Day 74- School Days aren't to bad

Rexford went to school as normal, spending time with those there. He also enrolled a very energetic Chitang in a special school that didn't not require attendance every day. The knowledge he absorbed made it impossible to have him in daycare. So he was told very adamantly by Wei Lan he would learn to control himself while going to school daily when needed.

Chitang obeyed as long as he got to go with Rexford to Canglong. The difference in a century-old beast and that of a child was apparently not that different. Not The human equivalent was developing in him anyway. The former snake needed to learn more about human mannerisms.

His courses in classes were kept up fine with his already expansive knowledge. The growth in cultivation just made it even better for him. Jiang Churan was taking care of her Li Yichen problem, and an arrest was made on her father.

Besides the gossip from those in school, she was doing ok, especially with the help of those from her group growing. Her friendship with Xu Rongfei, however, persisted as well as Zhang Yumeng.

Currently, in class during the break, Chang Wen came up to Rexford. Surprisingly a few when she kissed him and dragged him away to go eat. A power move ever so blatant.

"Have you studied for the tests today?" Rexford asked once they made it to the destination. The kiss was something but not much he put stock in since it was a social maneuver. The room was full of food that someone cooked themselves. Ji Xingyu was already eating with a few others from their group. "Nice spread."

Lots of the food was actually American. Which was definitely a good break from what was on campus at the school and nearby places.

"We have. How about yourself?" Chang Wen watched as he grabbed some food. Smiling seeing he went for the shrimp first.

"I did. A great deal actually." Popping a shrimp in his mouth, Rexford's eyes went wide. "These are really good!" Grabbing a few scoops more, he grabs some bread and mac & cheese. "Gonna be a good day."

"Aren't you happy." A'Xiu handed over a box. Rexford sat it to the side as the food was more important. "The box has the Aether Roc, or Fire Rock according to the books studied. It can gather Warm Qi right?"

"Yeah, that is right." Someone answered from the side. "Dong Du City's little situation has been taken care of." Ji Xingyu did not enjoy dealing with the frustrating people. "Mixed inside, the Aether Rock caused too many problems over several dozen football fields."

After a few bites, Rexford answered a little on the Fire Rock. Seeing her shining eyes.

"It is the same as the Cold Crystals. One for colder elements while this one for the warmer elements. Volcanoes or areas that have shifted from the Earth's Core. Most likely someone planted this years ago." Rexford reached over pulling out the rock. "Damn, near looks like a Fire Stone from Pokemon."

The stone had one surface that was rough with the other, smooth. Inside a type of Fire Qi danced around. Once his eyes landed on it fully, the Fire Rock lit up and then stopped moving inside.

"Eh... this thing can not be alive?" Rexford started turning it into a Talisman on a spot. Easier than the stuff the Black Gold Vortex produced to mess with in terms of durability. "Oh, it is just reacting to me. I wonder what to do with this?'

Not hearing any suggestions, Rexford placed it on his neck like a necklace after manipulating some material. The Constant Warm Qi produced by his body dropped down further. He was still warm but it was closer to a normal person now.

The Black Sun Art appears in the necklace and takes in the surroundings a little independently. A natural Qi gathering stone of sorts.

"About Jiang Churan's father.." Yang Chao bit the bullet and brought it up amongst the eating. "..the weasel was able to get out with a couple of contacts' help. Bribed enough people and made enough deals for him just to receive a blow to his image overall. But the word is out what happened. I doubt he moves up politically."

"I see." Rexford could only assumethe Tang's family let him off. Which was not good overall. "Well, unless Jiang Churan asks for help, leave it be. She wants to live in that life with that man; it is on her."

Taking his phone out, he sent a message to Sini Dova and Aunt Tang. The response from the two brought a smile to his face, however. He shared it with the others.

"The house belongs to Jiang Haishan. A few wheeling and dealing beforehand made sure he kept it. What a strong businessman he turned out to be." Rexford felt Jiang Churan moving to their location with a few others. Only a small frown appears before going away. "Jiang Churan, and Tang will move into one of the buildings the Ansatsuken opened. Defended with enough Formations and Arrays that they will be safer than they were before for one."

*Chk!* Jiang Churan, Xu Rongfei, and Zhang Yumeng came in. Ranran was more than welcome, kind of, but the rest, not so much. Yang Chao and Zhang Yumeng have been at least civil with one another since the weird breakup. Xu Rongfei technically worked for Rexford since the contract was done by Sini Dova, which was not a problem overall. We just need to keep dividing lines between the two of them.

"Rexford," Jiang Churan looked more than a little teary-eyed but was determined to ask what was on her mind. "is it ok what is happening?"

"Yeah, not a big deal at all for me." Rexford answered. "However, you may need to speak with your mom and Sini Dova to help you understand the feelings that will develop more later. Maybe even Wei Ziqing can help you, they are older women who went through different obstacles than yourself. Hell knows they are used to uncomfortable family issues as well from a young age."

Seeing him going back to eating after saying that, most were relaxed. Mengmeng was the only one who looked upset. But she was smart enough not to say a single word in disapproval. Too much about this Rexford guy contradict too much and her Martial Arts Master warned her off.

Rexford focused on eating and not talking much because of the Gold Qi that pooled back into Xu Rongfei but at least not as much in terms of quantity and quality. Zhang Meng also had some inside as well. More than her friends.. classmates. Why? Rexford was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Not anytime soon, though to many fires stoked at this time.

Teachers and tests-

.

The teachers were easily convinced to provide the assignments for several students to take harder College Courses by the Government. Everyone within Rexford's group besides Jiang Churan, Yang Chao, and A'Xiu would continue classes as normal. The latter is due to the "gap" from her cutoff studies before. Her actual sisters were receiving help from herself and Rexford but on the terms set up by Sini Dova to prevent an issue.

As they took the tests for the grade and college courses in front of the staff, quite a few of them were feeling the pressure. Since this was only a small part of the nurturing, they helped produce. Not at all in Rexford's case since he did not go here long at all.

*Dong!* It was 7:35 pm when the time was called. The teachers took the tests and locked them up, with members of the school board taking them away with military escorts. It was that serious in terms of Academic and Military image.

Ivy League schools really were pushing it. Then again, it helped solidify Rexford's cover more.

"Haaa, so much studying finally finished!" Ji Xingyu exclaimed. He was happy as his parents would be pleased about this and get off his back for other matters more now. He still had his personal dreams to take care of. But the World was much larger with the help of Cultivation to handle difficult matters. "Now I can do the college courses during regular school hours!"

Seeing him slumped over the desk, the teachers were at least grateful it was hard at least.

"Hmm," Rexford thought back to some of the tests and knew he made a mistake on something. He wrote it down on scratch paper to make sure he brushed back upon it later. Then he ended up doing that for the other questions he knew were wrong. "Ugh! I need to rego over my Botany work! As well as Herbology!"

This was not for show, as he definitely messed up some questions. Conflict with the few he knew in his Earth's Timeline and that of the current one.

"It will be fine." Chang Wen came over smiling. Considering the desks were so far away from each other, she had to walk a good bit. "So you decided what courses you are taking first?"

"Business obviously and various Fields of Science. Also, a few Astronomy and Engineering courses. Lots of degrees to obtain but so little .." Rexford stopped as she stared at him. "What is it?"

"Well, I am also taking up Medicine, so you are going to have to compete against me when the fields clash." Chang Wen smirked. "Need you to teach me Traditional Chinese Medicine to."

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

"Good." Chang Wen forgot she was in a room with several teachers as she planted a kiss on his lips. "So much I want to do with you. So many others in the way." The last part said a little darkly.

"Well, it is only going to grow.. so yeah." Rexford reminded her. Variety was good, and the emotional state of others could result in trouble for himself. That was not something he wanted to spend time on, several weeks or months to deal with. "You get upset with or don't want to talk, that's fine. Don't get mad when I am with someone else enjoying myself. Life is just too short for those that type of living."

"We will live a long time, so it makes sense a little." Chang Wen couldn't help but grab his hair. It was warm and soft in her hands.

"You two saved that for when you are not here!" One of the instructors chided. The door to the classroom opened up.

"Ehem!" A man had interrupted them despite the sign placed outside. Baring a slight resemblance to Change Wen. "What do you think you are doing with my daughter?"

"Nothing yet since we are in public." Rexford paid the man no mind. Neither did Chang Wen. The teachers were about to say something but stopped themselves. "You are not allowed on grounds without an escort. I suggest you go and find one before you are arrested."

"He is right." One of the security guards of the school said. Giving Rexford a look as he was a disciple from the Ansatsuken that was helped a few weeks ago. The network of standard disciples had started. "I don't care about your station or how rich you are; you are a danger to the students as far as I know."

He placed restraints on the man escorting him out. Not letting even a bit of protest stop him. Considering the man was normal, he didn't stand a chance against an Internal Force Cultivator.

"You plan on still going back home?" Rexford asked Chang Wen. She gave a simple nod. "If that is what you want."

"Well, unless you plan on taking me into your family, I kind of need to."

"I suppose I should make it official soon." Rexford leaned back in the chair, staring at her. "I don't mind putting you in my Family Directory, but you know that will be odd for you in school. I mean, the Registry only has myself, Chitang, Biao, and I think.. no just us. The number of people who will be listed as my "spouse," I guess, will be a lot. That's some emotional stuff I do not think you are ready for just yet despite maturity and development. Especially on a day-to-day basis."

"I am aware, but I need to talk some more with Sini Dova to make sure." Chang Wen thought open relationships were odd, but she also found herself happiest with him. "Marrying into your family, I will make sure to give my family a little bit of prestige and enough to shut up about my decisions."

"Hehe, here I thought I was going to see you as a blushing bride to somebody else." Ji Xingyu chuckled. "Pure white dress and all that. Rexford is a.." He dodged a pencil flung at him. "Jeez!"

*Thwang!* The pencil stuck in the wall a good bit. Alerting the teachers who knew about Internal Cultivators to take note. If they knew they had students capable of this, classes would have been different.
