Chapter 51: Another Persona

Today was a happy day. I met some new friends and we were really getting along with each other, and reading books together at the table here at the dorm. Not until someone just barged in and said some annoying things.

"Tch! Oh come on, the main reason why you have been invited here, it's because you can't control your magic. Basically, a weakling." Meet Jhon Traceler Hakuryuu. The top student of Genesis academy, according to these three girls beside me. He's a boy with an unpleasant personality.

"Tracey, come on~ she's a new student here. How come you didn't welcome her properly?" Guinevere asked disappointedly, but Traceler just scoffed at this.

"Just because she's new here, doesn't mean she can get the VIP entrance. After all everyone who comes here as a new student are weaklings, and how many times do I have to remind you never to call me by that name?" His voice sounds very annoying at some point. Even if he sounded like Granger, having that monotonous voice... I can't help but be pissed by what he is saying.

"Oh? So you mean to tell me that you are also a weakling when you first entered here then... You just became stronger than me first." I answered sarcastically, making him look at me with dull eyes. But even if so, if he thinks that I'd let him win, well no. I have this saying that "Whoever remains standing at the end is the victor". So I won't let him win.

"I don't disagree with what you said. But I suggest, before you say those lines, be as strong as I am first." He said, making me more irritated. I thought he'd be pissed, but he was as calm as before the storm.

I was about to say another words to him, but then I remembered something...

"Always remember to be kind to everyone, even if they make fun of you. That is what matters the most. Kindness." That line which, I kinda remembered. But... I can't seem to know who said that lines. Am I starting to think about things because of what Traceler did to me? But nah~ that's kinda impossible.

"Now, if you excuse me... I have some other things to do than just talk to someone who is overconfident, even though she is just a freshman." He said.

"Traceler!" Guinevere called, but the boy just didn't mind her. "If you don't say sorry to her right now, I'm gonna report this!" She blackmailed, but was of no use.

"You can report me anytime you want. I still don't care." Trying to keep my pace, I smiled.

"Just let him be Guin... I don't mind him saying random bullshits anyways. I just want to learn and improve my abilities, that's why i'm here. So no more blackmailings, ok?" I laughed nervously and awkwardly at the situation. "Traceler... If you don't have anything good to say, your free to leave anytime." I said, but even though I wanted to be sarcastic... I can't just let this misunderstanding grow.

And it's a good thing he went out of the dorm after I said those words. Now I can finally breath easily.

"HAHA! Didn't you just heard that? Daisy said sarcastic words to him! Unbelievable!" Rose laughed, making me raise a brow at her.

"Nobody has ever talked to him like that before. And even if you tried hard to hide what you really feel. Your words already told it." Mye explained, making me embarrassed. I can't believe it. I just talked badly at my senior!

Nevertheless, the one who is right here is me. I mean, what is his problem with me anyways? This is our first time meeting each other, but it kinda looks like he had a grudge on me for a very long time already.

"Nevermind that punk Daisy. Nobody even understands why he is always acting that way." Guinevere explained while pouting pissed. She's kinda cute with that though, so I giggled at this making them look at me.

"What? Guin was kinda cute, I couldn't help it." I said and they all laughed with me. "Anyway, about him... I don't think that is what he really is. I mean, there must be a reason as to why he is acting that way." I said, but they all just shrugged shoulders.

"He doesn't even have friends here, so what's the point of talking about him?"

"That's the main point here! He doesn't have friends, that's why nobody understands why he is like that." I explained, making them silent. "Don't worry about that. Now that i'm here, I will try to make him talk about it." I said, making them all surprised. "Why do you look like someone who doesn't even agree with me?"

"Cause, that sounds impossible?" Mye said and if our faces will be like that of an anime. It will look like a funny one, that has a dotted eyes and a flatten mouth or maybe this'll (😶) do?

"I don't know if that plan of yours will work? But i'm gonna wish you goodluck with it." Rose said and patted me at the shoulder. I just smiled at her.

After how many minutes of talking, I got sleepy and looked at the time. It's already nighttime?! How many hours have we been here sitting then?! Why haven't I noticed the sun setting?! Weird~

"I am feeling a bit sleepy now guys. How about you?" I yawned while asking, and that made them return the favor.

"Yeah, me too... I haven't noticed it." Mye said and stand up.

"Let's call it a night then." Guinevere said while covering her yawning mouth. We then walked towards out rooms.

"Good night everyone. Sweet dreams." Rose said before we enter completely. We also answered back before closing our doors and go to bed.

I laid down, my eyes still open. I thought about Traceler. Is he still awake? What is he doing right now then? Why is he like that to me earlier?

I tried to think of an answer, but my head just started to hurt, making me wash it away and tried to sleep. But as I was about to fall under a deep slumber, I felt something or someone looking at me secretly, somewhere. So I sat down and looked around. I saw no one. I felt a little bit of goosebumps all over me, but I tried to knock it off.

So how did I even managed to feel something uneasy? That was a part of my training when I got blind. Oracle Ban told me that even if I couldn't move, I can still put myself to training, and that is what I did. It's actually pretty cool that I started to make use of it now. The negative side? I am feeling paranoid in some point.

After all, this isn't the very first time I felt something like this. Back at Oracle Ban's house, I can also sense another presence every night before I go to sleep. I just didn't mind it, until that night where he revealed himself. Just a wrong timing he made, I couldn't even see him.
