"Why the hell would you do that to her Fred? You know how hard she's tried to stop that, now you've probably set her back!" George shouted as his brother finally woke up. I listened from around the corner, the smell of blood still finding my nose.
"I don't know, when i started something took over and i couldn't stop"
"Even when i told you to? Because you sounded pretty sure of what you were doing"
I shook my head slightly and went to the great hall to try to block out the smell of blood.
I sat down with a frown and still shaking a bit. "Hey where were you?"
I didn't answer, just sat there frowning. "Is something wrong?"
"Can you hold my wrist?"
"Pardon?"
"Can you hold my wrist? So i don't go toward the blood, the human blood"
He frowned at me before i felt a warm grip around my wrist. "Thanks" I looked down and then up to Hagrid. He nodded when he saw that someone was keeping me held back and i looked back at the table.
"Silence!" Dumbledore shouted as he walked to his stand. The hall fell silent and they all turned their attention to him. "Please, all of you be careful. There has been an animal attack in the castle and one of our students have been bitten and seriously injured. Everyone, watch yourselves and where you go. Thank you"
I felt the grip loosen slightly and looked at Draco who was already frowning at me. "What did you do?" He whispered. "He tested me. He went too far"
"Who tested you? and you didn't answer me"
"I looked around the hall as students got up to go to the bathroom and stuff and looked at him again. "Come on" I nodded and grabbed his wrist instead.
I slowly went into the hospital wing to show Fred still pale and asleep again, and George sitting by him. "Kara. What are you doing here he still has blood on him?"
I lifted my hand to show Draco gripping my wrist. "He knows"
"Your mothers going to kill you"
"Nice one" I smiled faintly and walked over to the bed, George standing up with a frown.
I looked at the bandages and slowly undid them to show the bite in his shoulder. "How long was i drinking it?" I said as i looked at George. "About five minutes"
"I'm sorry"
"Kara it wasn't your fault. He shouldn't have gone that far"
"I did try. I tried to fight it but it hurt"
"I know. But you can't even go home now, there's too much that will stop the work you've put in to stop it"
"Ah" Draco grunted as he pulled his hand away from something. I looked forward at the smell, my breath growing slower. His scent grew stronger, nicer, harder to ignore. My head slowly turned to look at his hand and watch the blood drop down.
Everyone has a different scent. And all of them are hard to ignore, hard to not go after. But now Draco's was stronger, made me hungrier, made it hard not to see what his blood tasted like. "Go" I whispered, taking my arm away from his hand.
He frowned at me and walked out of the hall. "I'll be with hagrid" I muttered before going over to see him for help.
