Natasha gave Dio a confused look as the girl looked normal! Steve, who was watching the interaction from the Quinjet all along was confused on how such a lovely girl could be associated with Dio!
"She doesn't have a lot of friend and her family is very strict on her too! I will explain her situation later!" Dio said with a smile to Natasha.
Natasha just shook her head and turned her attention back to Ruzie. She immediately smiled to Ruzie as she didn't want to put pressure on such an innocent looking girl. She was reminded of her own childhood as she saw Ruzie fidgeted shyly beside Dio.
She then invited Dio and Ruzie into the Quinjet and returned to the Avenger Base.
"Does she want to become my friend?" Ruzie asked Dio as she didn't understand Natasha's smile earlier.
"Making friend isn't as easy as you think! You must first get to know each other for a while and get along well. Talks things through and slowly close the distance between you two, then you will eventually become friends! Asking right away if she wants to be your friend isn't a good way to start, you know?" Dio said calmly. He knew that he couldn't get angry at Ruzie's question as the girl didn't have any social experience before.
"Making friends is such a complicated thing!" Ruzie said thoughtfully.
Her statement was true as true friend is precious! As for those that gnawed at you slowly, they just people that tarnished the meaning of friend.
Because of this, Dio remembered that her father once told him that a man wouldn't be a failure on his life if he could make a true friend! At that time, he didn't really understand what his father meant by that word, but now, he could say with confidence that he understood it clearly!
He didn't need to have a lot of friend. In fact, one person was enough! If you had more than one person that you could call a true friend, then you were a very successful person in life! At the very least, you were socially successful!
No matter how much money you have, if you didn't have any friend to share your everyday life with, then you were no better than a loser! No matter how bright and vibrant your life was, it wouldn't be able to hide your lonely heart.
Dio could say for sure that he was a complete loser in his last life before coming to this world! He didn't have many friend, but he didn't have any wealth to speak of either! He was just alone and miserable! This was the moment when he understood what his father meant back then!
That was when he decided that he had to sever all toxic connections he had with everyone he knew back then and even sue them for a little of his money that they borrowed without any proper goodwill to pay him back. His reputation quickly drowned as everyone that he embarrassed to pay back his money began to retaliate!
They attacked him in the alley way and even began to make his job a living hell until he lost his job altogether. But even then, Dio didn't think everything he did was wrong! Because some people felt so good about themselves even in the toughest situation.
Dio felt free as he didn't have to think about those people who called themselves his friend anymore! This was the reason why Dio had such an extreme personality after coming to this world.
"Dio? Is something wrong?" Ruzie asked as she was confused that Dio suddenly fell silent. Dio snapped from from his daydream and rubbed his face subconsciously as he recollected himself.
"I am fine, just remembering about some awful memories! Let's go! I will teach you how to befriend people later, but you must remember that some people aren't worthy to befriended with!" Dio said solemnly.
Ruzie just nodded ignorantly as she didn't seem to understand what Dio was saying. Nevertheless, her evaluation of Dio's character was still the same, and therefore she trusted everything that Dio said.
Natasha immediately buckled herself and the Quinjet immediately took off. Steve stood near the door and waited for Dio to say something as he wanted to know what was going on.
"Don't use your Ad. Pierian etiquette around here and instead learn the culture and custom from the scratch! Remember, behave yourself as it's easy to cause misunderstanding around here." Dio said to Ruzie before looking ahead once more.
"Alright, I happen to be a quick learner!" Ruzie said as she nodded enthusiastically.
What Dio said was indeed the truth! The Earth wasn't a place that could greet another alien race with a smile right now as they never encountered a good alien up until now! The Asgardians were different as they were already being praised as a god on Earth, but the alien that came to Earth recently were all dangerous and aggressive!
"What happened out there, Dio? How is everything going?" Steve asked as he couldn't stand being ignored anymore. Although he didn't approve of Dio's action in the past, he didn't have any reason to hate Dio completely either.
