9. Nightmare

I'd been in the hospital wing for a couple of days because of the vervain. I just laid on the bed in silence until Draco came in with the mark still on his neck.

"What did he mean?" He asked slowly as he sat down. "What?"

"He said people label things to show what belongs to them"

"Your name's the label"

"So?"

"So you figured out that i was a vampire all by yourself but you can't figure out this? I'm going to ask you the same question he did. Why do people label things?"

"To show what belongs to them?"

"Exactly, so why am i labelled with your name?"

"Because you... belong to me?"

"Ding, ding! we have a winner!"

"What does that mean?"

"It means that if i let you get killed or let you die your parents have the right to do as they please to hurt or kill me"

"That's horrible"

"That's what my parents chose to do to punish me. For life"

"What did you do?"

"I don't know"

"They punished you for no reason?"

"They always have a reason"

We sat in silence whilst he looked at his name tattooed on my wrist.

"Come here" I frowned, grabbing his shirt and pulling him closer. He frowned and stood next to the bed as i reached my hand up onto the bite on his neck. "Paraneda" i said before my hand heated up and the bite disappeared, once again leaving faint dots. "Give me your arms" I sighed. He did as i said and i repeated the spell there as well. "Anywhere else?"

"Shoulders"

I stared at him as he frowned at me. "Well come on then i can't heal them if i cant see them can i?"

He undid his shirt and showed his shoulders which i then healed. He went to do his shirt back up but i shopped him with a frown. I put my hand on the bite on his chest and mumbled the spell again, letting it heal. "There" I smiled at him and laid back down.

He did his shirt back up and he sat down. "Draco you don't have to stay"

"Why did you bite me so many times?"

"Hm?"

"All of the bites, why so many?"

"Because when the poison went in my mouth it got into your neck and i needed to get it out. Vervain is poison to us but its mixed with something to poison humans as well. Anyway, it was spread all around so i needed to get it out of everywhere"

"How strong are you?"

"I could rip your head off"

"How strong can you get?"

"I've knocked a tree over before, Thrown my dad across a room. I can't remember anything else"

"How did they make the pain stop?"

"They didn't. I'm just good at hiding it-"

"Kara are you ok?" The twins said as they walked in. "Yeah i'm fine. Just a little vervain is all"

"When- how uh?"

"I still had a hole in my stomach so he took me in the woods to feed and the poison got in him so i had to get it out or he'd die, so i did"

"Did you get any blood?"

"No because i didn't tell them what i am"

"Do you want some?"

"No i want to be pain" I snapped. "Jeez" Fred frowned before holding his arm out.

I took it and bit into it, the pain leaving bit by bit.

"Thanks" I said as i got up and wiped my chin. "Oh for fuck sake Kara stay in bed"

"No i'm fine"

"You were here for three days!"

"I'm fine!"

"Actually i'm not even going to try to argue with you"

"Good. What month is it?"

"June"

"Ok cool"

The twins left shaking their heads and i turned to Draco. "Do you want to come to my house for a couple of days? My family want to meet you for some kind of creepy reason"

"Uh, Ok..."

"You don't have to, my family just want to see who they chose"

"No seriously, ok" He shrugged. "Ok".

' (Dream)

"What's she doing here?" Harry asked as he stood beside Ron.

"They took her because she's important to a certain someone. He's important to her too but neither of them will admit it" Luna said.

I looked at them and rolled my eyes. "Well how has she been eating?"

"She gets food every week. Draco has to come down to check we're all still here and- well, you'll see. 3, 2, 1"

Draco walked in the door with a frown. "Right on time, Draco" Luna smiled. He just frowned at her and looked at me as i sat in the corner.

"Only a bit" He frowned at me before rolling up his sleeve and walking over.

I reached for his top button to show his shoulder and he grabbed my hand. "No Kara, my arm"

"But i don't get enough from your arm"

"Come on Draco, it wont hurt just this once" Luna added as everyone watched.

He looked down at me and let go of my hand. "Fine".

I went for his button again and he shook his head. "Here" He pointed just above his collar. "Draco that's going to hurt"

"So?"

I smiled and reached my hand behind his neck, i felt his hands on my hips as i pulled him down slightly before digging my fangs into his neck. He gave a loud gasp as my fangs and teeth dug in and his grip on my hips increased.

I twirled around, pinning him against the wall making him grunt as i fed. "Do you have to watch?" Draco snapped at the others. "Does that not hurt?" Ron frowned. "no i got used to it after a while"

"How long as she been doing it?"

"Four years"

"How haven't you ran out yet?"

"She does this weird thing after which fixes my skin and regenerates my blood- Stop biting so hard"

"You try not eating for a week and see how you feel!" I snapped before doing my little spell and wiping the blood off of my face.

"Kara you're just lucky i'm even letting you feed"

"Here we go again" Luna sighed. "What do you mean?" I snapped.

"Because you lied. For four years you lied about why you really have my initials on your wrist, why you really had to go to Hogwarts"

"For fuck sake not this again. I had to!" I growled in a slight whisper.

"Draco i wouldn't if i were you" Luna said. "Why! Why did you have to!"

"THEY WOULD HAVE KILLED YOU IF I SAID NO!" I shouted before throwing him at a wall. "I left my family for you! I lost everything I had For you. Everything I did was for you, to make sure YOU were fucking safe! I lost Jamie, my best best friend and favorite brother, the only family member who actually gave me a choice. ALL FOR YOU! So if you can't get over a little lie then fuck you Draco Malfoy"

"Little! That lie was far from little Kara"

"I still lost everything for you. I ran away from my family to keep you safe because the reason they wanted to meet you was to kill you!" I looked at him as he sat up.

"Why! Why did you do all that?! You didn't need to!"

"BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT YOU! And I don't know why because I have never felt like this about anyone! I've never wanted to keep someone alive because I care this much. But I fucking care about you"

I rubbed my eyes with a frown. "I may have lied about my stupid little task but I've been stalling for almost two years now. Do you know how long I've got left until my deadline?"

He frowned, still on the floor from the impact he took to the wall. "I've been stalling for two years but I have a matter of weeks left"

"What does she mean?" Harry frowned. "Her deadline. The day of dying a slow and painful death starts" Ron sighed.

I walked up to him and grabbed his neck, lifting him from the ground to my height and my face being only inches from his. "But I wish you weren't my strongest scent so i could drain every last drop of blood from you"

He clawed at my hand as i blocked his air. The vervain was then released and i felt a sharp pain in my stomach before i let go coughing.

He got up with a frown as the others stood with wide eyes. I looked down to see a stake sticking out of my stomach and frowned at him as i stood back. "You didn't come down here to let me feed?" I said almost in tears. My knees giving out before i hit the ground. "This time, I had to" he growled.

I tried to pull the stake out but my hand was instantly burnt, making me pull my hand away. "Yo- ou cu- rsed it?"

"Let me try" Luna frowned. She pulled her hand away when she got burnt and looked at him. "Only i can take it out. I'm sorry" He frowned, walking out when the screams started.

(End of dream)

I shot out of my sleep sweating. "The fuck?" I muttered, looking around to make sure i didn't wake anyone. I got up and snuck out of the window.

When i went into the forest i frowned when i saw Luna. "Hey Luna?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you ever had a dream that's come true?"

"Yes, why?"

"I just had one and i came out for fresh air. But since you're here could we talk about it?"

"Of course, What's worrying you about it?"

"I think Draco has to kill me"
