[Name: Kevin]
[Cultivation: Human stage 1]
[Skills: Ressurection of the dead, Ability sharing]
[Servants: 0/1]
"What kind of mess did I get myself into?" blurted out Kevin, placing his hand on his head. Only one day in this world and already a strange phenomenon happened.
"I clearly tapped decline... this is just a hoax...." Kevin said, glancing at the moving screen. Somehow, after getting this "system", the screen follows him around as if glued.
"This is getting annoying," Kevin pouted as he punched forward.
But contrary to the expectations, his hand went through without doing any damage. He was knocked off balance, falling forward, and crashing against the floor.
"Did I just lose to an innocuous screen?" Kevin chuckled lightly at his own patheticness.
"Hey, system or whatever you are"
"System?"
"Screen?"
Kevin cleared his throat, trying to figure out what this floating screen was for. As Kevin understands it, it just shows his power level and abilities.
But what he doesn't understand, what are these [Ressurection of the Dead] and [Ability Sharing]?
Kevin never had any divine powers or any talent, so how come he has abilities.
"Maybe I should press it?"
Kevin decided to approach the bluish screen extending his hand forward. He tapped on the skills and immediately a change occurred.
Various letters began to appear until eventually, a phrase popped up:
****
[Ressurection of the dead: a skill that allows the host to resurrect a person from death making them a part of the host's army]
[Note: 1. This skill can only be used on someone the host has killed or participated in the killing]
[2. This skill can't be used on someone who is 5 small realms higher]
****
[Ability sharing: Lets the host use the god power of one of the servants]
[Note: Host can only use the powers of one servant at a time for 30 minutes]
[Cooldown: 2 minutes]
****
"This...."
Kevin never expected these abilities to be so good, to create an army of his own? To be able to use the divine powers of his servants? How cool is that?
It's incredible, no one has ever heard of such a thing and now Kevin has it.
The corners of his mouth curled as his expression brightened.
"Good thing the system didn't listen to me and accepted it by default," Kevin breathed a sigh of relief as he rummaged through his memories once again. So many things had happened in those few days it was hard to believe.
"With this, I might even be able to fight those monsters," Kevin said with determination and slight anger on his face.
His parents died when he was just 5 years old. They were ambushed by an army of demons leaving no possibility of retreat. It was an unfortunate loss to humanity because they were strong, very strong.
Of course, they were remembered as heroes, even a monument was built especially for them, but no one cared about their child.
Kevin wasn't angry at the humans for abandoning him, after all the time is hard and cruel, but Kevin still wanted to repay the monster for killing his parents.
Kevin's character changed drastically from then on. Although his dreams were respectable, they were impossible to achieve without considerable power.
Therefore, he became an introvert, the only person he ever opened up to was his girlfriend Sophia.
However, their relationship didn't help him make new friends, instead, it actually got worse.
No one liked the fact that the school goddess was hanging out with someone as puny as Kevin.
Even Sophia's own parents were against their relationship, but she didn't listen to them.
Kevin was so grateful to her that he vowed to protect her at all costs.
"At least I wasn't reborn into some psychopath," he groaned, closing his eyes for some peace.
Tomorrow was the first day of school for him. Rest, after all, is a must.

/Pov- Sophia/
How come Kevin isn't in school yet? He's never been late before.
Is it because I slapped him too hard... but it was his own fault...?
But after the slap he seems different, maybe I beat some maturity into him?
It would be nice if he finally changed, the graduation test is soon, he can't always hide behind my back.
Maybe I should save up some money and buy him a soul crystal...
I got lost in my thoughts and focused on the wall, I didn't even notice a shadow appear in front of me.
"Good morning, Sophia," the person spoke in a sweet tone.
I turned my head and saw Kevin standing casually in front of me.
But something felt out of place ... he seemed confident....too confident.
"Hello, Kevin," I replied with a smile while adding, "You seem different today."
"Haha...it's probably the new clothes," he spoke as the corners of his mouth curled up, looking at his dark sweatshirt that matched his pants.
He really is different than before....I hope it's for the better.
"Alright, let's go in"
/Pov- End/
Sophia and Kevin developed a habit over time of meeting at the school gate and only then going inside.
'That's probably because I used to be a loner,' Kevin thought, looking around the inside of the school. Although he had memories of the current time, it was still fascinating to see the change with his own eyes.
They were currently in Japan, one of the lands humanity managed to fight back. Though many lives were sacrificed to do so.
Sophia and Kevin walked fastly because he was a bit late ... Kevin isn't the best when it comes to directions.
As soon as they walked in, everyone's eyes were on them. Kevin saw many piercing looks directed at him, but it didn't bother him.
Kevin casually walked on and sat down in the back next to a good-looking golden-haired boy.
His name was Martin, no doubt the prince of this class, his gentle features combined with a beautiful personality and eyes full of confidence made him really stand out.
He was also the only person Kevin had a good relationship with.
Well, most of the time they just ignored each other, but for Kevin that was good enough.
"Morning," Kevin said, pulling a small notebook out of his backpack.
Martin looked at Kevin strangely, he hadn't expected to be greeted by him. The others also gave Kevin skeptical looks, but they were interrupted by the teacher walking into the class.
Everyone took their seats not wanting to annoy the instructor. Sophia sat in the front, occasionally casting a few glances in Kevin's direction.
The seats in the class were randomly assigned at the beginning of the year, so they couldn't sit next to each other.
Their teacher seemed quite young - mid-thirties at most. He had well parted brown hair which he kept neat and tidy. He was quite thin, but by no means out of shape.
"Good morning everyone," the teacher spoke as he pulled out small chalk, "Today we're going to talk about how to improve your strength."
Kevin picked up a small pencil, very interested in the subject.
"As you already know, some people in this world can awaken their god powers, usually it happens at birth, but there can be exceptions"
"Of course, people with god powers can have a smoother, easier start on the path of cultivation, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are stronger"
"Every person in this world can cultivate and improve their power to an unimaginable degree. There are two ways to cultivate: The first is by simply training hard, because as you train, mana in the air goes into your body, but do keep in my mind that talent is a must. The other way is by absorbing soul crystals that can be displaced from the beast's body. This way is a much easier and faster way to improve, it also doesn't need any talent, but again there is a big minus. Soul crystals are very expensive because they are dangerous to obtain"
"Humanity has also created a power tiering system:
Human(1-9); Superhuman(1-9); Urban(1-9); there are a few more, but you don't need to know them now"
"Any questions?" the teacher asked, finally taking a deep breath after such an explanation.
Since this was basic knowledge, no one was that interested and just quietly chatted.
Kevin once again realized how grave his situation was... No talent to cultivate and no parents who could buy a soul crystal, but fortunately, it was different now.
He has a system now.
"What tier are you, Teacher?" Sophia spoke up, causing everyone to stop their muttering as they too were interested in this matter.
"Good question Sophia, I'm currently on the third level of superhuman," he said proudly, adding, "But don't worry, I'm sure some of you will pass me soon."
The classmates knew he was referring to Sophia, who was already at the fifth level of human, and Martin, who was at the fourth.
'Did she slap me so hard that even the soul left this body?" thought Kevin, casting a fearful glance towards Sophia.
"Alright, if you don't have any more questions, let's move towards the arena."
Everyone was immediately excited as it was the test of their fighting skills and some free time. Even Martin and Sophia were no exception.
'Combat training,' Kevin thought as determination rose in his eyes.
