Cave

"Are there demons in there?" asked Kevin, as he dismounted from the horse. After walking for some time, they finally reached the dark cavern that seemed to lead somewhere underground.

Fortunately, none of the beasts attacked Kevin while moving towards the destination as they didn't seem to be that interested. This once again showed Kevin that not all beasts are bloodthirsty creatures.

However, in order for humans to survive and unleash their true potential, killing beasts is something indispensable.

"Adrial, you will go in," Kevin said as the latter shivered slightly before nodding unconsciously.

"I will watch everything through your eyes and you will do whatever I command, no matter the situation," Kevin said as he ducked towards the green bush. Slowly, Kevin positioned himself under the leaves, trying to completely hide his appearance.

"You can go" After getting comfortable, Kevin signaled Adriel to move forward while activating [Servant Vision].

Immediately, the color of his eyelids changed, making them look somewhat lifeless. The vision blurred as Kevin reopened his eyes. This time, seeing an entirely different scene.

Adriel was already closing the distance to the cave with steady steps, apparently encouraged by his master's watchful gaze.

After some time, Adriel finally entered the darkness of the cave, as Kevin's heart skipped a bit. Although his real body was further away from the cave, he still managed to sense the danger brewing in the depths of the cave.

"Oh ... Aza-azazel, you are finally bac-back, we ha-have thought you were eaten by the beas-beasts," an eerie voice reached Kevin's ears as he began to command.

"Wait, wher-where are your drudges?" the eerie voice spoke up again as Adriel turned to face the demon. The first thing he noticed was a long spear pointed directly at his head, held by the dark creature behind it.

Rusty armor could be seen wrapping around the demon's skin as he shrugged his shoulders in displeasure.

"Why a-are you not answering? Lost your tongue al-along the way?" the demon asked, his voice full of derision.

However, Adriel, once again, did not answer, or instead, he wasn't able to. The demon didn't like the silence as he continued to reach his spear towards Adriel, alarmed.

"Aza-azazel?" the demon asked, waiting for an answer from the other side. Yet, the same outcome ensued. The demon became even more alarmed, wanting to take action and attack Adriel.

But a sudden pain in his leg forced the demon to pause. Despite the pain being scanty, it was still uncomfortable enough to take a peek. Looking down, the demon noticed a dark snake sucking at his own leg as it hissed softly.

Annoyed, the demon grabbed the snake with one hand and began to swat it with all his might. However, to his surprise, not only did the dark snake not seem to die, it actually began to bite his wrist.

"YOU DAMN SNAKE!" the demon yelled as he threw the snake away and grabbed the medium-sized stone on the ground, aiming towards the already incoming beast.

Yet, before he could throw the stone forward, a sharp pain jostled his back. Startled, the demon turned around, only to see Adriel looking at him with a bow in his hand.

"What the hell!!!" the demon yelled angrily as he clutched the spear, but suddenly another arrow landed on his chest. Coupled with the poison that has started to spread throughout the entire body, the demon didn't even have enough energy to stand on the ground properly.

"Hiss...", a snake bit into the demon again as he slapped it away. However, the force behind the blow was so weak that the snake wasn't even bent from the spot, proceeding to force more venom into the demon's body.

Slowly but surely, the demon's vision blurred as the spear fell to the ground with a slight bump. Without any more screams, the demon fell to the ground, dead.

Adriel looked at the demon's lifeless body with cold eyes before extending his hand forward. The snake, shattered by the demon's fall, promptly reappeared and crawled towards Adriel.

After wrapping itself around his hand and settling beneath the dark armor, it gave a satisfying hiss as if beckoning him to continue.

Although Rave was already a superhuman level snake, her physical attributes probably didn't even reach the third Human stage. The only development Rave had was an accretion of the venom, which meant that Rave could only rely on sneak attacks.

"Hiss..." With another hissing sound, Adriel finally strode further into the cave. The path ahead of him was completely plunged in darkness, making it hard not to trip over the medium-sized rocks beneath his legs.

However, far in the distance, a bright light could be seen, shining with all its ripeness. Below that brightness was a staircase that spread out underground.

Seeing the possible entrance into the demon's base, Kevin ordered Adriel to move faster.

After some time, Adriel had finally reached the path as he looked at the stairs from above. Fired torches were distributed along the route into the deepness of the cave that shone brightly all over the place.

If looked closely, one would notice that there was a purple light glowing at the end of the route while occasionally changing into a red color. Kevin also managed to perceive a faint hint of orange color wavering underneath, making him wonder what was going on there.

Adriel stepped forth, trying to keep his pace stable yet quiet. Kevin could clearly feel the buildup of emotion in Adriel's heart, which meant that danger was getting closer and closer.

However, Kevin had to figure out what was happening underneath, no matter how great the threat was. The fact that demons occupied this mysterious island could already be considered a threat to all of humanity.

The island's position was incredibly disadvantageous to humans. If the demons wanted to, they could attack the main infantry from behind, catching them by surprise.

Or either rush towards Japan and once again strike the peaceful land, making the situation even worse after the Hiroshima town outbreak.

'I wonder...what are they doing here?" thought Kevin, giving the order to the servant to move on. From the looks of it, the demons have been stationed on this island for a long time, considering that these vile creatures have even decided to set off flares around.

There was no news of demons being sighted between the countries of Japan and China, which meant that the demons haven't been revealing themselves yet and just stayed on this land. That raised the question...

What's going on on this island?

Keeping on his steady pace, Adriel quickly decreased the distance to the glowing colors. As soon as he stepped onto the last step, an unforgettable sight opened up before him.

Countless glowing stones, which shone with different kinds of colors, could be seen flickering around him. All of them differed in size, presenting the scene even more breathtakingly.

However, right below this pile of huge stones, numerous demons were constantly thrusting their shoulders towards these gems. While some of them were hoarding the fallen pieces of the jewels into the embrace and carrying them somewhere in the distance.

Fortunately, none of the demons seemed to be interested in Adriel, who just descended from above, as they proceeded with their usual business.

Adriel didn't seem to be particularly shocked by the scene while Kevin, on the other hand, looked aghast at it.

'Are those...Manastones?'
