Chapter 1.5 Trial

The scene is shocking...What do I do? How do I deal with this? I see a blood trail leading to the shower.

"Open it, Riku, please.", she says calmly

I opened the door to it, and the curtain.

"AHHHH!", I scream

Miu's body was in a sit position and with a knife in her stomach her face was in terror. I looked around and saw blood with the letters "HM" behind her. I look over at Kouki. Tears starts rolling down her face.

"M-M-Mui?", she whimpers

She hits the floor. I run out of the room to find everybody else. I ran into Aoi.

"What's wrong?", she asked

"F-Follow me please.", I answer with tears rolling down my face.

I ran to Mui's room. Aoi followed me. Aoi screamed when she saw the body.The TV starts making a new sound.

"A body has been discovered!?", Monotaro says " You guys have a certain amount of time to investigate and then the Trial will begin! Also it is in Miu's room!"

The TV turned off. Everyone ran to the room.

"Oh my goodness.", Levi says

"Miu?", Luna says

"Wow! Who murdered?", Yui asked

"Could be anybody.", I answer

"Let's Investigate!", Ava says

"Let's split into groups of two",Kouki says

Ava and Luna, Me and Tsumigi, Kouki and Haruto, Levi and Hamari, Sakaura and Jack, Aoi and Riko, Leo and Aria, and Yui goes by herself.Me and Tsumigi went to the Aria's lab to find the tool.

"Anything?", She asked

"Yeah.", I answer while i pull up a weapon.

"A-A sharp pen?", she asked

"Yes.", I answer "It has blood on it."

Tsumigi pulls out her notebook and writes it down.

"Let's go explore the scene.", I say

"On it", she replies

We walk back into the room and see Kouki.

"Any evidence?", I ask

"Yeah.", she answers"There is a stab in the right wrist, and left leg"

"Like pen size right?", i ask

"Precisely", she answers

Tsumigi starts writing. I look at the two letters "HM".

"High Maintenance?", I ask

"I don't know", she answers

I walk around the room. I found a notebook that has some songs in it. "High Maintenance" was the name. I read the first lyric. "He puts me up in strings. Grab me tight before I let loose. Never let me leave. I will in an instant."

"Tsumigi!", I shout

She runs over to me.

"Yeah?", she asks

"Write this down.", I answer while handing the notebook to her.

"HM?", Kouki says

"A song name", I add

"Or the Killers name?", Tsumigi adds

"Do we have anyone with the Initials "HM"?", she asked

"Haruto Miki!", I answer

"Ultimate?", Kouki asks

"Don't know", I answer

"Go ask him, please", Kouki adds

"Got it!Tsumigi come with, please.", i say

Me and Tsumigi go find Haruto in the Cafe looking for tools.

"Why would there be clues in the Cafe?", I ask

"Investigating where they got the knife from.", he answers

"Aren't you suppose to help Kouki?", Tsumigi asks

"Not my problem", he answers while snagging a piece of bread

I slam my hand on the table.

"What were you doing last night?", I ask

"Hanging out in the Cafe.", he answers

"Why?", Tsumigi asks

"I was hungry from rocking out.", he answers

"Ultimate Rock star?", i ask

"Right on the dot detective.", he says with a smirk

Tsumigi wrote everything down. We left. We went back to Kouki.

"Any info?", she asked

"Yes!", Tsumigi says

Tsumigi hands the notebook to her.

"Ultimate Rock Star, Was in the Cafe,and was looking where the knife came from.", she reads aloud

"Isn't the Cafe closed during nighttime?", I ask

"Yeah", Tsumigi says

"So why was he in the Cafe?", Kouki asked

"Also looking for the Knife origins means he didn't wash it off and put it back", i add

"He said he was hungry after rocking out", Tsumigi answers

"So I think his alibi is full of holes.", I say

"Precisely.", Kouki replies

"I'll get some info from the other groups.", I say

"I'm going with", Tsumigi asks

We walk out of the room. Tsumigi looks at me

"You know what?", Tsumigi says

"What?", i ask

"I like hanging out with you.", she answers

She grabs my hand. My face starts to go red.

"We will escape together!", she says proudly

"Okay", i answer

We walked into the Library. We saw Jack, and Sakaura.

"Hey guys", I shout

"Hey!", Jack responds

Sakaura looks terrified.

"Can we ask some questions to see where you were last night?", Tsumigi asked

"Sure!", Jack answers

"I-I guess", Sakaura replies

"Are you hiding something, Sakaura?", I ask

"N-No!",Sakaura says in fear

"Did you see something last night?", Tsumigi asks

"Y-Yeah.", she answers with a sigh

Tsumigi gives me a notebook to write Jack's info down so she can ask Sakaura

"Where were you last night of the murder,Jack", I ask

"In my room laying down.", she responded

"Okay", i replied "Did you leave at all?"

"Nope.", she replied

"Okay thank you!", I said

"Your welcome.", she added

I went to check on Sakaura.

"How is she?", I ask

"She's good.", Tsumigi answers

"Let's head back to Kouki.", I said

We returned to Kouki after asking more people on what happened.

"We ask ev-", i said before being interrupted

The TV made a noise

"Time for the Trial!", it said "Go to the middle of the school and pressed the button"

We left and pressed the button. It had doors wrap around us. It was like an elevator. This close fills this elevator with Fear, and Despair. Who did it? Why? A murder? Why Miu? We landed into some type of court room with places in a circle. We found our spots and stood there. Ava was standing by Miu's picture.

"Now an explanation of the trial!", Monotaro says "You guys will try to find out who it is, If right the killer dies... if wrong everyone dies but the killer. Have fun!!"

"So lets start.", Kouki says

"It murder happened last night at 2:00 am.", Tsumigi says

"That's late.",Levi says

"Why would someone by up that late?", Luna asked

"Who cares.", Haruto replies

"The person who was up that late had the motive to escape what was it?"

What was it?

"It was the Video!", I said

"Your right!", Ava said

"Also at the scene was "HM"", Kouki adds

"What does that mean?",Sakura asked

"A song Miu wrote.", Tsumigi answered

"High Maintenance.", I added

"Or the Killer", Kouki replies

"Where did the Knife come from?", Yui asked

"The Kitchen", I respond

"Isn't the Cafe closed around that time?", Aoi asked

"Correct, but Haruto was able to get in...somehow", I answered

"The door lock looked like it was picked.", Tsumigi adds

"That's how he got in", Kouki adds

"T-The door was already unlocked!!", Haruto says

"What happened to her legs?", Aria asked

"Stabbed in the Left leg and right arm", Kouki said

"With what?", Levi asked

"A pen.", i add

"So was it self defense turned against her?", Aoi asked

"Has to be, Aoi.", Riko responds

"Who is a suspect?", Riko asked

"Haruto, Sakaura, Levi, and Leo", Kouki responds

"Most of the alibis are pretty solid...,but one had many holes in it", I add

"Haruto's", Leo says

"Why mine?", he asked

"How was the door unlocked when the door is locked at nighttime?", Kouki asked

Haruto starts sweating.
