Amidst the myriads of huge trees and leaves that reflected the rays of moonlight, a dark figure could be seen running at full speed while looking around in search of prey.
"I have 5 free slots and considering the first creature I saw was Judo, the others shouldn't be any weaker either," Kevin said mentally, proceeding to examine the surroundings.
The fact that he will be able to obtain five more servants which would be presumably at the strength of Judo already made him excited.
"I'll definitely hunt down some useful ones today," Kevin muttered before summoning all of his servants and spreading them out around the perimeter.
The only one who didn't oblige was Judo, as Kevin wanted to play with fire today. Although there is a risk of being noticed by the surrounding beasts when using flames, that is exactly what Kevin was aiming for.
'Well, let's begin' Kevin smiled inwardly as he created a small fireball in his hand and shot it towards the giant tree in the front. Even though the power behind the flames wasn't sufficient to truly injure someone, it still burnt fell.
Slowly, the darkness of the night faded and was replaced by the redness of the flames. The previously solid tree was slowly enveloped by the yellow sparks as its surface turned black.
The surrounding area was also gradually heating up, and even Kevin could feel sweat forming under his dark costume.
'I'm sure this will attract a lot of beasts,' Kevin thought, taking one last look at the burning tree and turning around. Without much thought, Kevin ducked to the ground and hid in the myriad of bushes.
Kevin purposefully shot at the largest tree in the area so that even the beasts from afar would notice this scene. It could be said that Kevin was just looking for death, but even if too many beasts appeared, Kevin wouldn't hesitate to retreat by using [Flying].
-
After only a few minutes of waiting, the first beast arrived.
It was what appeared to be a horse, with a similar shape to the ones Kevin saw before he died. The only difference was an eerie third eye in the middle of its forehead.
The beast charged in from the south side, scanning the area for intruders before turning its gaze to the burning tree. Kevin didn't manage to get a clear look at the horse's features because of being too far away from it.
Despite the distance, Kevin still felt a hint of danger coming from the beast's body. However, it wasn't as strong as the lion's before, so Kevin didn't really bother about it.
'Wolf, let's see you do this,' Kevin ordered in his mind.
Despite the fact that Wolf may not be stronger in cultivation than this beast, Kevin still believes in his servant. Not only because Wolf has the advantage of fighting at night, but also because of the fact that he is Kevin's first servant, making him the most trustworthy one.
Of course, Kevin could just attack himself, but even servants need to practice fighting, as it allows them to improve.
'I don't know if coming to this island is a blessing or a curse, but it will certainly make me stronger,' Kevin thought seeing a dark creature emerge from the myriad bushes.
The horse immediately turned its gaze towards the source of the noise, only to see a several times higher wolf standing there in a frenzy of blood.
The eyes of the two beasts met as neither of them moved. The air tensed as the tree continued to burn, creating an unpleasant noise.
Suddenly, Wolf charged forward as his body grew with each step he took. The horse didn't seem to be bothered by the abruptness of the Wolf as it calmly prepared to repel the attack. Or at least that's what the servant thought.
Before Wolf could close the distance with his large body, he felt a sudden pain in his chest, and before he realized it, his vision blurred. Without any turbulence, Wolf was defeated and dissolved into nothingness.
'Did he just shoot a laser out of his eye?' Kevin couldn't believe his eyes as he surged more mana, causing Wolf to reappear, 'Interesting.'
This time, Wolf already appeared in his god-powered form as he bellowed loudly in anger. Although he was a servant and only had inexplicable trust in his master, he also felt some jealousy towards other servants.
Wolf also wanted to prove his worth and it was just the right moment to show his power, yet he was killed in a few seconds. Constantly dying is not only unpleasant but frustrating.
'Wow, he's angry,' Kevin thought inwardly, feeling the immense rage brewing inside Wolf. Fortunately, Kevin wasn't affected by his servant's feelings or he would surely be destroying everything in rage already.
"ROAR!!!" Wolf roared loudly as he rained countless blows on his own chest in fury. On the other hand, the horse still couldn't grasp the current situation.
Not only had the enemy reappeared, but it also obliged more powerful than before?
Wolf once again rushed towards the enemy, this time prepared to dodge at any moment.
Red flight flared on the horse's forehead as another laser shot forward with incredible speed. Although Wolf had already anticipated this outcome, it still wasn't easy to dodge the attack.
Putting all the possible power into his legs, Wolf managed to shift his body to the side, yet the laser still landed on his hand, causing it to instantly dissolved into nothingness.
Not caring about the pain, Wolf wanted to rush forward once more, but the red laser surprisingly moved towards the servant without any restrictions.
Unprepared, the Wolf was once again eliminated by the red laser.
"This laser...it's not only powerful but also versatile," Kevin said excitedly.
The god power wielded by this beast might even be stronger than fire control in the initial stage. It can be used as a long-range offense, not only is it silent, but it also moves at high speed.
"However, every god power has its own weakness, and in this case, it's the beast's weak defense," Kevin muttered before summoning the Wolf again.
Kevin already noticed the panic in the horse's eyes after Wolf closed the distance, and it only carries one fact.
The beast is helpless in close range.
"ROAR!!!" another angry roar echoed through the area as Wolf's eyes collided with the enemy's. This time, the horse was already on the verge of deciding whether to retreat after noticing the beast's reappearance.
"NEIGHH!", a strange sound vibrated from the beast's mouth as it shot out its laser again. Wolf tried to dodge but failed repeatedly.
-
After dying at least ten times, the Wolf has finally reached the horse.
Shocked at its constant failure to kill this creature, the horse stood on its two heels as it strengthened its body.
When it reached a similar height as the dark wolf, the beast spread its heels forward trying to attack the enemy with all its remaining strength, yet it was a futile struggle.
The wolf grabbed both of the horse's knees and began to spread them in different directions.
"NEIGH!!!" The horse tried to shoot another laser towards Wolf, but before it could do so, Wolf bit into its throat as blood immediately began to pour out of the beast.
Covered in crimson blood, the Wolf didn't stop biting as he proceeded to rip off chunks of flesh from the horse's neck. The horse's vision finally blurred as the muscles of its body relaxed.
However, the servant did not stop tearing off pieces of meat, submerging the entire area in crimson blood. The visible anger and fury inside of Wolf's eyes would send shivers down even the powerhouses spines.
"Come on, Wolf, that's enough," Kevin stood from behind his servant as he placed his hand on his fur, "You have done well"
Wolf's eyes turned towards the master as all killing intent instantly disappeared, instead, it was filled with sorrow.
"Don't worry, Wolf, you will grow stronger in the future," Kevin assured as he looked his servant straight in the eyes. Wolf's expression relaxed, sensing the sincerity emanating from Kevin.
'The bond of emotions between servants and me is truly a helpful thing,' Kevin thought before turning his gaze to the horse's torn body.
"Obey, Osun" Kevin muttered excitedly as he pointed his hand at the dead body. Instantly, darkness flooded in from all sides, enveloping the ripped parts and piecing them together until the horse fully regained its body.
With his newfound body, Osun stood upright as he knelt on the ground. The entire body had long since ceased to resemble the original.
The former brown fur was thoroughly soaked in darkness, causing it to look somewhat devilish.
The only primary thing that remained unchanged was the third eye, which glimmered with redness.

"He's weaker than Wolf?" Kevin mumbled slightly, glancing towards the screen, stunned, "God power surely can boost your power immensely"

"This god power is strong, but considering how much mana it uses up... It might be too wasteful to use in a fight" Kevin patted Osun's head as he smiled, "But if you use it, there shouldn't be any problem"
"Alright...now for the current problem" Kevin turned around, surveying the whole area. The fire on the tree was already about to disappear, causing all the hidden beasts to finally show up from the darkness.
"I think I overdid it," Kevin chuckled lightly, seeing the numerous amount of various heads sticking out of the perimeter.
"Since you have come here to become my servants, I shall give you a quick death," an evil grin formed under Kevin's mask, "Come forth, my army."
