5: Inside the Academy
Letting Zander and Fiorella register, Zarkesia sat down in one of the benches, it was located quite far from the fields but it has shade coming from the trees making the spot perfect, and most of all, only a handful students are there, not much noise is heard.
Zarkesia took a book about monsters in her bag and began to read. A few moments later she felt three people approaching her. Feeling their aura familiar she let them approach her as she continue to read her book.
"Hey Zarkesia, you just entered the academy and you already started reading books? Let's have fun together, I'll give you a tour inside this Academy" a beautiful but rough voice of a man entered her ears as a hand was placed in her shoulders.
Removing his hands she took her notebook out and wrote (Thank you but I don't need it, offer your tour to Zander and Fiorella, And please lower your voice Kaiden) after that she hand her notebook to their hands let them see it.
"Hahahaha, I say Kaiden, your voice is too loud for Zarkesia, let her have her peace, anyway Zarkesia are Zander and Fiorella already done in registration?" Naomi said as she took the seat beside her while Herald and Kaiden took the seat in front of them.
(They should be done in a while) writing that she returned to reading her book.
"Zarkesia, what's your ability level now?" Herald asked
Zarkesia put down her book as she stared at Herald, Herald is a good guy, but since they were in the same age and they have the same ability he felt competitive. He will always try to catch up to Zarkesia and try to overtake her but never once did he succeed be it in ability performance or tests.
Sighing Zarkesia gave a number of six and made them gasp.
"Wow! Herald just reached level five and you already reached sixth level?! Zarkesia you're definitely amazing! " Kaiden said as he gave her a big smile
'I think they'll be more than shock I'f I say that I'm almost reaching the seventh level' Zarkesia thought as she opened her book once again.
"Sister, we're done in registration, we'll go to the test area and will come back in two hours, since our cousins are here just stay with them and we'll be back at lunch time" Zander said quickly and when Zarkesia nodded at him he runs to Fiorella's direction
"Let's go, we'll first go to your dormitory to have you fix your stuff, the girls and Nita's dormitory are in different buildings, on the left is for the boys and in the right is for the girls, the first floor is a mini cafeteria, it's mainly used when students can't cook for themselves and eat breakfast there, the second to fourth floor are for first years, the fifth to seventh floor is for second years, the eighth to tenth floor is for third years, eleventh floor to thirteenth floor is for fourth year and the dormitories for seniors are in different buildings. There's also garden in the rooftop, it's open but most student don't use it as the wind up there is cold, there's also no shade, those who come there are few and mostly gardener." Kaiden and Naomi explain as they move towards the dormitory area, the west area.
Herald also help them in explaining, the areas of the academy are divided into four, the west for dormitories, south for the fields, north for the classrooms and east for staffs, teachers, heads buildings.
They also explained most of the rules like the curfew which is nine in the evening to three in the morning. They should also apply for leave once they decided to stay out of dorms because they will bear the punishment once they breach the rules.
There's also the uniform, a student must wear at least the uniform and I'd card, at most all necessary school uniform like the black shoes, white with golden lining blouse/polo, black with silver lining blazer, black skirt/pants with combination of gold and silver lining at the bottom, their academy pins and I'd cards. Academy pins are pinned in the chest area of the blazers, it was the sign of your year level, blue for 1st years, red for second, yellow for third, green for fourth, gold for senior one, silver for senior two and white for graduate.
The Academy card is the identification card for all students, staff and teachers, it's also used as money card, all the points accumulated through your efforts will be turned into money and of course not all can earn too many points for too much money, though that is not the case for Zarkesia since she already earned at least ten thousands of points for the past two years.
Those who rank from one to five hundred in academy ranking will also receive a handful of points, the points given differ as your rank becomes higher.
After thirty minutes of walking, they reached the dormitories.
"Call for us when you're done, we'll go to cafeteria and wait for Zander and Fiorella" Herald said and bid their goodbyes
Zarkesia nodded at them and gave a bow as a form of thanks
Entering the building, Zarkesia approach the Dorm Head Teacher, giving a note to her, the teacher gave a smile and hand a key to her. The key have the numbers and letter of 10.R.2 meaning tenth floor, in the right side, second room.
All of the room have at least three students living together, each individual room inside have their own bathroom, it has a kitchen and small living room. There's also balcony but it's rarely used by students because of it's small space.
Arriving at the tenth floor, Zarkesia walk to the second room in the right side. Looking at the door, she saw the names [Marielle Devin], [Jasmine Salan], [Zarkesia Deanna Louise].
Knocking at the door, Zarkesia waited for a response but no one opened the door, after five minutes of knocking, Zarkesia opened the door and found that no one is inside the room.
She walk to the individual rooms and found her name in a door. Opening it, she gave a look at her new room. Plain white walls, small bed white clean white sheets and two pillows, a big cabinet and a study table, there's a lot of space more so it should be for anything the owner wants to bring like own sofa or another cabinet or anything.
Arranging her clothes in the cabinet she placed all her belongings in the bed as she arranged them into their own place. The books are placed in the hanging shelf near the study table and her shoes are placed neatly in the shoe rack behind the door and finally, changing the white sheets and pillow cases into her favorite color light green and finally she observed her room. Looking at the familiar green bed sheets and shelf of books she smiled.
Touching the round earrings she took a look in the mirror she placed in the wall.
The round earrings are communication earrings, it was used inside the academy, each student have their own earrings and they have their own spell. Zarkesia's spell is ZFL03, her initials and year number, each student will decide their own spell so that anyone they gave their spell will be able to contact them.
Zarkesia then grab her pen and notebook and then placed them inside a small shoulder bag as she go out of her room.
In front of the teleportation circle, Zarkesia recited the spell inside her mind =Til første sal= meaning to the first floor.
Spells are used so that the energy inside the body or the power consumption will be low instead of high as the spell is used.
the circles are created for the application of the ability without the wielder, the circle Zarkesia used are to let everyone be able to go up and down the floors easily.
She then meet with Naomi and Kaiden with no Herald to see
(What's Wrong?) Zarkesia asked as she hand her notebook to Naomi
"Zarkesia, Zander's name isn't in the 1st year passing students, I don't know why his name isn't there when he's obviously good in his studies, Herald talked to a teacher and finding out what happened" Naomi explained as they walked to the fields
'Ahh... it must be that' thinking like this, Zarkesia relaxed and asked about Fiorella (How about Fiorella? What is her class?)
Naomi stared as her then answered "She's in the elite class, the eighth student in ranking, Zarkesia, Aren't you concerned about Zander? why are you so calm about this? " Naomi asked
(There's no worry about Zander, trust me) handing that note to both Kaiden and Naomi they met with Zander and Fiorella in the field, Fiorella has a shocked expression in her face as Zander have a peaceful smile in his face
"Zander! Fiorella! " Naomi called both of them and they ran to their sides
"Sister! I passed! I'm in the elite class too! " Zander gave a wide grin to Zarkesia and Zarkesia just patted his head after giving a smile
"Pa-passed? But-" before Kaiden speak what he's going to ask Fiorella spoke
"Zarkesia... your bother is a genius... he took a test for 3rd year students... he passed... among the repeaters of this academy for third years, he scored first... he scored full marks in all... say Zarkesia, what did you teach to Zander? " Fiorella asked shakingly
(I didn't teach much, he just studies what I'm studying over the last two years, whatever I study he also study, as simple as that)
With that note their three cousins gave her a blank look as if she's crazy and Herald came back with a face as if so loss in the world.
"Zarkesia... I admit that you're a difficult opponent but I never imagined that your brother will take an exam for third years... you siblings ... are you two a prodigy or what?" Herald said as he ruffled his hair
"I just want to be with my sister everyday, what's wrong with that? I can't take an exam when I'm under 15 so I just studied hard so I could skip the levels and go straight to my sister's class" Zander said as he shrugged looking as if he's innocent with nothing done wrong
