Red rays of sunlight fell on the hospital, making the atmosphere around it turn calm.
In one of the hospital's rooms, Kevin lay on the bed wrapped in a soft blanket while looking at the ceiling with a complicated expression on his face.
'I overestimated my abilities,' Kevin thought as his gaze sharpened, 'Still, what was that power coming from the Titan's body? It certainly didn't seem like god's power'
However, a sudden noise of the door snapped Kevin out of his thoughts.
"Oh, you're up already, loser?" said Kate in a haughty tone.
"Shut up, you barbarian," Kevin countered while turning his head away, "Leave me alone"
"What did you just call me?" an intense killing intent spread from her.
Kevin just smiled wryly and hid under the covers to get away from this annoying woman. He was exhausted from the fight and didn't even have enough strength to continue the conversation.
"Anyway, you at least put up some fight, even managing to force the Titan to open his pores," Kate exacted, "I would never guess you had dual god's power, after all, you look so weak."
"What are pores?" Kevin pushed the cover aside as he was quite interested in this topic.
"Oh, you don't know? Well, let's just say it's something you can do when you reach the level of superhuman"
'Superhuman ... Does that mean I'll be able to use that power too?" wondered Kevin before saying:
"If Titan is the superhuman level, then what is he doing here? Shouldn't he be on the frontlines?"
"Oh well, Brother Titan came back to pack his things, so he just went to the tower to check out the rookies," Kate answered while moving towards the window to enjoy the view.
"What do you mean by[brother]?" Kevin asked while staring at Kate's soft face bathed in bright light.
"Oh, don't get me wrong, he's not my blood brother, but he's mine and Clive's dear friend. We met him in the arena when we were younger and quickly became buddies, but later that fool disappeared only reappearing now" she replied with a few wrinkles on her forehead.
Kevin wanted to ask a few more questions about this gigantic monster, however, a sudden realization struck down his spine at the sight of the red sunset.
"Kate, how long was I unconscious?"
"Hmmm....maybe three hours"
Kevin's expression instantly paled as he faltered.
"Where's my phone? I need it FAST"
"Oh...you're talking about this" Kate rejoiced while taking something out of her pocket, but instead of handing the phone back, she started jingling it, "Are you worried about your princess, perhaps?"
"What have you done?" Kevin cautioned, already guessing what things she might have done while he was passed out. Worst case scenario, Sophia would kill him the next time they met.
"Hahaha, don't worry, I'm not that evil to destroy your relationships," she said, tossing the phone back to its original owner, "I just answered her not to worry, but, damn, your girl really loves to spam."
Kevin ignored her statement and opened the chat. Thankfully everything seemed normal with Sophia not freaking out.
"Alright, I'm off then, loser," Kate said as she turned to leave, "Oh, take a look under the bed, Titan has left you a present"
'A gift?" thought Kevin, following the walking Kate with his eyes.
Kevin didn't mess around and ducked down to take a look at the so-called "present".
The first thing he saw was his overpriced gear and white mask. However, underneath it was also an unfamiliar backpack that gave off an uncomfortable feeling.
Kevin immediately opened it in excitement already predicting the insides. He can't lie, it wasn't disappointing. In the center of the backpack was a familiar purple ore that glowed brightly, bathing the entire room in dim light.
A smile curled on Kevin's face as he clutched the crystal.
'Bless you, Titan,' Kevin thought before inspecting it once more.
The quality of the crystal was as promised, the fourth level. For someone like Kevin, this ore wouldn't be much help, after all, he is already at the third stage of human and is about to break through to the fourth.
The reason he wanted this ore in the first place was because he had a crazy idea that might give him an immense power-up and more solid progression, or just be a waste of time.
"Wolf," Kevin stated in an imperious tone while the dark creature rose from the ground, still appearing to be angry from the last fight.
"Calm down Wolf, you did good," Kevin assured his servant with a smile, "Now eat this."
Kevin tossed the sparkling purple ore to his servant, forcing him to catch it with his hands. Wolf looked at the crystal in confusion, but suddenly a slight feeling of hunger overwhelmed him.
Ever since he had turned into Kevin's servant, he no longer needed to eat, and that made his life much easier. However, now, at the sight of this ore, his natural beast instincts overcame his own.
Kevin looked at this scene with delight.
Beasts were different from humans.
To advance their levels, they had to eat the cores of other beasts and perhaps even have hope of evolution.
If Kevin's guess is correct, his servant should also be able to get stronger by eating the ores.
*Munch*
*Munch*
The sound of chewing echoed through the place as Wolf began to devour the ore like a midnight snack.
After only a few minutes, the generous titan's "gift" was already in the belly of the beast, who lay on the ground with puppy eyes.
For some reason, Kevin felt a slight headache growing stronger by the second.
'Is this the side effect?' thought Kevin, before dissolving the beast, hoping to reduce the discomfort.
However, the pain only got more severe, so Kevin decided to take another day's nap to alleviate the suffering.
Of course, he typed [Goodnight] to Sophia as to not wake up with thousand of missed calls.

"Titan, are you leaving already?" Clive scratched the back of his head with a smile, "I missed you, bro".
"Sorry, I don't have time for fun, I should have been at the front by now" Titan replied, placing his hand on Clive's shoulder "I'll wait for you both at the army"
Clive wryly nodded while Kate on the other hand blushed with anger as she hissed loudly:
"Titan, you disappeared for a year and now you're leaving again? At least tell us where you've been"
"I've been strengthening myself" Titan muttered resolutely as he turned around "Goodbye you two, report my departure to Kevin as well"
"Report? This isn't the army, blockhead" Kate snorted loudly.
"Anyway, good luck to you, don't die, even though it's probably impossible to kill you"
The titan said nothing more and simply walked away, drawing stares from the residents with his incredible height.
Soon he couldn't even be seen nearby, causing Clive to exhale deeply "We need to get stronger fast so we can fight on par with Titan again"
"No, I never want to meet this blockhead again" Kate turned away as her cheeks flushed, "No one wants to meet this stupid giant"
However, Clive knew that she just didn't like the fact that he is leaving. Deep in her heart, she can't wait to join the army.
