Verona was left with a dilemma. Should he take the girl's side? Evelyn had killed many and it was possible that even after today she would continue to kill.

But alas! Verona's compassionate nature surfaced up causing her to rethink the situation.

Verona believed that if Klautz let Evelyn die here, his hands would be left empty. He wouldn't be able to accomplish what he had set out to do.

But Klautz wasn't much bothered by it since he had already a plan B prepared for an outcome like this. Had Verona known about this she wouldn't have argued with him at all! For better or worse she knew what Klautz was doing was right.

Klautz would get plenty of chances to get what he wants to even if the girl dies in these lands.
