'Damn ... Laura' Kevin cursed inwardly as he dropped his blade to the floor, creating a soft pumping sound. Without another thought, Kevin rushed to the unconscious Laura, passing through the demon's dead body.
Although there was still a mystery behind the appearance of demons on this island, Kevin couldn't care less at the moment.
Kevin had to save Laura at all costs for several reasons. First of all, she is definitely a future powerhouse, and even if her current strength is not enough, she will grow firmer both mentally and physically in the future.
And secondly, the secret of her origin. She could be someone from a high-ranking family that would definitely drain the life out of Kevin if he came to the frontlines with bad news.
'I have to save her' Kevin stood directly above the prone Laura whose face was growing paler with each passing second. Two arrows were sticking out from behind her back, which seemed to have penetrated quite deeply.
Fortunately, Laura hadn't fallen on her back after fainting, or she would have been dead already, with two arrows piercing her organs.
'Come on Kevin, remember the first aid you were taught when you were younger,' Kevin rummaged through his memories, trying to find a less dangerous way to deal with this situation.
'Well, since it's an arrow, the process shouldn't be any different than removing the bullets' Kevin tapped his bracelet, forcing the costume to pull back from his body as his casual black shirt and pants were revealed.
Kevin ripped his t-shirt down the middle, exposing a heavily sculpted figure underneath. Many different scars could be seen scattered across Kevin's body, some of them even extending a few inches.
"Hold on," Kevin grabbed the t-shirt as he lifted Laura slightly off the ground. Slowly, Kevin placed the piece of cotton on her shoulder and began to pull out the arrow.
Although Laura's expression only worsened, Kevin continued to pull it out. The arrow could be filled with bacteria, or in the worst-case scenario, poison, and it needed to be pulled out before the infection spread further through the body.
"Hunt a rabbit," Kevin ordered the servants behind, who immediately moved towards the exit as he proceeded with the aid.
More and more blood could be seen trickling from the wounds, as Kevin's t-shirt was already soaked in blood.
'In normal cases, she would have been dead already, but luckily, she's at the superhuman level and her immune system is many times stronger than a normal human's,' Kevin thought as he replaced the piece of cotton with the dry one.
After some time, the arrow was finally pulled out as blood began to make its way out of the wound with immeasurable speed. Kevin promptly applied the garment, trying not to get any air in the wound while side-glancing towards the edge of the arrow.
Though the entire arrow was stained red, a slight hint of green could still be seen mixed in.
"As I thought, there's poison" Kevin carefully placed the arrow on the ground before returning his gaze to the pale Laura.
Stretching the t-shirt further, Kevin tenderly circled it around Laura's shoulder until connecting the edges of the clothing. After finishing up the first wound, Kevin concentrated on the second one.
Although the other arrow had hit a more vital area, the depth of penetration was not enough to damage any life-threatening organs.
Repeating the same actions as before, Kevin was done in a matter of minutes. However, even after he removed both arrows, Laura's expression only worsened.
It was pretty normal considering the lethal amount of blood loss. However, what worried Kevin was the constant shrinking of Laura's pupils, indicating that the poison wasn't that weak.
In the current situation, there was no way to remove the poison from Laura's body. The arrow had penetrated too deeply to be removed manually, and it had been in her body for too long to stop spreading.
The only thing Kevin could do was mentally cheer her up and check the symptoms of the poison on the rabbit that was already brought by Hulu a few moments ago.
Without any mercy, Kevin pierced the rabbit's stomach with the arrow and watched its reaction carefully.
Due to its small size, the poison spread throughout the rabbit's body in seconds. Fortunately, the infection only paralyzed the rabbit and made its eyelids shrink, but it didn't seem to be life-threatening.
'He's still breathing,' Kevin thought before placing the rabbit on the ground and returning his gaze to Laura, who lay pale in Kevin's arms.
"I have done everything I possibly could, now it's up to you whether you stay alive or not," Kevin tapped the white bracelet on her wrist as the metallic clothing instantly enveloped her.
Although the surface of the white clothing was cold, the temperature inside would rise after a while, keeping the body warm.
Kevin placed the woman against the wall of the tree before standing up and taking one last look at her. Although a mask covered Laura's entire face, the green eyes could still be seen through the holes.
Kevin wanted to get a glimpse of what was hiding under the mask, but after thinking for some time, he decided not to follow his desires.
Since Laura wanted to keep it private, Kevin wouldn't care either unless Laura herself showed her face.
"Guard her" Kevin ordered the dark lion, who nodded in response and took a seat right next to her.
'Now for the problem at hand,' Kevin thought, letting his gaze wander to the mangled bodies of the three demons. With steady steps, Kevin moved towards the slashed armored demon.
'Now that I think about it...none of them were all that strong, so how did they defeat Laura? A sneak attack?' Kevin's thoughts clouded over, 'Still, the poison shouldn't have activated immediately and Laura definitely had enough time to fight back'
After some time, Kevin decided to let all the useless thoughts go and focus on the current problem.
"What a filthy creature" Kevin ducked to the ground as he placed his hand on the purple blood "Obey, Adriel".
Immediately, dark smoke spread in the surroundings, shrouding the entire body of the demon in eclipse. The sliced parts of the demon collided together regaining their natural form.
After some time, the demon could already be seen kneeling on the ground while looking at Kevin with excited eyes. The demon's appearance hadn't changed at all, the only difference was a slight haze of smoke spreading from its armor.
"From now on, you are Adriel and demons are your enemies," Kevin declared with cold eyes as he glanced at the blue screen on the side.

"Sigh..." Kevin gave a deep and dissatisfied groan. Although the ability isn't that bad, all the other features are terrible. Kevin was also disappointed beyond measure with Laura's capabilities.
Even if she had a disadvantage on this island, it still isn't an excuse for losing to such weaklings. Laura should have defeated all three demons yet she has suffered such injuries and almost died.
"I'm not even going to bother turning these demons into servants," Kevin looked towards two other demons that were rammed into the ground with their skulls cracked wide open.
"Adriel, are there other demons on this island?" asked Kevin as the demon nodded in response. The fact that the servants couldn't speak was a major drawback.
However, Kevin was able to ask questions that could be answered with a nod, managing to gather at least some information. The feeling of emotions was also a factor that could help when communicating with Servants.
"Are they strong?" asked Kevin.
Yet, instead of a nod, Kevin sensed an inexplicable fear coming from the depths of Adriel.
'That strong? ' Kevin thought as he dissolved Adriel since there were no more questions to ask. The fact that there were a lot of dangerous demons on the island already answered any lingering issues.
There was only one thing to do at the moment.
Find out what's happening on this island and then get the hell out.
"Come out," Kevin called out to all his servants as he looked at them with cold eyes, "Those who haven't reached the superhuman level yet, step forth"
As the words rang out, the majority of the servants stepped forward as determination rose in their eyes. Judging by their master's feelings, it was clear that something great was about to happen.
"Eat up," Kevin smiled as he pulled tens, if not hundreds, of soul crystals from his backpack and tossed them forward.
Instantly, lust and hunger spread through the eyes of the beasts as they all rushed forward and scooped up as many soul crystals as they could in their arms. Kevin watched the scene with satisfaction as he moved towards the sleeping Laura and settled down right next to her.
"Guard us," Kevin commanded the lion while closing his eyes for peace. Kevin tried to fall asleep as quickly as possible before the headache would overwhelm him.
"Sophia ..." Kevin fell into the depths of slumber, reliving the same dream.
