn't see him, I can feel him looking straight right at me.
"But I can't loose you too Granger." I said while sobbing. "I've already lost many of my love ones, and continuing this journey may end one of us dying. I can't let that happen Granger, mostly if it were you who will die first."
"I know it's hard for you to think about it, but please. Let's just do it, for the sake of everyone. And for us too." He said. But his answer just makes no sense at all. I mean, why does he want to keep going on? Why doesn't he just give up? There's no way we could have another step forward anyway. "We may not have the answers for our questions today, but I know that someday, somehow, it will all have the solutions that we need. We just have to be patient and take one step at a time. Closer, until we make it." He explained, and having no other answers, I gave up and just nodded as an agreement.
"I'm so sorry if I made a fuss earlier Your highness. I just couldn't contain my anger anymore." I explained and bowed my head. A bit embarrassed with what i've said.
"We understand why you have to say such things. To be honest, we are the ones who should be sorry. You ended up being blind just because of helping others. You did such a heroic act back there, and with your help, everyone passed and nobody had been hurt that much, except for you." I heard the princess said. So I just smiled.
After all the talking, everything went smoothly around us and then they all left. Granger and I were the only ones left.
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked.
"I feel great, except for the blind part." I pouted, then I felt my bed move a bit and noticed that he had sat beside me. He made me lay down and said.
"If ever you need something, just tell me and I will give it to you." After that, he layed beside me and hugged me.
'What's up with this guy?'
"I will never leave your side ever again. Nor will I ever let anyone keep us apart." He said and that was the last thing I heard he said, before feeling sleepy and was gone unconscious, again.
'I just hope that when I wake up, my sight will be back the way it was.'
